Hello, I'm going to lock the following threads and compress it all into here:

ETI prize adjustment
ETI Voting Overhaul
Adjusting reward system for equip to impress
Equip to impress suggestions
ETI Comment Disclaimer
ETI Comments
ETI Adjustments
Handling bad faith entries in Equip to Impress

This thread will be left open:
More Categories for ETI!

The purpose of this thread is to gather feedback and suggested adjustments for the Equip to Impress game we released on Friday.

Some confirmed changes we have made and are currently in the process of testing:
* Anonymous voting
* Splitting entries into 'batches' or groups so that there's less overall to vote for, and more prizes to be won. Voting shouldn't take as long as it does currently

Some changes we are looking into:
* Ability to remove troll/no effort submissions
* Rebalancing of the rewards

Interested in all thoughts/suggestions for anything else relating to the game, but specifically:
- How to rebalance the rewards
- Overall gameplay improvements

Please remember to give constructive feedback!

This suggestion has 103 supports and 0 NO supports.

I think there would be a lot of things to consider when deeming an entry "low effort" the themes aren't entirely clear on what they mean take rebel and wrapped for example. Those two can be portrayed in a number of was such as a lion covered in rope like decor to symbols being wrapped in something. Or for rebel a lion decorated to look like a hyena to symbols this lion doesn't follow the standard law of nature deeming lions and hyenas as enemies making it a rebel in a sense. Now the entirely blank default lions being submitted are another story but I just say vote one star and move along it's just a game. I really love this new mini game I just think it needs a bit of touching up

This is a bit of a silly ask... but any chance that the Equip to Impress game could be moved to either the top or the bottom of the games list, not smack dab in the middle?

i think games are ordered alphabetically, which is why ETI is slotted in the middle

New bug I’ve found: I currently can’t vote on designs, or even see them, EVEN when I entered the contest. Not sure how to fix it (I’ve refreshed the page and even left the site for nearly an hour incase it was user error). I am assuming this is a bigger bug, since only 10 votes have been cast for this round.

Really, really disliked the comments feature. I didn't know they were automated at first, and it's incredibly discouraging to put effort into something and get a response that's so rude. I did the one entry and didn't want to play again at all because I thought actual real life people were responding with insults.

I've seen some people wanting real commenting capabilities, but considering what I've seen in actual DTI, I don't have the highest confidence in people being kind, so I say just get rid of the comments entirely.

personally I’d love comments, I would never say hurtful things toward people’s attempts to impress but that’s just me yet others might and if you can’t handle it then maybe don’t play because at the end of the day it’s just a game and everyone has their own opinions

I think people have the right to feel upset if they receive a negative comment on their design and shouldn't stop playing because the words of others. This game is about the silliness of lion dress-up and those who love to create! While I agree that commenting seems fun and a good way for lioden members to compliment and make friends, I can also see how they can end up hurting someone if something negative or passive-aggressive is said.

Just because it is a game, it doesn't mean that it won't hurt the person behind the screen. People work hard on their designs, and getting hit with something like "That sure is an outfit." just isn't something you want to hear when trying to have fun.

I'm sure there are alternative ways to keep comments while also maintaining respect in the community. No one should feel so hurt that they stop playing the game entirely.

Re: comments

A way to flag insulting/passive aggressive/harmful comments received, similar to how one can do so on their den page (should they have commenting on ther) and in the chat box. This would hold individuals accountable for harmful comments. I know it would probably be more work to mods, but I’d assume that individuals would only flag if it was actually harmful, rather than non-harmful/playful comments

Not sure if it's been suggested so far, but allow the use of transluscent jellyfish and custom decor! They're available in the wardrobe, so surely allow them to be used on ETI designs.

I assume this suggestion must have been mentioned sonewhere, or maybe it just a planned feature, but I thought I'd mention it just in case c:

I noticed some of the lions don't appear when in the voting. I've seen several over the last few days since the new game went up. I am not sure if it has been brought to attention or not. I thought I should say something. The decor shows up mostly. But there just isn't any Lion.

I think it'd be cool if the glam shop functioned a bit like the flood pit and had items available to buy on different days rather than everything being available at once if that makes sense (I absolutely suck at explaining things, sorry lol). It might be a lot of work though so this might be a terrible idea I don't know

Make it so u can FULLY customize the lions, so adding lethals and stuff like that cause people who own them have a one up in the contest for certain designs cause of it. So make it avaliable to all

I'd like to ask that if a method of removing low effort/troll entries is implemented that it please be done after major bugs affecting peoples' entries are fixed!

I bring this up in particular because I've been experiencing a bug causing all entries from both my accounts to submit completely blank (and have had a few other players confirm they have the same thing), and they show up as blank to other players in voting. I really dislike the idea of someone else experiencing this bug, and then being punished because other players saw the blank submission and assumed it was a low effort/troll entry done on purpose.

even if the only consequence is that you don't get any GG, that still would mean that somebody that genuinely did try would be robbed of their at least 1 guaranteed GG they should have earned were it not for a bug.

I've seen a few people calling for longer times but I disagree. Part of the challenge of a competition like this is the fact that there is a limited amount of time. One hour is already generous, extending that will force the game to run much slower and make it more difficult to actively engage (as you will have to wait a significantly longer time between submissions/voting).

I've podiumed on multiple occasions with designs put together in under twenty minutes. It's not just a competition of decorating, it's also a test of how well you can craft a decent submission while thinking on the fly. This is an incredibly common aspect of the game for these types of things. There are still plenty of decorating and designing contests in Chatter for those who want a more leisurely experience.

Re: comments

I think it's almost universally agreed that the fake comments should go, as they're weirdly mean and discouraging. Personally I think they should either be reworked to be more positive or they should be removed altogether.

However, I am very interested by the conversation above about the possibility of implementing a real commenting system. This feels like there could be issues with REAL people being mean, and could also be a lot of work. If you want to split the difference between no commenting and free commenting, perhaps there could be a few generic responses or emoticons that could be used to comment in a sort of reaction system? I could certainly see myself wanting to "react" to a submission with a or a . Still a lot of work, but could be worth considering.
