"I understand, just be careful." He said, not eager to lose another cat, or get another injured one. He gave a tiny smile at the comforting words, glad that Mumblepaw had faith in him and the other medicine cats. "I think the others need to hear that." He commented, waving his tail a bit as the apprentice left. He tilted his head back to the sky and scoffed. StarClan could not be real. They would not have allowed this to happen.

When the patrol had finished up, Hollowfall led them all back to the camp entrance, where he was met with the sight of Hawkpaw, who looked like he was close to crying. "What's wrong?" He asked, his pelt spiking at the stench of fear and grief that emanated from the camp. "What happened?" He was utterly confused and worried as he stared down at the young tom, his claws unsheathed and digging into the ground anxiously.

The nervousness turned into a shaky whisper. Aspensong looked up and looked blankly at through the apprentices and his mind went to Basilleaf. Only now did a twinge of worry sink into his mind. Aspensong tilted his head and recalled something about chasing a rouge. He meowed, again more to himself and forcing the insistence into his voice, "She's a strong cat. She will be fine. She is fine." He licked his teeth, his throat is raspy from a long thirsty night. Aspensong glanced over at the dead apprentice, then looked away and closed his eyes. Lost at words because he had no answers.
