Corvona smiled at the two, bowing his head in greeting. He looked over to said lioness, who was overcome by two cubs. If they kept that up, she really would be spitting fire soon

The two young lionesses grin and bounce a bit on their paws.
"A king? Really?! We don't get to see our king much. He kinda stays away from everyone, well he is our former king anyway! We will be finding new homes soon with Ayame's help!"

Fireweed growls, catching the duo's attention. "And You are tasked with helping her clean out those dusty caves are you not? She can't get there hereself, so get to it and take these ruffians with you!" With Fireweed's command they quickly scamper off, grabbing the protesting male cubs to help them clean cobwebs, making a game out of it.Whoever had the most cobwebs on their tail would win! Ayame chuckles lightly and flattens her ears a bit as Fireweed introduces herself. "Sorry about those two.They are very hyper, even at their age. I am Fireweed, but you can call me Eros." She holds her head up with the dignity of a queen, even though she is pretty much pancaked out on the sand, obviously tired.

((Also, just letting you know there is an easter egg from the roleplay in Ayame's "shop" art! x3 The Riverside I say shop loosely because nothing is being sold haha))

When Sunglare look closer she sees a gazelle herd with the zebra. " What do you think of having gazelle for brerakfast Quinn?" she asks him. THe zebras and Gazelles don't notice Sunglare and Quinn. " i didn't mean to embarase you Quinn. I'm sorry" sunglare says to Quinn.

" i will teahc you how to hunt. first you want to stay down wind so the prey can't smell you. second you want to pick out the youngest or oldest member of the herd. Three work together to separate you target prey from the heard" Sunglare says to Quinn. Sunglare hides in the tall grass so the zebra and gazelle can't see her.

Corvona added in quickly, before Fireweed sent them off to clean; some of the male cubs did not sound enthusiastic in the slightest, but they followed (or were dragged along) anyway. Corvona smiled at the cubs, before returning his gaze to the pregnant lioness, who had sprawled herself out onto the sand. Despite this, she had an air of royalty about her.

"Hello, Eros. Nice to meet your acquaintance. I see those cubs have you tired." Corvona said formally; he was unsure of what rank the lioness he was speaking to was, so it was a safe move to stay somewhat polite in her presence.

(Again, sorry for not responding in a while, I've been busy ;u;)

I curl my lip back, in a mocking sort of way. "Well, this snake seems to obey me, doesn't he? He won't betray me," I pause, thinking back to the time that Nightmare fed me that terrible jellyfish, "like some others will. So, I can trust him. Surely you have something or someone like that, yes?" I finish.
The cubs were still circling and squealing, now chasing each others' tails. They hadn't noticed the lion getting up.

Fireweed sighs and nods. "I'm not used to being a cubsitter. It isn't really my job after all." She growls and gets up, seeing that the naughty cubs had decided to ruin ayame's sandcastles. "Pardon me a moment.... She proceeds to scold the little ones, chasing them as they squeal about how a mean "dragon" was going to eat them for dinner.

Ayame sighs with a light chuckle. Fireweed had a bit of a short temper. "She is lonesome's Queen. I'm sorry if she came off a little harsh, she isn't from around here." She says watching the lioness follow the cubs.

Friend's grin fades and his expression becomes blank.Someone he could trust?He shakes his head and grins. There was someone he did trust,but she wanted nothing to do with him. "I only trust cubs, and a single lioness, though she hates my guts." He laughs as if the lioness he was speaking of only disliked him as some sort of cruel prank.

"I had a sneaking suspicion that she wasn't the average lioness; as you said, most cubsitters learn how to deal with unruly cubs easily. And, no, not harsh. I understand her situation, although if I was in her paws I'd play along with the cubs and perhaps they'd get bored." Corvona laughed back to Ayame, watching the cubs further annoy fireweed.

"She seems nice, though I bet we'd see her nicer personality more if she hadn't been burdened with cub duty." Corvona added.

My ears perk, and I'm suddenly alert. There must be a reason the lioness hated him... and I needed to know it, in case it was something about this lion that would tell me if I should return to my pride quickly with the cubs. "Why might this lioness dislike you?" I ask.
