Hello, I'm going to lock the following threads and compress it all into here: ETI prize adjustment ETI Voting Overhaul Adjusting reward system for equip to impress Equip to impress suggestions ETI Comment Disclaimer ETI Comments ETI Adjustments Handling bad faith entries in Equip to Impress This thread will be left open: More Categories for ETI! The purpose of this thread is to gather feedback and suggested adjustments for the Equip to Impress game we released on Friday. Some confirmed changes we have made and are currently in the process of testing: * Anonymous voting * Splitting entries into 'batches' or groups so that there's less overall to vote for, and more prizes to be won. Voting shouldn't take as long as it does currently Some changes we are looking into: * Ability to remove troll/no effort submissions * Rebalancing of the rewards Interested in all thoughts/suggestions for anything else relating to the game, but specifically: - How to rebalance the rewards - Overall gameplay improvements Please remember to give constructive feedback! |

i feel like another issue is the lack of voting and lack of incentive to vote. for example, last night i placed 10th with 56 stars. places 1-3 had 59, 58, and 57 respectively. it's weird i was one star away from 3rd and yet placed 10th, this kind of implies people likely also "tied" for 3rd but didn't get the rewards. there's two issues here: - ties only reward one person, which is rough - there was very little voting this round in general, and while it was around RO and therefore a more inactive time, i have noticed voting decreasing overtime. my suggestions to help: - reward ties evenly, even if only one person is placed on the podium i'd hope that the other ties were compensated as if they won 3rd/2nd/whatever. if there was at least percentile rewards, someone tying for 3rd place would still make it into the next best percentile and win more than just 1 token, so percentile rewards would kind of fix this issue but still not entirely resolve it imo. - possibly rewarding a glam token for a certain amount of votes? like 25 or something? just something to encourage voting so it doesn't feel like i wasted 20 minutes. for those concerned this would result in people just spamming one stars, people already do that. how do you think spikes first place winner has default background and improper layering resulting in decor clipping through each other? 3 players like this post! I like the idea of earning a bit of sb for voting, but not something really high. It WOULD reward activity, but I can see why devs wouldn't wanna give people an option to maybe make 600-900 sb/hour (if it were to be 3 sb like a suggestion said per vote and there were 200-300 entries) as that is almost 1gb just for sitting there and clicking. Even 1sb per vote seems too high when compared to the amount of sb you earn in other lioden minigames. Earning about 200-300 per HOUR seems a bit game breaking, but I'm thinking it could be a fixed number that you only earn if you voted for ALL entries in a theme. Like a 100sb reward if you voted for everyone this round. And also, there could be a daily cap to how much you can earn from voting. I do believe that rewards for voting *shouldn't* be gems ! 2 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/12/24 @ 14:26:41 by Umireef (#42691) |

I am all for removing the troll comments. They hurt if you don't know they're from bots, I know a bunch of people including me that this had happened to. 4 players like this post! Like? |

maybe the ability to add a short description/name with your design to make it clearer what you made? Example: Theme is Rebel, but you want to do a rebel from specific franchises (Jinx, Katniss Everdeen, etc.) It allows for more creativity in designs without it being seen as something completely off-topic. This isn't to excuse low-effort/off-theme designs, more like a caption to an image. 3 players like this post! Like? |

^ Not against this and wouldn't mind if it was added, but I could also see it quickly becoming a 'funniest caption' contest or a ton of people captioning their entries with 'vote pls' or something (which isn't really a bad thing, just a thought) 4 players like this post! Like? |

I think the only issue I have with removing troll/low effort submissions is defining what a troll/low effort submission would even look like. Personally, I think it's perfectly fine if someone doesn't want to go all out with a 20 marking lion or 20 different decors, or someone who feels they are bad at designing, and enters a more simple submission to slowly grind out currency over time. Plus, some of the prompts do seem like they can be open to quite a bit of interpretation, who is to say what looks low effort isn't actually matching the theme just in a way that is unexpected? I'd just hate for someone (like me, ha) who does not feel they are good at designing things in the wardrobe, to have their relatively simple in comparison entry rejected for being "low effort" when maybe they DID put some thought into the whole thing in the first place, it's just not up to the same standard as some of the absolute wardrobe wizards we have on site. :) Plus, I think the voting and reward re-balance changes would help the more effortful or obviously on theme entries rise to the top and earn the larger rewards. 9 players like this post! At the moment I feel like there's an incentive to not cast many votes. Ashamed to admit that I found myself thinking "If I cast more votes, that's more stars for my opponents." Perhaps there could be some form of multiplier or something if a certain amount of votes are cast? Or maybe entries could be scored by their average instead of total stars? I support getting rid of comments too. Some of you people are mean :( 3 players like this post! Like? |

My biggest issue currently is the voting system. I've been playing dress up games for years, and while DTI is fun and all it's also notorious for it's easy to rig voting system. It's fairly common for everyone to vote everything one star in order to make their entry look better. That's why I think implementing a new voting system would really help people put more effort into their entries, and make things feel more fair. I think a system where you vote for the best one or two out of group would be much more rewarding. It would take less time to get through all the entries, and if needed the entry time can be stretched from one hour to two or three to accommodate any changes. Maybe even throw in a small reward for voting a lot as well. Overall, I really like the game and I'm so happy you guys added this to lioden. I know change may take a lot of work and effort, but i do think you'll see a lot more engagement with a new voting system. 2 players like this post! Like? |

@☁Rain☁ (#284837) I agree 100%! Definitely if captions are added, there should at least be restrictions to avoid off-topic/offensive things, which is also why I think it should be limited to a certain amount of characters/words @Msasi but Christmas-y (#21461) maybe there could be a general minimum criteria for a submission? No clue how to go about it, but it would help give people an idea on something simple to do 0 players like this post! Like? |

@elriq (#138907) The comments are auto generated, not real comments, but it still doesn't feel good for someone that doesn't know it. I agree with Msasi but Christmas-y (#21461), in the theme grey (you can see it from the previous ones in eti), the top three winners had just submitted a version of the OG lion that pops up when you open wardrobe. That would definitely cause some controversy if it were classified as "low effort" because it fits the theme perfectly. One of the threads linked has a suggestion to say that we briefly explain our entries, and I somewhat agree with it. It'd show the reason for the "low effort" we put in. My only problems are that people might get lazy to give an explanation. This is where the "broken image" or "blank lion" suggestion would come in, whereas if someone is still trolling and put gibberish or just anything into the explanation part, we could report it and if it gets too many reports it'll be removed from the entries. 1 player likes this post! In my opinion, until the 5 star voting system is replaced with something that encourages honest voting, the game is broken. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

For ETI I think there should be designs relating to the month's event/holidays etc. I also think there should be more designs suggestions in general. Like here some ideas: Cheerleader, demon, gala, investigator, zookeeper etc. 2 players like this post! Like? |

change the comments system. i know they're autogenerated, but that really doesn't come across as clear as it should. either make that clearer (and, frankly, make them less rude), or let users comment and moderate those. 6 players like this post! Like? |

I may be the controversial opinion here, but i really don't think troll / low effort posts are a big deal. It's a silly side game with silly rewards. Especially with the current voting system and reward payout, why in the world would I want to spend half an hour finding the perfect decors and markings when I'm fighting against 600 other people for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd? It's not like I'm getting breeding items; the News Post literally states "This shop will have very fancy shmancy or absurd decors we normally wouldn't add into the game." It's already a joke, so why take it so seriously? If you go to the critical extreme and say someone submitted a troll post every single hour without missing one, it would still take 6 days and 6 hours to get enough glam garnets for a marking app. Oh no! If you don't like the submission, vote 1 star and move on. If we move to an either / or system, vote the other one. It's not game breaking, and it's really not that big a deal. Yeah, it sucks to work on a design you really like and not place on the leaderboards, but that's going to happen whether there are troll designs or not. Best we can do is just join the next round and vote the trolls low. Either way, i really don't think there's an issue to letting them be at this point in time. I don't mind people being able to get some chump change for a silly decor they like. ETA: I also personally think its a bad idea to go through with this when the game is bugged and removing backgrounds, manes, decors, whole lions, etc. 4 players like this post! Like?
