Nikos rolled over on her back, awoken once again by noise. Sniffing the air she noticed it was lions. Were they all moving here? The maned lioness made a low growling noise, uncaring if it sounded like a threat. Her tail swished around as she watched them, leaves falling off the tree she was on because of the sudden movement.

Nyota chuckled, feeling at ease, "I'm passing through, looking for a new pride or somewhere to stay, there's a ton of lions here, including some male-so I came here" she explained. She felt movement, and looked up, seeing the mane lioness fall down the tree, she cringed, but continued eating

“A male?” She hadn’t seen a male yet. That could be dangerous for the cubs. “Hopefully he’s just passing through. I’ve been here for several months now and haven’t ran into very many lions and now all of a sudden there are so many. It’s about time for me to move on.” She jumped as the lioness fell. She let out another low growl.

Its been quite awhile since Cobra had travled, he noticed he had come across a scent. Wait, no a familiar scent, those lionesses from the watering hole, awhile back. He had certainly tried improving his manners, yet still having some flaws. "Well, might as well find them." he said to himself.

Did all these lions know she had cubs? “That obvious I have cubs?” She was more on edge now. She shouldn’t have left them, but she couldn’t leave now and lead the other lions back to them.

Nyota sniffed again, "Well yeah, you smell of milk" she explained, it was much more faint now that the nursing lioness had blood and rhino bits on her, but still there. She noticed fear, "Hey-It's alright! I'm sure you have someone looking after them" she tried to calm down the lioness.

Cobra had finally reached the territory, strange.. much more scents to smell noe and- mmm rhino! He druled at the smel and headed towards it. Once he reached it, he stopped dead in his tracks and hid. This is way to risky. Worth the risk though right?

Location - Den | Company - Cubs


Nire nodded to the cub and used her pawn to push the flesh towards it. Eat up and make sure to chew. Can't have you all choking. It would be reaaaal embarrassing. She chuckled before turning to Lyra. Alright, just be careful. Watching Lyla take off to fill herself, she settled herself down near the cubs, watching them but keeping her ears on point and her nose to the wind.

She had stayed silent the entire time until she opened her jaws "You also give off the 'I'm a new mother and I'm scared for my cubs' attitude, and I've been here for a while. Since a few months ago, I've noticed the scent of cubs." Nikos gave them a bored expression. "Also, you weren't the stealthiest when it came to hiding the scent of your cubs. Any predator would've smelled you the moment you had them." Her words were harsh, yet she needed to inform the lioness this. After all, it wouldn't just be bad for them but also bad for her if other predators were to come.

He did not listen to Nire’s warning and instead was too excited and tried to eat it like he did the eggs: one big gulp… he started coughing and choked up a chunk. He looked at Nire sheepishly, “Sorry, *cough* I didn’t listen… *cough cough*” He smiled at her and took a bite, chewing this time.

“Well, we won’t be staying long. The dry season is about to hit and prey will be scares.” She broke off a small bone for the cubs with a little meat left on it so they could naw on it when she got home. Turning to Nikos, “So if you’ve been here so long, why haven’t you made yourself known until now?”

She grunted. "I'm not foolish, even I know not to mess with a new mother. Especially if they've got friends, I steered clear. The only reason I've made myself known was so that you'd avoid me." Nikos stared directly at the lioness. There was another reason but she'd rather keep that to herself.
