She kept low to the ground, she's been avoiding most of the animals for a little but she decided to check out a few that were stalking a little close to her den, more than she was comfortable with. Her breaths were slow as she slowly moved through the bushes, she didn't see the stick as she heard a loud crack rining through the forest as her paw snapped the twig. She flinched and crouched even more.

Aphrodite heard a loud CRACK behind her. She whirled around and hissed. She felt vulnerable with the wound healing now. "Who's there?" She growled.

She sighed and slowly rose up from the ground. "Just me." She mumbled while walking closer to the larger animal. She shook her pelt clean of leaves and sticks before sitting down and licking her paw.

Aphrodite looked at Star curiously. "Sorry, I've been kinda jumpy lately." She showed her her wound.

She sighed as she glanced at the wound. "Yea, a lot of animals have." She stood up revealing a long scar running down her back right flank.

She padded deeper into the forest, the scents of animals growing stronger. She heard some voices and decided to investigate. Hopefully they were friendly. “Hello?” she chuffed in the direction of the voices.

Lyla sat and tilted her head. She’d never seen an animal like this. There were wild dogs where she was from, but none that looked like this one. “I’m Lyla. Am I intruding on your home?” She didn’t want to intimidate this other animal.

Aphrodite looked at the tree line. "Uh... I might be able to find the zebra I hunted earlier?" She checked her wound. Still not great. She wouldn't be able to hunt.

Hearing Aphrodite call out, Ash turned to look in the direction of the small den area. Flicking his ears as he listened, he heard some bit of commotion, panic rising in his chest, he turned to the small cub.
"Well, no time to think, you're coming with me," he reached over, picking up the cub and swiftly jumping down the tree onto the soft forest floor. He raced towards Clove and Aphrodite.

Clove, hearing the crack and seeing Aphrodite on the defense, flattened her ears and backed up closer to the den to be out of sight. She listened to Aphrodite talk to some other kind of creature she'd never scented before. Her heart raced as she crouched in the mouth of the den, trying to hide in the shadows, and she began to lose the words spoken between the animals to the sound of her blood rushing through her ears. When the lion came into view, she shot a glance towards Aphrodite and her wound, anxiety making her the fur along her spine rise. She scanned the forest, begging to the sun and stars that Ash would be back soon.

Crashing into the small clearing where Aphrodite's den was and upon seeing 2 new stranger animals, Ash's claws instinctively slid out. He set the spotted cub down between his front legs, standing over her protectively, and let out a growl. His eyes jumped from the lion, to Aphrodite, to the fluffy grey animal. His eyes widened in panic when he didn't see Clove with Aphrodite.
"Who are you?" He growled, looking between the lion and grey animal.

She smiled at Aphrodite, “I appreciate the offer-” she glanced at the now revealed wound. “Oh goodness! What happened?” Wounds big enough could cripple an animal and here she was offering her kill. “I’ll be alright skipping a meal or two.”

She heard another voice now and turned, meeting the other animal’s eyes. “I’m Lyla. Just traveling through. I mean you no harm.” She tried to sound kind and not like she was scared… which she was. He had snuck up on them so quickly x she needed to pay more attention to her surroundings.

Aphrodite turned. "Ash! There you- um... who-who's cub is that?" She stepped a little closer and sniffed the cub. "She's cute!"
