Nomads Of The Horizon
A wolf roleplay

The Rules

I. All LioDen Roleplay Rules apply.

II. No godmodding, powerplaying, gary/mary issues, etc.

III. Posts should be in third-person and past-tense, and players are expected to use correct spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation to the best of their abilities. At least a paragraph is required.

IV. We know that life can get in the way sometimes, but please, if you know beforehand that you won't be able to post for a while, let us all know!

V. Fade to black when necessary. I suppose you all get it by now.

VI. Please be polite to everyone OOC. If there is any problem with other members of the roleplay, i would like you to let me or moderators know rather than creating something unnecessary.

VII. You cannot harm or kill another character without making the action an attempt.

VIII. For the most part we are a realistic wolf roleplay; the only fantasy elements should be the characters’ “humanized” personalities and their ability to speak. This means no magical abilities, accessories, or unnatural physical traits (wings, horns, etc).

IX. We encourage you to 'follow the current'; Not knowing what will happen makes the roleplay more interesting and fun, reason why we attempt to avoid OOC plotting. "Character A should meet Character B" is acceptable. "Character A and character B should become mates and start a pack" is not.

X. There will be no formed packs at the beginning. These will be created throughout the roleplay, and to do so, a minimum of five wolves with a common goal assemble and claim a land as their territory. In order for the pack to be accepted, the player of the lead wolf should PM me to receive the pack creation form, and send it back will all the information needed. As for now, we believe that three packs would be a good maximum, though this can change in the future depending on how many members join. Also, please don't create packs right away. Your wolf should take their time to know who their pack-mates will be, to say the least.

XI. New Rule. Things made by man, such as buildings, roads, etc., are non-existent in the lands of Greylea, and there will be no interaction between wolves and humans. Please ignore any constructions that the references show.

XI. New Rule. Please put at the beginning of each post a 'header'. This is used to avoid confussion and to have a more organized post. Stating who your character is interacting with and their location is extremely important, also for the mentioned reasons. An example:

Name | Gender | Age | Location:

Gaya | Female | 2 years, 1 month | Loner
Location: Southern Woodlands | Mentions: Hades, Kairos, Lillith

Gaya whipped around and snarled at the new female. She had an arrogant, snobbish auro of hers, and Gaya didn't like it one bit. How smart of you Gaya snapped icily. You've figured out we all want to eat. Gaya backed away a bit, as to have all three wolves in her line of vision. She cleared the delicious smell away from her head, and focused on them. She wasn't so worried about the second male, however, the first looked downright aggressive and the female was a nuisance. She lashed her tail, trying to hide her worry. If they were to gang up, she'd end up as their next meal.

Gaya decided to cool herself down and think tactically. If she showed she wasn't so scared, she could perhaps gain more confidence. She straightened herself and sniffed angrily. Have you come to steal food, or were you sent to add a little darkness to someone's life? She asked, flicking her tail.

Kairos | Southern Woodlands | Loner | Ment: Hades / Gaya / Lillith

This was already going south: there were two other wolves making themselves known, and Kairos' chance of getting something was rapidly plummeting. Everything looked disorganized, and by what the two wolves that were not the one that took down the deer were saying, somehow he stumbled into an intersection of loners.

How many lone wolves were even in this damn place? It never was a good sign, either. In combat, he was screwed. Small did not bode well for him, and even running away would be a hassle. Kairos had to put his plans to a screeching halt, starting to back away. His life wasn't worth a meal; there were still small rodents he could probably try to catch, or come back here in the dark when the rest left.

Luma//Southern Woodlands//Loner//Mentioned:Hades-Gaya-Lillith-Kairos

Luma woke in a patch of lavender. She opened her eyes, and lifted her head from her paws.Luma looked around, sniffing the air.She stood, and padded to a nearby creek.Luma lapped up some water, and sniffed at a breeze. The faintest smell of deer, and other wolves could be caught.Luma heard faint shouts in the distance too. From what she could tell,it was upstream. She trotted up stream, and soon she saw the commotion. There were four wolves all fighting for the same deer.Luma stood back and watched the fight begin. One of the two females was provoking the other. The largest wolf,a male, looked like he was slightly hurt. The other two wolves stood and stared hard at the large male. From what Luma could tell, the largest wolf killed the deer, and others caught the scent. They all came to grab a bite, and now a stand off is happening.Luma slowly and almost silently got on her belly, and hid behind some tall grass to watch the situation play out.She secretly hoped to grab a small bite.

Lilith l Southern Woodlands l Mentions: Hades, Gaya, Kairos

A sort of amused snort slipped from the female as she watched the other female slither back and eye everyone. Her ears flickered lightly atop her head as she listened to the femalr speak only to roll her eyes. Really. Steal food? From the shape she was in, she didnt need food handouts or need to steal. I don't need to steal anything when the food is mine in the first place, bitch. The she wolf snarled with refined ease and grace as she glared down at the other female before briefly turning her attention away from the two outsiders to give her mate a lick to his ear. (This is what I was talking about Lego chan xD)

Zeriko‡Male‡Loner‡3yrs 5 Months‡ Location: Eastern Plains‡ Mentions: Sparrow‡ Status: Weak, dehydration, unfed

Its been two months since the murder of his mate Reira, and three of his pups who were killed along side her by Zeriko's younger brother Savage. As for two of his surving pups, they left with Hera, who took them in, for fear Zeriko may lose it one day. As the sun hit his golden eyes, it was filled with sorrow and as the image of Savange lurks within his mind, which doesnt wish to leave him alone.
********
Zeriko's pawpads were filled with cuts and scars which were caused by the jagged edges of the stones. His brawny figure, visable under his flamed colored fur and with his broad features, he looks like a very well fed wolf, but really, he is thin, for it has been weeks since he was feeding only on small prey, which scampered around the stone ground and drank any small puddles he could find.

Im going through a pile of hell He stated with a growl, his dry, sore throat stinging with amense pain.

Zeriko studied the landscape, picking up any scents of anything nearby. The place was completely isolated. Where in the dim world am I? How did I ended up here out of all places? Many questions piled in his head which didnt have any answers. As he walked, he kept his nose in the air, picking up any scents that were nearby. A breeze carried a scent towards him which left him with deep shock. It was, no doubt, the scent of another wolf, a she-wolf who isnt so far away. He followed the scent, inquistive to know where it might lead him towards. Zeriko picked up his pace, cautious to not loose his balance and stumble on the ground and stab his head with the knife-shaped edges of the stones, excitement taking over his gloomy mood.

Once he was near the location, he made sure to not scare the she-wolf or look like a threat. Ears flatten against his skull and tail tucked between his legs, he looked at the fae, his golden orbs narrowed at her. “May I?” He drank the water, his body and his soreness relaxing and loosing itself out.
Finally....

Varda | Female | 3 years, 6 months | Loner
Location: Southern Woodlands
Mentions:
Hades, Gaya, Lillith, Kairos, Luma

The air was crisp and full with scents, a light wind was blowing making the dry leaves rustle ever so quiet. They were just beginning to turn red, soon the whole forest would be painted in reds and golds.

Varda bounded through the forest, strides long and powerful, her breath rapid. She wasn't worried about being quiet but she had to move fast. There were other wolves near by, judging from the smell they were many, probably a pack and Varda was in no condition to encounter one. She hadn't eaten since yesterday morning because she had been so worried about the pack and wanted to move out of their territory quickly.

Varda shortened her strides and slowed to a halt, her ears twitched from side to side picking up the sound of wolves snarling. Probably a loner had been unfortunate enough to get caught hunting on their territory. Very likely they would be too busy tearing up the loner, so she would go unnoticed. An evil grin spread across her face, she hadn't thought that she would get away without a fight.

The thought to go help didn't even cross Varda's mind as she lowered her body into a crouch and began to creep away from the sounds of the wolves.

Bee | Female | 2 years, 3 months | Loner
Location: Southern Woodlands
Mentions:
Hades, Gaya, Lillith, Kairos, Luma

The air was crisp and full with scents, a light wind was blowing making the dry leaves rustle ever so quiet. They were just beginning to turn red, soon the whole forest would be painted in reds and golds.

Bee rejoiced in that fact. She had always liked autumn best. It brought back memories of tumbling about and playing with the fallen leaves as a pup. Once she had caught a hedgehog and even though the spikes had stung her nose as she bit into it she had presented it proudly to her mother.
Bee allowed a warm smile to cross her face. She couldn't help thinking how beautiful everything was.

With a quick burst of speed she sprinted forwards, stirring up the leaves in a flurry of movement. Bee let her tongue loll out as the wind rushed past her, rejoicing in the speed. Tripping on a root she stumbled, rolling in a pile of leaves. Happy and content she lay there, her chest heaving lightly as she looked up at the light grey sky.

Suddenly her ears pricked the sound of wolves snarling! Her body froze before than accelerating into a flurry of movement. Why did they always have to fight. Someone could get hurt! Bee charged into the midst of the wolves, it was clear to her that a fight was just about to begin.

“All of you STOP! Have some decency! Can't you share??” Trembling and shaking with anger the small golden wolf glared as fiercely as she could at the big wolves all around.

Gaya | Female | 2 years, 1 month | Loner
Location: Southern Woodlands | Mentions: Hades, Kairos, Lillith, Varda, Bee

Gaya lowered her head as the new female wolf appeared. Why where they all here? This one seemed immature, she was suggesting they all shared. Trust, me, Gaya thought. If we could, we wouldn't fight to the death. But winter was approaching, in which food would be scarcer, and the small prey would scurry under the layer of snow. Food was of great value right now. It was a fantastic and foolish thought. Gaya thought perhaps the best option was to run away. Maybe she could meet up with the other male, and perhaps the female (though how much help she would be, Gaya didn't know), and they could bring down a stray white-tailed deer. Three would definitely enough, however, Gaya snorted internally at an image of herself hoarding all the weaker wolves. Gaya turned her head nimbly to watch the older female. Well, She muttered. They would definitely gang up on her. This was no good.

Nivalis | Male | 2 years, 8 month | Loner
Location: Northern Icelands | Mentions: Venus, Asaroth

Nivalis narrowed his eyes. That was the underlying message, He muttered lowly. He flicked his ears with little amusement, Are you looking for a mate in her? . He grinned, though it wasn't too warm. Well then, I'll bid you adieu. Good luck in that. He raised his tail higher and padded towards Asaroth. His fur brushed pass him, and he had to old himself from bumping into him. This was no time to be arrogant, he could be once he had some other wolves to back him up. He set his mind determinedly towards the north, where the snow would provide great cover and there would hares he could hunt down.

Karael l Male l Location: Northern icelands l Mentions: Xerxes/Open

The strange male snorted, and in the cold it emerged a plume of steam like a fox's bottlebrush tail. The stranger seemed to puff himself up again, dragging his feet across the ground as if to mark it with his scent. Karael flicked his ears forward and then, amused, allowed them to fall almost slack as he lifted a leg and pissed a line in the snow. Whatever threat there was here had clearly passed. "If you say so," he rumbled, his voice a low bark of laughter, before turning away at a ground-covering trot, fat flakes of snow gleaming against his dark back.

The lame musk ox watched him warily, and he spared it a brief and hungry thought, one eye fixed on the shaggy hump of its haunches and one ear trained thoughtfully on the wolf he'd left to stalk away from his back. Iriel broke from the wood at a breakneck pace, a small streak of tumbling gray and brown, and hit the ground on her belly just inches away, bristling indignantly from nose to tail even as she butted her nose against the underside of his chin.

Karael pushed her away with his shoulders, reminding her in a gruff tone when she only growled fitfully at the retreating stranger, "If you think you can win, by all means."

She subsided with a quiet, mutinous little growl, "We could."

Karael, still restless with the prickle of the denied fight, was tempted. He trotted on, though, and after a few moments, Iriel followed with a huff and turned her nose to sniffing out prey. Karael rumbled his approval, and chased her away from his own trail with a few blunt nips.

When she had ranged far enough to be at the edge of his earshot, she muttered, "You can't just leave him. What if he comes back?"

"I can, I did," Karael replied with a dismissive flick of his ear. "You can't win if you don't fight, but some fights aren't worth winning. Would you want that in your pack? He did offer, you know."

Iriel's muzzle wrinkled as if she'd tasted something foul, and Karael chuffed his amusement as she dashed off into the snowy wood as fast as her legs would carry her.

"IMAGE EDITED - Moderator removed image due to lack of source"
Hades | Male | 4 years, 1 month | Loner
Location: Southern Woodlands | Mentions: Lilith, Gaya, Kairos

Hades had continued to eat from his kill, waiting for his Lilith to return. He soon saw her appear and was about to greet her affectionately when he heard the crunching of grass and his ears shot up, head turning and intense yellow eyes landing on a small male slinking on the ground towards the deer he killed. He immediately growled, teeth baring, his massive body standing in a protective way over his kill. Did this tiny male really want his food? How dare he. No wolf gets to steal food from him and his mate, that wouldn't be allowed by the aggressive male. He growled fiercely, yellow eyes glaring at his foe intimidatingly, razor sharp teeth bared. There was no way this male was going to get a piece of his meal.

Then he suddenly saw another female crawling towards his food and growled again, sharp teeth still bared as he glared at her. Another loner here to steal from him? Really? How dare they! Then his mate trotted up to him and told him to fix his ears. He would have greeted her, but he was too focused on the invading wolves to do so. Ears flattening slightly, he snarled at the two thieves. Hearing the she-wolf insult Lilith, he snapped his jaws fiercely. He was about to tell the female that Lilith was with him until his mate cleared it for herself, claiming the food was hers before she had licked Hades' ear, the brute looking at her and nuzzling her neck briefly before turning back to his foes. "You guys can leave alive or dead. It's your decision." he growled deeply with warning, taking a step forwards threateningly.

Then a she-wolf barged in and began angrily shouting about sharing and he immediately snarled, snapping his jaws towards the intruding female, rolling his eyes. Why could he and Lilith just be left alone to eat? He wasn't against fighting and was perfectly fine with fighting, but not when he and his mate needed to eat. He continued to glare and growl at the two with intense yellow eyes and bared teeth. "Now, I'll say it again. You all will leave this place, alive or dead. But it's your decision." he snarled, eyeing all three intruders. He and Lilith could take the three of them on. Hades could easily fight all three of them, but it'd be easier with his mates' help. He awaited their answer, muscles tensing.

OOC: Sorry for taking so long. I was with a friend I haven't seen in forever lmao

Gaya | Female | 2 years, 1 month | Loner
Location: Southern Woodlands | Mentions: Hades, Kairos, Lillith, Varda, Bee

Gaya rolled her eyes. This got way out of hand! She barked loudly. It's too much of a bother to continue. Oh well. She sighed, though didn't look too devastated. I saw a white tailed deer near here, it shouldn't be too much of a hastle. This was completely untrue, and in any case she didn't have the skill. Flicking her tail in annoyance, she padded away from the clearing, but remained close by. Other wolves, no matter how aggressive, were an opportunity for her. She slowed down her pace, and kept walking, but her perked ears indicated she was still paying attention to the commotion she had left behind. She scented other scents, and scrunched her nose. How many other loners were here?

Gaya stopped at a little clearing, only about 100 meters away from the other wolves. She tried tracking for prey, but only found a rabbit. It's better than nothing. She though miserably, before crouching. Her brownish fur helped her blend in, and she crept slowly towards the unsuspecting prey. Once she was close enough, she bounded onto the rabbit and bit it. She created quite a mess, leaving a splatter of blood and tufts of fur on the ground as the rabbit went limp. She didn't want to eat here. With a quick stride, she padded out of the clearing into the shaded forest and she hungrily started to tear at the flesh.
