It's really become annoying to see 10+ "what can I get for 1 SB" trades in TC - they clutter up the Currency section of TC and TC in general. I also feel they are a method of begging, as the trades are offering basically nothing in exchange for items. I feel these should be reportable or even prevented if coding allows. At this time, I would like to point out that for the next two weeks you all have an opportunity to say something that can make a difference regarding these trades in this topic made by the admins: https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429462337 |

Supported- was gonna suggest something like this myself but you beat me to it. imo its straight up begging albeit through a loophole since theres nothing in game thats arguably worth a single sb. Same can be said for the "trade up game" trades popping up in tc, asking people to offer things for 1sb as a game to see how much they can get. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Supported. I was considering suggesting blacklisting certain words in trades but this is really the thing that's making me cope and seethe as of late. It's not a trend, it's scamming but with accepted terms and conditions for the keks (don't offer anything you don't expect to lose!!1!) 👏 Also think "what can i get" trades in general are absolute clutter because 9/10 times you're not going to accept anything that isn't of greater value, but get rid of 1 SB trades and I'll shut my mouth 🥰 0 players like this post! No support from me. The reasons are as follows: 1. Not scamming as you are still getting payment for what you offer. If you offer something worth 10x more than 1 SB then that is on you. 2. If you don't like it, ignore it. Not hard to do, yes annoying but possible to do. 3. Even if the player doesn't accept an offer, its on them. 4. Begging is asking for something and not offering something in return. 5. On the topic of Trade UP Games/Trades, that is something that is actually kinda neat. A player starts the game off with a low amount and others offer a higher value. In the real world its considered "Bobby Pin for a House". You start with a bobby pin and trade up until you get to a house. Everyone has a chance to offer what they want. If you are not a fan of the game, again ignore the trades. 6. Setting a minimal value on trades will cause the whole offer what you think its worth or what about the NCL's that people sell for 1 SB just to be rid of them. Not going to lie here and say that maybe having a different area for certain things wouldn't help. But to place a rule to remove the 1 SB trades is just a way to keep players for offering certain things. What happens when a new player has 1 SB or 2 SB and they are wanting to find out what they can get for it. You are basically telling that player, "Sorry but 1 SB or 2 SB trades are no longer allowed. If you place a trade up like that, you can get in trouble." Again No support for me. 4 players like this post! Like? |

I tend to ignore them, myself, but definitely support this as there seem to be more and more of them lately. I'll agree with Honeynectar that it's not begging but it's still a bit iffy. I dislike that it's pitched as a game or challenge, since it seems to draw interest, yet the individual is profiting off it from the get-go. Edit: Shadow suggested an alternative solution on page 9. I'm going to withdraw support for this suggestion as it currently stands, since I agree that outright banning isn't the best way to go about this. I'll be leaving my original responses up. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 21/03/22 @ 16:27:27 by Kit in a Box ~🌸~ (#61637) |

support. they're super annoying and spammy. if players want to play a "game" like that, they should keep it contained to a forum or a clan or something. dont bring it into the TC where it clogs up the pages and obscures legitimate trades. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Shadow - If you want to discuss semantics, then yes, it's not scamming because you're offering something that is virtually but not literally worthless. I assume you mean "ignore" as in "actively choose to not perceive something" despite it being present. I would prefer an "out of sight, out of mind" option for those of us that consider these clutter and don't want to see them at all. That's why I suggested a function to blacklist certain words in trades, because I at least don't want to be subjected to having 3-5 of these trades on the front page at any one time but it's also annoying to manually block people in order to not see this "trend". It would provide a hands-off alternative where I can better filter the TC for exchanges I actually care about without having to engage with the people who choose to create 1 SB/trade up trades. 0 players like this post! it is such clutter. i like to check the currency filter to see if someone might be properly selling SB for GB or wanting decor and it is plagued by them. it's hard to ignore when it's clogged with them like american arteries. my friend literally avoids trading center because it's such a pain in the ass. people are actively being discouraged from interacting with a pretty core component of the actual game by these "joke" trades. trading center should be for what's in the name. legitimate trading. if they want to play this game, they can take it to forums and private trades. 0 players like this post! So much support for this, it's increasingly spammy the way these kind of trades are clogging up the TC. Tbh I often just block the players who do this a lot, simply because blocking prevents me seeing their trades. It's overkill in a way because I don't necessarily want/need to block them in all other areas, but the trades can get annoying enough to be worth it sometimes 0 players like this post! Like? |

i've considered blocking them but at the end of the day I would have such a bloated blocklist and sore wrists when really they should just. take their bandwagon elsewhere. the way its being called a challenge makes me feel like we're on some social media w kiddos lmao 0 players like this post!
