Swiftstrike watches Harepaw stand up. He can see her mouth moving but the ringing in his ears were still to load to hear what someone was saying unless they were close and load. He wants to say something, anything but his voice doesn't work. He does manage a small squeak. Progress, he thinks glumly. He wan't very social but he wanted to at least talk if her couldn't move.

Hawkpaw looked outside. "I think we can go." He meowed. He could actually see where things were. "I'd say we go," He started getting himself unstuck from the mud. "Now!" He called slithering out from the small hole they had found. He grabbed his mouse, his small fish, and his peasant. He ran to camp covered in mud and his prey in his mouth. He was wet, cold, and tired. He waited for Snowpaw at the camp entrance.

Swiftstrike vision gets a bit better. He tries to sit up but just wiggles his feet, rolls around his head, and lets out a pathetic squeak. Great, he thinks angry, now I look even more pathetic. He catches his breath. Ug, even that hurts he thinks gloomy. He goes limp but keeps his eyes open as a sign that he's awake. He angry he couldn't do anything. He manages a sigh.

Snowpaw jumps a bit when Hawkpaw yells now. She grabs her mouse and runs after him. She runs in the direction of camp. He stops at the camp entrance. She catches her breath. "Ug, I'm terrible at running." she says. She was happy to be back at camp. She walks to the prey pile and drops her mouse in it. She realizes that Hawkpaw caught much more than her. "Good, job" She says smiling. "You yourself are feeding lost of cats." She remarks. She remembers they cry for help had herd. She wondered if anyone was hurt. "Hey, I think I heard someone cry for help, right before the present. Did you hear that?" She asks Hawkpaw, walking back to him.

Hawkpaw pants a little then turns to Snowpaw. He did hear it. "Yeah I did, let's see if any cats are in the medicine den." He meowed then quickly walked to the fresh-kill pile. He dropped his prey then ran back to Snowpaw. His fur was still covered in mud but it blended with his brown pelt. He looked inside the medicine den and saw Stripepaw. He also saw Swiftstrike. "What happened?" He asked looking to the two toms.

Snowpaw walks in after Hawkpaw. She did not like the sound of 'What happened'. Her heart beats fast as she peaks in. She sees Stripepaw, probably in there because of his shoulder, Horsetail, Snowecho, Icepaw her sister, and Swiftstrike. The sight made her jump a bit. His fur looked burnt. He looked very weak. Her heats was beating fast. She remembers how bad the storm was just a bit ago. "Was it... Lightning? Is that even possible?" She think outlaid. Her heart beats faster knowing the answer will be yes.

Hawkpaw looks over to Snowpaw. She was right. How could a cat get hit by lightning? He turned back to Swiftstrike who looked like he could barely move. His fur also looked a bit burnt. Hawkpaw also turned to Stripepaw who was sitting there. Horsetail was sitting by him. Hawkpaw looked at how full the medicine den looked. He had never seen it so full before.

Stripepaw looked over to Snowpaw and Hawkpaw. "What are you two doing here?" His eyes were narrowed and he looked like we was about to claw someone. He was always this way when he was in pain or sick. Either he would not talk at all and lay around not moving like at all or he would shift positions and snap at anybody who looked at him. Sometimes he could control it. Sometimes.

Snowpaw hated it when cats were rude. Though she didn't want to be rude back. "We... we thought someone would be hurt..." She says. She looks around and also sees Harepaw, she knew hare paw was Swiftstrike's apprentice. How terrible that must be, seeing your mentor in so much pain. Snowpaw's atomic takes a couple turns then settles down. It was dreadful to see a cat in so much pain.

Swiftstrike knows more cats had walked in. He heard faint talking but couldn't make out any words. Well, at least my hearing os getting better, he thinks. He is able to lift his head some. He could see the cats now. Snowpaw and Hawkpaw look like they just walked in, he thinks, he knew Stripepaw, Horsetail, Snowecho, and Harepaw were here the whole time. He plops his head down again, tired.

The medicine cat placed the two sticks, on either side of the apprentices leg, Horsetail fasted them with some cobwebs. The tom then applied a poultice of Broom and Comfrey, he had already prepared it, and applied the thick green poultice to the apprentices shoulder. This should help a bit, though the smell always made Horsetail's sensitive nose complain. Placing a layer of cobwebs over the dark green poultice, Horsetail examined his work. Good, this would would not need regular checking, it would take a while to heal, so he could use some Bindweed.
Taking the long green plant in his mouth, Horsetail started work on binding it around Stripepaw's leg and shoulder. By the time he was done with this, Stripepaw's shoulder was completely covered and he looked like he had armor on. "This should be good", Horsetail said, looking over his work. "If you find that it is coming loose, let either me or Snowecho know. You can lay back down again", the dark sand colored tom said, gathering up the leftover cobwebs and bindweed.
Looking up, Horsetail noticed that Hawkpaw and Snowpaw had come in. Alright, this was too much. Letting out a sigh, Horsetail went over to the apprentices. Looking down at Harepaw, the sand colored medicine cat gave her a kind smile, "There is not much we can do, but something that I know will help him, is having you near him", he said. It was the truth, there was not much they could do for a cat struck by lightning, it was actually a miracle that Swiftstrike was still alive. Even so, it was in StarClan's paw to decide if he should make it or not. Horsetail hated that thought. Looking back at Hawkpaw and Snowpaw a thought came to him, "Can you two go and fetch Lioncloud? We need someone to keep Swiftstrike warm and company for the night", Horsetail said. The elder was a fluffy cat and he was also quite notorious for never sleeping.

The she cat nodded at Horsetail's words and hurried back over to Swiftstrike. She laid down next to him, closer this time. Her cheek resting against his head. She over heard Horstail say how her mentor would need warmth and company through the night. Though she wouldn't be much warmth, she vowed to stay by his side. If it was the least she could do, then she was going to be there to do as much of it as possible. Her own needs aside to make sure he is cared for.

Hawkpaw nodded and walked away. He found Lioncloud in the Elder's den. "Lioncloud? Can you stay with Swiftstrike tonight?" He asked poking his head in the den. He looked to the fluffy elder. No wonder Horsetail suggested him. He's so fluffy and could help keep Swiftstike warm. Hawkpaw thought.

Stripepaw looked at his arm. It felt strange and weird. He laid down watching it carefully. He didn't want to break it. He looked back to Horsetail. "Thanks." He meowed feeling his fur start to lie flat. He hadn't really noticed it was ruffled. Stripepaw looked over to Snowpaw, he wasn't quite sure why she was there. Stripepaw laid his head on his paws and closed his eyes yet didn't fall asleep.

The calico elder looked up from the mouse he was eating, as a young voice called out his name. Getting to his large paws, the fluffy tom walked towards the entrance of the elders den. A young tom was standing there, probably an apprentice. Lioncloud did not keep up with the names of all the cats, but he was pretty certain that this was Hawkpaw?
Nodding his head, the elder asked, "What happened to him?" Lioncloud's voice was hoarse and raspy, ever since he had been badly injured on his throat, while he was still an apprentice, the calico toms voice had never truly recovered. Walking passed the apprentice a bit, he saw that it was still pouring outside. The old toms fur stood on end, making him look even bigger than he already appeared to be with his long, thick fur.

"Swiftsrike was struck by lightning. He's still alive but barely. Right now he's in StarClan's paws." Hawkpaw meowed leaving mud prints all over. He looked over to Lioncloud and saw that he was even bigger. He held back his laugh but just barely. "Right now I think he just needs warmth, he is probably pretty cold." Hawkpaw meowed again feeling rain splash onto his pelt.

Snowpaw looked at Harepaw. she felt bad for the apprentice. The sight of seeing your mentor being struck by lightning. She knew that had to be terrible. She wanted to convert the apprentice but wan't sure how. The medicine den was getting cramped. Snowpaw wondered if it was ever this cramped. She knew Lioncload was fluffy, then it will be even more cramped.

Swiftstrike was sure cats were talking, but he was upset that he couldn't tell what yet. He felt Harepaw near him. He manages to turn his head. He keeps his eyes open and can see Harepaw's face. He realizes that he can see her face clearly but farther away things seem blurry. "H-h" He tries to say. He wants to talk to her, which is not a normal wish for him.

The calico tom nodded his head, if cats were being struck by lightning, the elder hoped that not more cats would come back injured or worse. As the elder turned back to Hawkpaw, he noticed the apprentices muddy paws. There were small paw tracks everywhere along the entrance, he'd have the apprentice clean that up later. "Let's not waste any time than", the fluffy tom rasped. Heading out of his comfortable den, the calico tom started walking across camp. Lioncloud had a pronounced limp in his left leg, which slowed him down, still he did not feel a single drop hit his skin through his thick fur.
Reaching the medicine cat den, the elder peared inside. There were quite a lot of cats, though it seemed that they luckily only had two patients. Stepping into the den, Lioncloud shook his fur free of the water droplets that had gathered on top of it. His eyes moved over to where Swiftstrike lay, the tom looked to be in very ruff shape. Letting out a sigh, Lioncloud moved over to the injured warrior. Giving Horsetail a nod as he passed by the dark sand colored tom, Lioncloud wrapped his large fluffy shape around the injured tom. Giving Harepaw an effectianet lick on her head, he gave her a kind smile. "Don't worry, your mentor is strong", the elder said, in his deep voice.
