Ash flicked his ears in response and began to gently lick the blood and dirt off Aphrodite's wound.

"You seem like you would be a good Umelaphi back in my pride" Aphrodite said, looking at Clove. "You know a lot about herbs and where to find them, and how to use them."

Flicking her ears in confusion, Clove spat out the horsetail pulp, "Never heard of one of those before," she meowed before grabbing the second clump of horsetails and chewing them up.
"Our mother taught us, mostly Clove, about herbs and healing," he purred between licks, his eyes distant as he recalled the memories, "She taught us everything we know." Sniffing her arm, he decided the wound was clean enough and picked up the pulp Clove had finished with, he gently began to smear it over Aphrodite's wound.

Aphrodite winced at how the pulp stung a little, but made the cut feel better overall. "Thank you. You really didn't have to help me." she smiled. "And an Umelaphi is a healer."

"Of course we did!" Clove meowed determinedly after she spit out the rest of the horsetail onto her paw. She hopped over to Aphrodite, Ash taking a step back, and began to smear the rest of the pulp onto Aphrodite.
"We'll just have to wrap this with some leaves and you'll be good as new in no time," She purred, her tail curling happily.
Ash gently rested his tail on Clove, purring, "Ill go find some big leaves." He got up and trotted off in search of the large flat leaves Clove often used.

Sayha

The tiny cub waddled outside her mother’s den, looking around. It had been three moonfalls since she had seen her mother’s spotted fur. She peered around outside, her petite ears alert as she scanned the jungle for any noise. Sayha placed a paw on the mossy soil, quickly lifting it and shaking the soil off. She wasn’t too fond of the feeling of soil she would much prefer the rough texture of tree bark or the soft springy feeling of grass. Sayha hesitantly padded farther outside her den. Her pupils widened as she surveyed the thick, deep undergrowth. Sayha quickly bolted up a tree as she heard a rustle in the dark forest.

Ash padded through the forest, occasionally stopping to sniff a leaf or two. His tail curled over his back when he saw the large flat leaves Clove often used to cover wounds. He carefully broke off a few leaves when he heard movement. Dropping the leaves and going on high alert, he pricked his ears and scanned the forest in the direction of the sound. Sniffing the air, he caught a faint milky scent. Confused, he took a few steps forward, still searching the shadows for the source of the sound.

Sayha

Sayha perked her ears as she heard a soft grunt in the thick brush. She curled up on her branch, frozen in fear. The fur along her spine rose and her pupils dilated as she grew more worried. Her tiny belly rose and fell quickly as she spotted an orange striped figure stalking in the bushes. Sayha let out sharp squeaky hiss by accident and quickly shoved her body closer to the branch below her paws. Her tiny, needle-like claws dug in deeper to the bark and she stayed silent, not daring to even breathe now.

Hearing a hiss and more movement, Ash crouched down, his claws sliding out and a low growl rising in this throat. He still searched the forest floor, before another whiff of the slightly milky scent drifted down to him. Confusion cutting off his growl, he looked up, eyes scanning through the thick foliage. Then he saw it, a small spotted cubs paw, tiny claws clinging to a branch. His claws slid back in, and his body relaxed. He silently padded to the tree, quickly climbed up to the same branch and crouched a few tail-lengths behind the cub.

She saunters into a clearing. Forest life isn’t so bad. she thought to herself. Her home, or rather old home, was far away from these lands. She needed a restart on her life after a new king took over her land.
The crisp air hit her nose and the scent of other animals lingered in the air, some lion, but some she had never smelled before. Maybe this was a good thing? She padded into the center of the small clearing and let the sun hit her fur. The warmth engulfed her and she felt at peace.

Sayha

The small jaguar peeled back her lips, hissing. She fluffed up her fur trying to seem as fierce as possible. “Go away! My mom is gonna beat you up if you come closer!” she squeaked, shivering in fear. Sayha almost hoped the large striped beast would threaten her, maybe her mother would come back to protect her if so!

Trying his best to see non-threatening, Ash looked at the cub. He noticed it looked like she had not eaten in a few days, and she seemed quite young to be out alone. He looked back at the ground, and scanned the forest once more. He realized he had not scented any other cats nearby. Glancing back to the cub, his heart saddened at the realization.
"Where is your mother? I can help take you back to her," he offered softly, ignoring her feigned hostility.

Sayha

She blinked in confusion, her muscles slightly relaxing as she realized this feline was no threat. Sayha looked around at the felids question. She perked her ears, and sniffed the air. She scanned the lush grasses and thick bushes. Her heart skipped a beat as she heard a rustle, maybe her mother? No. Just a bird taking off. Sayha met the larger cats eyes and shrugged. “I don’t know..” she murmured quietly.

Letting out a breathe, Ash nodded at the young cat. He looked away from her, staring at nothing in particular as he thought. Then he turned back and said, "Well, I have a sister and a friend waiting for me. You can come with me, we can feed you and then later help you look for your mother?"

Aphrodite's ears perked. "What was that?" She limped over to where she saw Ash disappear to look for leaves. "Ash? Everything ok?"
