He yawned and stopped playing with the water, as he notice he was growing bored. He let out a yawn and ventured around the small watering hole, leaving his scent purpousely. He noticed a small cave and the scent of two? maybe 3 lionesses. He let out a roar to inform them he was present.

Nire rolled her eyes. She knew the type. Before she got to respond another roar could be heard and closer. Flicking her ears back she noticed the lion moving through the grass. Guess he tracked us down. She grumbled, noting that whatever wind there was was blowing right to him. Well, better to be found as a pair than alone and we don't have to worry about cubs. Looking back at Lyla she shrugged. It wasn't her place to invite the lion closer as she was just a guest and how they proceeded was up to the older lioness. I'll follow however you want this to go.

Pesky male lions. She looked to Nire, “I agree, better to be together if there’s a fight. He doesn’t seem very keen on leaving, so together?” She started to walk towards the entrance of the cave and looked back at Nire, “I know we just met, but safety in numbers.”

Nodding in agreement Nire stood and followed Lyla out towards the roaming male. She wasn't too concerned if he was alone. Lions were stronger but it was pretty easy for lionesses to out pace them. Males sure couldn't run long with all that fur. Continuing on alongside Lyla, Nire did not approach with quite as passive a posture as she did with the lioness earlier. Instead, more intense but non threatening. Well, aren't you a mess. She said as they got close enough to talk. Her head cocked, looking at all the detritus in his mane. Sniffing, her nose wrinkled, as he his appearance did not help with his first impressions.

"A mess?" he scoffed "Speak for yourself" he yawned, stretching as his claws dug into the dirt. "Your not as polite as the other lionesses ive come across" he said wrinkling his nose at her, mocking her

Nire raised an eyebrow. Apparently the male was both blind and stupid. First off, she took pride in herself with keeping clean and pest free. Second, any male worth his weight knew that first impressions was practically everything when greeting lionesses. Daft as a warthog this one was, and just as smelly. Though she shifted, her ears laying flat and her tail curled, playful yet hostile. Oh? She smiled, changing her tone as if she were cooing to a small cub. So where are these polite lionesses? Hmm? Not with you, hmm? She clownishly looked around before putting a paw to her muzzle and looking back at him with pity. What a terrible shame. She clicked her tongue, admonishing him before chuckling heartily. At him, of course. Running her tongue along her paw she slowly wiped her head before looking to Lyla. Not that I am the one you need to impress, roamer. Talk to my sister here since you were so keen to meet us that you followed us home. She looked back at the male briefly before looking away, ears still pinned with annoyance.

(I dunno, she is so sassy. Writing this gave me a good laugh)

“Sister? I’m n-“ she got it after she started to speak. “Yeah, what are you doing in our territory? Ever heard of respecting someone else’s space?” She began to circle the male. “You’re a funny looking thing. Walking in here thinking you’re hot stuff.”

"Im not intrested in having companions" he said, her fur raised as he was feling uneasy. "and why im here is no ones buiseness" he snarled. "lionessess grow terribly annoying, well most of them at least".

She snarled back at the male, “Then leave! We wouldn’t want you as a companion anyway being rude like that. This is our home.” This male would not take her home.

Weird. She glaced back at the lion. Why in the world would he call them over if he didn't want companions and that he was none of their business? His behavior was just so inconsistent. Called them over just to be haunty and indifferent? Was he trying the age old, but oh so tacky, 'hard to get' tactic to gain their attention.

It seemed like Lyla was just as unimpressed by the lions attitude. She couldn't say anything about the lions rudeness since she was rude first but Lyla didn't deserve the attitude she had got from him. As she had yet to do or say anything unreasonable to deserve it from the male. Which was mostly the reason Nire had backed off to begin with. She would be happy to bicker with the lion all day but it wasn't her place to rile him up more than she had.

"I was curious, no need to get feisty" he snarled back "And this territory isnt marked at all so no i dont think i will be leaving at all" he growled. He certainly was upset, but what with? he knew he was being rude first but he had no care. he flicked his tail.

Nire snarled, her tail flipping around conveying her ever growing agitation. He was just being obstinate now! ' Sister!' She growled. ' I swear I can dig you a better burrow. Let the roamer have the den! It isn't worth our time or effort to chase this mangy creature off.' It was true. Like she noted before the den was too low and stuffy. The first time a monsoon came along she would be drowned out if she didn't get sick first. Plus, it wasn't like it was well established.

Nire just about had enough of this lion. She stared at him coldly. ' I wouldn't be so pissed if you would start making sense.' She hissed. ' You haven't stated your intention to ease our concerns. You claim that you aren't going to leave but you say you don't want our den.' Her lips curled. ' You give us every sign that you are going to claim the area, but don't want company. So HOW pray tell are we supposed to feel when some random muddy roamer intends to, heaven forbid, share our home? I ,for one, don't feel like sleeping somewhere when there is a unknown variable just wandering about that could jump me at any time.'

(A journey would be fun and more open to drama than having an already established home. Hopefully more people join and we can get an actual pride going.)

"First off, Im not taking your den cause its rude, second im only here simply for the prey, third Im no threat, the pride im from forbids we hurt any lionesses, even if they started the conflict." he stated, he lowered his tail as he did not want to cause a problem he wouldnt be able to get out of. "Lets start over, Im Cobra, Im from a pride that lives in the Marshlands, I left simply to start my own pride" he tried to seem a bit more friendly then what he was coming off as.
