Hello, I'm going to lock the following threads and compress it all into here: ETI prize adjustment ETI Voting Overhaul Adjusting reward system for equip to impress Equip to impress suggestions ETI Comment Disclaimer ETI Comments ETI Adjustments Handling bad faith entries in Equip to Impress This thread will be left open: More Categories for ETI! The purpose of this thread is to gather feedback and suggested adjustments for the Equip to Impress game we released on Friday. Some confirmed changes we have made and are currently in the process of testing: * Anonymous voting * Splitting entries into 'batches' or groups so that there's less overall to vote for, and more prizes to be won. Voting shouldn't take as long as it does currently Some changes we are looking into: * Ability to remove troll/no effort submissions * Rebalancing of the rewards Interested in all thoughts/suggestions for anything else relating to the game, but specifically: - How to rebalance the rewards - Overall gameplay improvements Please remember to give constructive feedback! |

Entry times should be increased. I'd personally like to see a minimum of 2 hours, but would prefer 3. Reason being, not everyone's gunna get to these right as the timer starts, and for those of us who want to put more effort in, we're forced to crunch, camp the timer or not participate. 7 players like this post! I think the biggest problem with ETI right now is the difficulty of voting. Why is only one design shown at a time? Most contests have 100-200 entries. We need to click 100-200 times to vote for everyone? If it's possible, having it like a social media feed where we can just scroll and vote. (If that's too difficult to do with the current 0-5 star voting system, maybe just one up vote button?) 12 players like this post! Like? |

It would be a good idea if we could name our entries. It would make it easier for people to see what the design is based on, such as the Disney World and Halloween themes. It would also just be a little thing to add that adds to the fun of the game 13 players like this post! Like? |

I know some other thread has mentioned this, but I don't think the 5 star voting method and 3 tier podium works. With so many entries at once, it would be easier to do "match ups" and have the player pick their favorite between two (or more) designs, halving the voting time. Plus, the low rate at which we gain currency makes it feel almost useless. Over the last two days, I spent 6 hours between voting, and participating, for a whopping 3 gems. I'd love to see how this game turns out when the changes are implemented! I know I am not the best at solving these problems, but I hope that the suggestions help. This game is really fun and I like the addition to the games section. 17 players like this post! Like? |

Perhaps cap the number of entries? And then shorten the creation/voting times? This way, it could become sort of a speed challenge and people wouldn't have to vote on as many people. 4 players like this post! Like? |

Someone mentioned the 5 star system wasn't great, and instead being shown 2 or 3 entries and picking your favorite. A number of submissions are just all getting 1 stars, so the disengenuous voting is a bit rough. Maybe show 5 at a time, pick two you like? idk, spitballing here 4 players like this post! Like? |

Not sure if this is what "anonymous voting" means, but I'd like to be able to vote when I haven't entered the contest myself. Voting is fun! Admin Response: Anonymous voting specifically here means not being able to see who submitted the entry. :o 2 players like this post! Like? |

I'm glad that voting is being anonymized; I was worried that popular players would have an advantage. Besides the obvious bug squishing, that's all that I personally want. 4 players like this post! Like? |

"Some changes we are looking into: * Ability to remove troll/no effort submissions" 1. But this is a funny competition, I don't think that any thing can be considered as "troll" here. Ability to remove inappropriate content should be instead of it. 2. Different people have different tastes. You don't like the submission and it's ok, but it doesn't mean that was submission with no effort. For example, the theme was "lions". I made handsome king with natural look and matching markings. Because theme was "lions", so I decided it was about realistic lions the feedback I got was "cheugy", "middle", "you tried" and so on. 3. Give 5* to the work that fits theme, give 1* to work that doesn't fit the theme or one you just don't like. It's enough. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't mind the theme changing hourly; if you miss one, you just participate in the next one, so there's not much waiting required. And imo the fact you have to sometimes kind of work fast (if you start your design late) is part of the challenge. My only issue with it is that it makes participating and voting difficult, but it seems like voting is gonna be streamlined, so that helps immensely. Regarding the streamlining: I really like the idea some users have had to make it so each time you vote, it's between two designs. That way the voter can select which one fits the theme better, and entries get their ranking that way. Ranked choice of some sort could work, too, I think. Having it so it's not a 5-star rating system (and having the game not have to load one design every vote, slowing things down unnecessarily) would be an improvement no matter how it's done, though. Other than that, I mainly just want the bugs ironed out! It makes me sad when I submit a design where the mane's an important part of it just for the game to not register the mane (or worse—the whole lion) at all. Having to go back to the drawing board because of bugs like that is a bummer and very frustrating. 3 players like this post! Like? |

ETI is heavily focused on decor most of the time, but that also means it's often going to be a waste of time to add markings to the lion etc if the decor is what matters. My suggestion is that there could be 2 separate games and they alternated: 1 for decor and 1 for appearance. (It's a possible coding nightmare I'm sure but what if there even is a special copy of the wardrobe that has markings/etc disabled for the decor game and decor disabled for the appearance game? Just a thought.) This suggestion allows people with different wardrobe strengths get the opportunity to shine. Without some change or reason to keep it fresh I see ETI growing stale with the themes and same decor repeating over and over. 3 players like this post! Like? |

+ probably a new suggestion Wardrobe link under each winner's works. If people like this work, they probably want to try decor on their lions or play with appearance or just to know what was the name of used decorations/background 10 players like this post! Like? |

Some good suggestions I saw that I want to bring here! 1. Get rid of the fake “comments” on designs, they’re confusing and hurtful and not funny at best. 2. Making the voting system different, changing it to a system in which you might be given two or more designs at once and you choose which one you like better. This makes it a bit more like a little tournament, and gets rid of the issue of people just giving one star to boost their chances of being at the top of the ranks. 3. Adding a “report” button, where you can report troll/effortless designs. If enough people report the same design for that reason, the offender shouldn’t receive any glam garnets in reward. 4. Adding a counter to show how many lions you have left to vote for. 9 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/12/24 @ 08:59:16 by Chaos!! (Gift-backing!) (#456574) |

I support getting rid of the comments; I went back to look at one of my designs that I had worked pretty hard on, but didn't land well in the competitions, and all the comments were bad. Fake or not, it still doesn't feel good and none of them were funny. 13 players like this post! Like? |
