Rolling her eyes, Nikos barely spared the growling lioness a glance. "You don't control the conversation, and nor do you own it. Frankly anyone can join a conversation regardless if it's wanted or unwanted." Nikos growled lowly. "Plus, it's not my fault that I live up in a tree... Where I could hear all of you." She smirked at them.

Nyota didn't seem amused, "All I hear is entitlement. there's plenty of trees, not my fault you chose to live there" she growled, she left the last bits for the nursing lioness and got up, revealing her massive size. She licked her bloody lips, and made her way to the watering hole opposite of Nikos, cleaning her face, she stared at Nikos, as if waiting.

It is like you are built not to listen. Nire sighed giving Rory a look of disapproval. Stuffing his gob like a canid pup eating their mommies throw up. She bit her tongue though, not wanting to nag. Nagging often was responded with the opposite of whatever you wanted.

A cracking nearby caused Nire's ears to flip back to the sound. Turning slightly she watched the grass shuffle before a large, ugly bald head popped up from the foliage. They sure don't waste time. She said, watching the Marabou stork slowly walk through the grass a safe distance, for it and the cubs, away. They were some of the less annoying scavengers around, big but mostly harmless and much less bold compared to the smaller vulture species. That is a Marabou. They eat meat like us but usually just eat our scraps from hunts. Don't go near it though, you all are too small and their bites hurt. Nire taught, stretching out her front leg and grooming it after. She would chase it off if it started drawing in the vultures but it by itself wasn't much of an issue.

both cubs watch in awe, and Ronan playfully swiped in the direction of the bird, laughing. Vera laughed too, but didn't dare threaten it, looking too scary for her. They all felt safe around Auntie Nire, and ran over to her, they spotted their brother trying to eat the new food, and curious, they decided to try it too. They both seemed to try to take a turn biting it, but it hurt their little teeth

Nikos let out a loud snarl. "I chose to live here because it's the biggest tree. It's not my fault that a rhino died here and you decided it was an easy meal." She said sarcastically. She hopped over to one of the lower branches. "Call me entitled if you want, that doesn't negate the fact that I was here first. You went here and disturbed me." Her claws flexed.

Nyota got up, straightening her posture, "Well you decided to disturb US even though we weren't talking to you, so I guess we're even" she growled, "You probably should've left if you were smart enough to know the rhino carcass would attract attention" she gave a side eye to the now meatless rhino, only bones and scraps, before looking back

Her ears flattened, she was getting increasingly angry the more this lioness spoke. "Maybe it's because I also wanted an easy meal, maybe it's because I helped whatever creature killed that pile of scrap." While it was a half lie, she did know what killed the rhino. It wasn't the prettiest sight, it was just brutal.

Nyota smirked, knowing she was greatly angering the feline, "Too bad, I don't smell you on this, so who says it just belongs to you? Should've protected it if it was so special" she growled, pacing around her side of the watering hole

Cobra snuck to the rhino carcess and began to fill up on as much as he could as the lions argue. Delish.

Getting frustrated, Nikos jumped off the branch. Once her paws touched the dirt, she strutted towards the lioness, fangs bared. "Not like you would've done any better protecting it, considering multiple lions kept coming here." Nikos was running on pure unbridled rage at this point, the usually lazy and stoic lioness completely lost her cool. Her tail lashed, showing how annoyed she is, however she became angrier when she noticed the male.

While the two lionesses argued she padded off with her bone. She would loop around to get back to the cubs. Hopefully none of the lions followed her.

She made her way back to the den where she found the cubs munching on some scraps and Nire watching over them. She brushed her head agains Nire. “Thank you. But we may have to leave sooner rather than later. There are several lions in this land now. The rhino must have attracted them. Speaking of that, this was all I could grab, the rest is gone.” She dropped the bone and the cubs came running to naw on it.

He laughed again at Nire. “Sorry auntie!” He continued to eat when the bird showed up. “I could take it!” He lunged in the bird’s direction and jumped back when the bird moved slightly in his direction. It wasn’t even close to him!

He turned to see their mom padding back. “Mama! You’re back! Auntie Nire taught us about that stupid bird!”

the par ran over with their sibling, and noticed the bone. their first thought was to play with it, so Ronan jumped on it, attacking it as if it was something live. Vera proceeded to try and drag it.

The maned lioness was about to her chest, making Nyota laugh, "I admire your courage, but I simply don't care, actually, I don't know why you'd make such a big deal about it! She stepped abit closer, almost touching the lion. But her eyes trailed off somewhere, and Nyota looked around, seeing the male, and then slowly turned back to her, "so, are you going to protect your kill?" She said, amused

She growled at the laugh, but her ears flattened at the jab the lioness made. "I mean, it's just bones now anyway! It's useless at this point." Nikos wanted to fight the male just to make the lioness shut up, but that wouldn't have been smart of her. If she ran up to him blindly she could end up injured or worse, dead. She backed away from the other lioness.

Nyota just smiled, highly amused, "For a moment there I almost thought you were all tough, not just smart-mouthed." she trudged past her, flicking her tail in her face
