It's really become annoying to see 10+ "what can I get for 1 SB" trades in TC - they clutter up the Currency section of TC and TC in general.

I also feel they are a method of begging, as the trades are offering basically nothing in exchange for items.

I feel these should be reportable or even prevented if coding allows.

At this time, I would like to point out that for the next two weeks you all have an opportunity to say something that can make a difference regarding these trades in this topic made by the admins:

no problem!

also about the word filter... everyone phrases their trades differently. and it could start to block out genuine trades, like the folks offering actual substantial amounts of currency but who just so happened to title it "what can I get for [amount]?"

and yeah... the coding problem. love this site, but they struggle to implement in a timely manner. i think they feel pressure to pump out new shit every month and have less time to focus on what they've promised. so coding a filter solution just feels like a pain in the ass

I definitely agree, but from a rule-enforcing perspective, it'd create a gray area. Obviously "What can I get for 1 SB" is going to be outlawed, but what about other low value items that someone genuinely wants to trade for one of the same value (ex: one explore decor for another explore drop or low valued event shop item because the trade creator wanted to look at their options first)? What about newer or returning players who honestly don't know the value of their currency, thus unintentionally break this rule by simply trying to see what their small amount of SB can get them? Where would the lines be drawn between a joke trade and a serious one such as "What can I get for 500 SB?" or "What can I get for [insert brand new app that hasn't had time to settle into a stable value]?" The moderators are a team, and what one may deem a rule break, another may deem allowed due to the value being offered, creating an imbalance.

I do think something should be done, but I worry what it could lead to if handled incorrectly.

I think there is a marked difference between the 1sb stuff and other things like you mentioned. this is a pretty specific topic.

though i understand where a line will have to be drawn. i don't know if that's up for us to decide. if someone is unhappy with a mod's decision i think they can always leave a review and take it up with abbey, but ill say i have no experience with that

Okay first off, if it is against tos literally just report it and move on with your day. Just because i disagree does not mean I suck, Lmfao. There is no need to be so worked up over this, maybe next time, before you post anything; Take a deep breath and calm down.

from what i understand, it's less about you disagreeing, which is okay, and getting more or less worked up yourself and invalidating me and my friend's experience. and just telling people to "ignore it." which isn't helpful and again misses the point and waves off the concerns people have brought up.

it being against code of conduct was only brought up recently, but considering the mass amount of trades, i dont know if mods are doing anything. has anyone tried reporting them?

Please. They're a literal plague these days and they come off as mild begging (especially the "1 SB for hybrid lvl 873" type of trades). It's impossible to ignore them anymore unless I block 20+ players every day.
Proof trades aren't allowed as they're not a real offer, so I don't understand why this type of trades is not being punished in any way. Reporting them does nothing, TC is being flooded by junk trades.
Here's a preview of what comes up when you search for "1 SB" in TC:

This is not okay!

not to sound like an old man, but it makes me kinda grumpy that they're tryna bank on a bandwagon to get a high-value lion instead of working for it. like i said before, it being called a "challenge" makes me feel like im on social media with a bunch of children.

most of them probably wont get anywhere close to their goal anyhow. 1sb to a hybrid is a MASSIVE jump. they could start getting their hybrid way faster if they spent time getting this month's apps and sold them, but. yknow.

Hi guys!

Please remember to remain respectful to all members, regardless of the situation. Players are allowed to have differing opinions, and regardless of said opinions, you should always remain civil and respond in a respectful manner.

Thank you!

No support. As annoying as they are, I don't like the idea of setting a "trades must be worth X" amount, and it's such a specific thing to ban. In my opinion the right course of action would be to just block the people starting them.

Since I posted the other day, I kept seeing more and more each time I went to the Trading Center. So I started blocking them.
Let me say, l e o n was not joking about a bloated blocklist...

I really wish there was a partial block for something like this. I just don't want to see their trades, not cut them off completely. But it is what it is, I suppose.

Support. I've also seen other joke trades with high valued custom decor lions with being put on TC where the person has no intentions on selling, and according to their description for offers "it's a joke". I've blocked them, but it's annoying. Almost like clickbait. for lack of a better word.

I just don't want to block SO many people. You do realize how many people are doing this? It might be a super specific thing but it's kinda a very ... PREVALENT specific thing. It's everywhere. If I tried to block everyone my wrist would start hurting 😔

I with hold back from supporting or not at this point, but the fact it flooded 5 TC pages at one point shows where I stand. If it becomes out of hand, I agree it should maybe be disabled after a while, or should be moved to the FORUMS

EDIT: Of course, we will still have the TC with loads of these things, but that way they can track what they're doing, and do it *once* at a time, because I doubt anyone would want to keep track of 10 or more a one time.

Unfortunately it's just not possible, from a mod perspective.

Rules on a site need clean cut and clear definitions that can be comprehended with little leeway, and this has a lot of wiggle room. What quantifies as one of these trades? Where do you draw the line? "Offer on my 20,000sb!" has always been fine, and I'm sure you wouldn't say it's the same as the 1sb trade. But what about 1000sb? 500sb? 100?

What exactly is the line you mean to put here? If it's "you can't put 1sb trades", then people will do it for 2sb. 5sb, 10sb, whatever the minimum is, they'll just do that instead.

This also applies if you consider it spam. What is spam trades? is me putting up 30 different fodder cub trades for 10sb at once spam?

I know you can say "You can tell from looking at it if it's one of these", but when we have a big book o' rules we need them to be clearly defined for the players. "c'mon man we all know you're doing one of those" isn't a valid reason you can use when moderating.

I want to clarify I 100% support the idea and I do hate seeing so many of these trades. I really do. But I do want to be realistic too (:

Gotta agree with Limbless.
I'm actually doing one myself, but my purpose of doing it is to then giveaway the hybrid afterwards, so its not for my benefit but for the community's. I understand if they maybe advise not to create so many at one time, but they can't actually enforce it because our TC is basically a walking spam site.
