He nodded his head softly, seeming to agree with everything that Sebastian was saying. "It must be, there's no chance that this is random coincidence. I believe there is at least one other, I saw the wings of a white dragon dip beneath the clouds earlier. It's most likely a rider from upper Cuthos. I'm not certain whether they are friend or foe." He explained, trying to push the images of the dream out of his head for the moment. "There could be more than that, I'm not sure, the night is still young." He said softly. There soon came a buzzing sound that Ellisar didn't seem to notice as he didn't have the heightened senses of the vampires. It sounded like the buzzing of a humming bird's wings, and it was gradually getting closer. Soon even Ellisar could hear it, and he looked around in confusion, tensing with uncertainty. Suddenly, what looked like a golden comet shot over the trees above their heads, narrowly whizzing past Isolde from her perch and past the camp for a few seconds before shooting back towards them. It stopped above them, revealing that it was not a comet, but instead an glowing fairy. "The party has arrived!~" The fairy called out in a fruity fashion, it seemed he wasn't worried about stranger danger at all. As he floated above the two, orange glittering dust fell from his fluttering wings. Ellisar looked at it, thinking it was beautiful, and when it landed on his skin, it felt gently warm like sunlight. But when it landed on the vampire's skin below him, it burned like red hot steel pellets were landing on him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sebastian nodded thoughtfully and looked to where Ellisar was describing but personally didn't see anything. He knew that didn't mean it wasn't there though. Sebastian had heard it before he seen it, the buzzing being insistent and becoming louder by the second. He scrunched his nose as he looked around for the source as it got closer; Sebastian covered one of his ears. Sometimes having heightened senses was a curse. He watched as it wizzed past the trees and it illuminated Isolde where she was perched. He watched as his sisters face contorted with pain as the sparks from the small comet landed on her. When it came back around and revealed itself as a fairy Sebastian wasn't too surprised. Fairies were known for being bright a bubbly creatures. As he watched the fairy's display with not a care in the world if they were dangerous or not he felt the dust hit his skin. He couldn't help the loud snarl that fell from his lips and he pulled his arm to his chest and stepped several feet away from the fairy. His snarl had alerted Nyx to his side immediately though she was unsure why her master had done it she was ready to protect him at any cost. Sebastian contained his composure and looked at the wound. It had welled up much like an oil burn would. He was curious why the dust had harmed him as he watched his wounds quickly disappear and fade. He had also been oblivious that his sister was now by his side seemingly unharmed as her wounds had healed quickly as well. He turned to the fairy with a glare, "Why the hell did your dust hurt like that? It felt like the sun itself had touched my arm..." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ellisar was definitely surprised and confused by Sebastians reaction since the dust was having no effect on himself. He felt the tension in the air from the angry vampires and wolf, so he scooted back away from the fire and backed up so that he was standing close to Sonnuri. The large dragon was on his feet now, his mouth open slightly wirth a snarl, ready to handle the situation of he had to. The fairy had clearly greatly disturbed the peace. The fairy tilted his head as he watched this all unfold, but didn't seem frightened despite the tension. He made an assessment and saw the siblings for what they were, creatures of the night. He put the pieces together and smiled, waving his hand dismissively as he began to speak. "I didn't realize there would be vampires here! I'm not sure I've ever met a vampire before!" He said with a grin, lowering himself until he stood on the ground. Once his wings stopped moving, the dust stopped sloughing off of him. "I'm a sunlight fairy! Sooo my dust is basically like, little bits of sunshine. It's an honest mistake, no need to get upset over it. " He stated, not seeming to think he had really done anything wrong. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sebastian glared at the fairy, his eyes darkening dangerously. "Well keep your dust to yourself please." He snarled again and told Nyx and his sister to relax. The moon was getting lower in the sky signaling the darkness was going to end soon. Even with their capes the vampires shouldn't be out in the sun. "I think its best if we either sleep and all get some rest or try and figure some of this out. Tensions are obviously high, I mean most of our species haven't even been in contact each other." He backed further away with his sister and Nyx who had gone back to her happy self. He was unsure how to feel about the fairy and he had become increasingly aware of the watchful eyes of the other dragon and the person hiding out. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Theodis still didn't like the look of things, but figured eventually he was going to have to join in the fun. He put his spy glass away and took a deep breath, clicking to Ithorris to take off. She took off, beating her massive wings to get elevation and flying the short distance to the camp. They circled over the camp once, her powerful wings causing heavy winds on the camp below, blowing the fire down to embers. Ithorris landed in an open spot and stood tall for a moment. She was a gorgeous, large dragon, her scales practically glittering white and her eyes piercing blue. Her presence definitely demanded attention. Sitting atop her in a saddle was a cloaked figure, he turned and slid down off her, landing on his feet with a slight grunt. He stood there in silence for a moment, taking them all in and letting them take him in as well. It was hard to see now that the fire was out, they could see only my the dim light of the moon and the slight glow that came off of the fairy. Ellisar squinted his eyes in the darkness, he had not been blessed with darkvision, and struggled to see who had arrived. He lifted his hand, using a bit of magic to summon a light orb. He held it in his hand for a moment before tossing it up lightly and allowing it to float. It didn't cast much light, but it cast enough for him to see what was going on. He looked at the stranger and at his dragon, immediately recognizing him as being a soldier belonging to the Brotherhood of Shadows Cast after seeing the emblem on his saddle. He wasn't afraid of the soldier, knowing they were sworn an oath to do no harm to the innocent. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sebastian squinted at the figure and the dragon. He was mesmerized by the dragons enormous stature and stunning looks. He wasn't the most sociable vampire due to mostly staying inside for the past 100-200 years so he just awkwardly stood there, not knowing what to say. He looked at his sister eyeing the man who slid off the dragon and rolled his eyes. ------------------------------------------------- Isolde stood beside her brother as the dragon landed. She wasn't as interested as her brother in the dragon but the figure who had slid off. She looked him up and down shamelessly and smiled. She wasn't sure she couldn't be sure if the man could be trusted yet or not so she kept her distance for now. Though she suddenly remember the fact she had left all of their supplies in the forest and quickly ran off and then back to retrieve it. "Sorry brother, Nyx was tired so I took it off momentarily but its all safe." Her eyes glowed slightly more then normal, she was hungry since they hadn't eaten since they left the house which was about 4 days ago. She whispered to her brother and told him they should hunt soon especially being around so many people who weren't vampires. Sebastian nodded and said they would hunt later once everyone was more settled making sure to be quiet as to not freak out the others. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Theodis took it all in for a moment, surveying what was before him. They were a rag tag bunch, two vampires, a fairy, and a half elf...and a wolf and dragon. He felt outnumbered being the last one there, but a soldier knew no fear, so he held his head high and walked towards the group. As he got closer, he pushed his hood off to reveal himself better. He was definitely easy on the eyes, tall with a muscular build and handsome, sharp features. A prominent brow, deep dark eyes, and light stubble from days of travel. He stood before them now, his eyes drifting across each of them before he cleared his throat and spoke. "I am Theodis Adric of The Brotherhood of Shadows Cast, well met." He stated, introducing himself in a firm voice. Ithorris and Sonnuri were eyeing each other from a distance as if they were sizing each other up, but the two massive animals kept calm for now. Ellisar looked at the admittedly handsome soldier, but seemed oddly tense now that he was here. He didn't care much for The Brotherhood, or anyone from upper Cuthos really. He found their way of doing things to be barbaric, so he kept quiet and decided to allow someone else to talk instead. In the meantime, Solaris was sitting on a log nearby, watching with disinterest as if the arrival of the soldier was an annoyance. He listened, but for now didn't care to join in either. Sebastian gave a nod of acknowledgment to Theodis, "I am Sebastian," he nodded to his sister, "and this is Isolde, my sister." Sebastian wouldn't lie to himself, he had checked out the man once his cloak was off, but that was never going to happen. They were all sworn enemies and that most likely wouldn't change, even after this little mission. Nyx went up to Theodis without a care in the world and sat in front of him, tongue lolled to the side and giving him puppy eyes. Sebastian chuckled to himself, "Seems she likes Cuthos people." They were the only ones she had seemed to really go up to and show interest in besides her master. Isolde had been simply watching the conversation and finally decided to sit having been in her feet for far too long. "I suppose we should discuss why we are all here... We know its due to the dreams, or prophecy's, we are all having. Does anyone happen to know why it told us to come here of all places or where we should get answers from?" (Lol very much so) 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 14/09/24 @ 21:07:57 by Ghost | π (#483774) |

Theodis looked down at the wolf, not seeming nearly as interested in her as Ellisar had been. Nonetheless, he held his hand out to her, letting him get his scent before he patted her on the head. It wasn't like the adoring scratches Ellisar had given, the pats seemed almost transactional, as if he were shaking hands. After the pats, he stepped around the wolf and moved to sit near the others to engage in the conversation. He looked around at the others as he listened to Isolde speak, not sure how to answer, so he shook his head. Solaris piped up at this point while looking at his nails. "Well, clearly some divine entity has been sending us these dreams, and that over there is a Selunite Temple." He pointed to the decaying building. "Maybe Selune herself has been sending us the messages, afterall, she is the Goddess of Night, I don't see why she can't control dreams." He shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe we are supposed to go inside?" Ellisar listened, he didn't really like the idea of going into a creepy, decrepit temple. Especially after the terrible dreams they had been experiencing, but frankly he didn't see that there was any better options. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sebastian snorted at the little transaction of Theodis and his wolf. Nyx seemed annoyed she didn't get more love and huffed before moving back towards her master. He pet her as she curled up at his feet and watched everyone with watchful eyes. Sebastian continued to stand not feeling like sitting. He looked at everyone, such a strange group to be chosen for this he couldn't quite understand it. As Solaris piped up he listened though he was still incredibly wary of the fairy being. As he listened the fairy made more and more sense. Once he had finished speaking he spoke up, "As much as I hate the idea its probably best so go inside. Sitting out here and doing nothing isn't going to help anything and its honestly wasting time that I don't think we have." He looked to the sky once again, the sun was going to be up soon anyway and the creepy cave was going to be the only way he and his sister get out of the suns wrathful path. Isolde stood, "So we doing this or what?" she said with a bit of disdain in her voice. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Theodis stood, seeming to agree that this was the best option at the moment. He looked towards the temple and nodded, not showing any fear. He started to walk towards it, wanting to give the impression that he was a leader and that he was fearless, though of course he felt a sense of fear of the unknown. Ellisar looked unsure, but he stood slowly, not seeing that they had much of a choice. "Alright...If we must..." He said softly with a nod, slowly starting to walk with the others towards the abandoned temple. Sonnuri and Ithorris of course would have to wait outside, Sonnuri didn't like this fact at all, but knew there was nothing to be done about it. Solaris rolled his eyes at the slow pace of the others, fluttering his wings so he was flying and zipping right into the temple. The others would watch as his glowing light disappeared into the darkness of the temple. Either he was a blundering fool with no sense of danger, or he knew something that they didn't. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sebastian was quick to follow the group with Isolde behind him. He had ordered any to stay here and stand guard with the dragons. She whimpered at this, wanting to go in but obeyed with a huff.. Both him and his sister stayed far away from the fairy which wasnβt hard considering he whizzed past them all. Sebastian was becoming more and more suspicious of the fairy but kept it to himself. As they walked along Sebastian ran his hands on the walls with strange carvings in a language that was long lost by now. He tried making sense of some of the things carved into the stone but even with his years of knowledge he found nothing to be familiar. As the footsteps of the group echoed it seemed to be getting louder signaling they were approaching an opening in the narrow hallway. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Theodis curled his nose as they walked into the temple, it smelled old and musty, He had never explored any place like this, curious about the writing on the wall but having no clue what any of it means. There were also carving that looked like art, depicting events that happened. He stopped, looking at one that showed 3 figured casting magic upon a demonic looking creature. There was an orb around the creature that the 3 figures were creating. He didn't know much about Selune, or the history surrounding the Goddess. He assumed perhaps this was depicting some fable about her. He turned away from the wall and kept moving, going deeper into the temple. It soon opened up into a large room, it had many statues in it and an alter in the center. The alter was shaped like a birdbath essentially with a pool of water. There was a skylight in the ceiling where moonlight was pouring into the room and hitting the water. Solaris was in the room, looking curiously at the alter and then up at the skylight thoughtfully. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sebastian took in the look of the room, walking around the statues and running his hands along the walls again. He seemed to be very lost in thought and was hardly paying attention to anyone around him. He eventually came up to the pool of water and contemplated running his hand in it but thought otherwise and continued walking along. Isolde watched everyone in the corner silently observing before she walked up to Solaris. She, unlike her brother, was interested in the fairy and found how they acted curious. βWhatβre you looking?β She kept her distance but wanted to figure out what the fairy was thinking as she seemed to have the most knowledge as of right now. As Isolde waited for the reply from Solaris there was a loud crash. She looked over at the source of the crash to see her brother profusely apologizing to Theodis who he had, by the looks of it, ran into in his mindless daze of everything. She couldnβt help the small giggle that escaped her mouth as she watched her brother fumble over his words like an idiot. If they had been in any other situation she probably would make fun of him but he seemed embarrassed enough already. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Solaris looked up at Isolde as he heard her ask the question and then heard the commotion between the two largest men of the group. He let out a small snort of amusement before he looked to Isolde to answer her question. "I was just thinking, it's interesting that this alter is reflecting the moon." He pointed at the skylight and looked at the water. "With the moon being full, it has almost filled the circle." He pointed out, the moon was nearly fully reflected by the water, just a sliver of it was outside the circle. "I wonder if as the moon moves, it will line up eventually." He pondered. (Btw, I'm calling Solaris a he at the moment, but that could change. They look gender neutral to me, so I could decide he is actually a she since I do have all male characters at the moment XD) Theodis glared up at Sebastian from where he had been knocked over after being bumped into. He stood quickly, standing nearly eye to eye with Sebastian, his eyes filled with anger. But as he heard Sebastian apologize, he seemed to accept that it was an accident and his expression softened slightly, but still looked quite annoyed. He took a step back from Sebastian, forcing himself to calm down. "Watch yourself." He warned firmly, brushing his clothes off in a huff before moving to continue exploring. It was obvious that Theodis was quick to anger as it seemed he had been ready to fight over such a minor accident. Ellisar took mental note of this, people like that could be dangerous. 0 players like this post! Like? |
