She was a little confused, she was in a tree too after all just in a different one. She nevertheless took it as an insult, letting out a loud snarl. The maned lioness glared at the male "You just assume the trees are for leopards because you've never been informed of lion prides living in trees." Nikos said the snark reply, her fangs bared. She made herself look bigger by fluffing up her mane.

Shadow turned her head to the lioness in a tree, and sent her a thankful look. Before she turned back to the male. "Not that I think you ever have tried, but it is SORT of hard to clim trees with a hurt hind leg." she snared. Then she softened her voice. "But who do I have the pleasure talking to?" Shadow tilted her head.

Nikos

She looked down, ears flicking. "Nikos, and you are?" She shifted to see the lions below better. Her eyes were still focused on the male, she would not let her guard down. Rogue males weren't the friendliest, they were usually very territorial.

He let out a low, annoyed snarl. “I’ll leave the trees to leopards and keep myself on the ground.” He started flicking his tail. Lionesses could be so annoying somethimes. He thought to himself. He started to saunter back to the water, “I’ll leave you two to this ‘friends making.’”

She rolled her eyes. Yelling out "You just proved what I assume of males!" Honestly, she was getting annoyed but glad that the male was finally leaving. Nikos could relax and without worrying about him being a problem, still she didn't like how he acted.

He huffed, “Not everyone is out to hurt of offend you believe it or not.” He turned back and padded off again. He could smell that these weren’t the ones with kids so they probably wouldn’t attack. Besides, they didn’t seem to know each other so teamwork would not be on their side.

He padded over to the water, took a few drinks and began to bask in the sun, paying the two no mind. It wasn’t worth a fight or even trying to explain that he wasn’t a threat. Obviously they wouldn’t change their mind about him. That didn’t matter though, he had no intentions of trying to form a pride, especially with these testy and jumpy lionesses.

Shadow sat down and started washing herself. She kept an eye on the male, but didn't do anything further. She knew how dangerous lions like him could be I wouldn't risk another scar, so instead she just sat there, but did not leave.

She grunted. She wanted to say more but the other lioness had beat her to it, at least the male left already. She yawned, moving further into her tree to sleep. Nikos hopes that the male wouldn't come back.

(Brining back Nyota cause i got bored)

Nyota trudged to the watering hole, a few lionesses here and a male lion drinking, a rhino carcass nearby. Nyota didn't see any of them as threats-besides them all seeming very annoyed, and walked over to the watering hole, crouching down and lapping the water. She then got up, and cautiously approached the carcass, devouring it, but still keeping an eye on the other lions.

The lionesses obviously didn’t want his company, but they themselves wouldn’t leave yet. He got up, grunting as he stood. He gave the lionesses another glance and then padded off past the trees and to a small cave. It was empty, but looked like some lion used to live there. This would be where he would rest for a bit.


Lyla | 3 years, 6 months | Bi | Mentions: Everyone

She padded out of the cave. “Nire, I’m going to make a trip down to the rhino carcass to see what I can scavenge. Would you stay with the cubs? I’ll be back soon. And if need be the cubs can come in a bit. They are also big enough to stay here alone for a little.” She looked to the cubs, “Follow Nire’s directions please. If she says stay, then stay.”

She sauntered off in the direction of the rhino. The scent of lions hit her nose instantly. Great… she thought. They would definitely have to move soon. There was too much activity close by. She made her way to the carcass and began to eat, she scent of the lions was very strong now.

One lion approached the carcass and began to eat. She let out a low growl, not as a treat, but to announce herself.

Nyota smelt another lioness, before the carcass moved. Nyota seemed surprised, almost afraid that it might've jumped back to life, before looking at the other side, seeing another lioness eating the carcass, "Hello?" She asked, slightly confused. She smelt of milk, so she immediately knew this was a nursing lioness. But Nyota wasn't going to leave, this was the only meal she had all day and she needed the energy to get by. The large lioness tilted her ears and lowered her eyes, trying to show she wasn't a threat

She wasn’t going to leave, she needed the food to feed the cubs. “This isn’t yours is it?” She asked a little sarcastically. “It’s just about gone and a lion your size would not be able to eat this all.”

Nyota shrugged, "Uh..Sorry, but I need the food too..You're just going to have to get something else or just share it with me, since I'm not leaving" she immediately went back to ravaging the carcass, not seemingly interested or caring about the nursing lioness.
