Stripepaw looked round the medicine den. He let out a sigh flicking his tail. He could be out hunting and doing things for the clan. Cooped up in the medicine den was probably not helping. He was taking away good meds that could be used for other cats. Stripepaw didn't even feel hungry. "Good, you shouldn't be able to eat. You failed a simple hunting trip. Your just a screw up." He muttered to himself.

Hawkpaw looked over to Featherheart. "I'm ready, can Snowpaw and Shrewflight be with us?" He asked looking over to the two she-cats. He felt his stomach growl quietly. He ignored it but did feel hungry. He hadn't eaten in a while and he had grown skinny. Hawkpaw wanted everyone else to eat before him. He could survive for a while without food. After this he would bring prey and be able to eat.

Newtpaw nodded to Snowecho. He'd be fine as he watched the medicine cat leave he turned to see Willowstar emerge from the den. "In the den would be nice." He whispered, shyness creeping over his pelt. He followed her into the den and sat down. "Willowstar," He started, respectful of the co-leader. "I've come to the decision that I do not wish to be a medicine cat's apprentice anymore. I know it hasn't been long but with everything that has happened, it doesn't feel like this suits who I am. I want to train to protect my clan with my claws and mind, not my belief in Starclan and medicine. I do wish I felt differently, but I do not." He bowed his head, looking down at his paws as he waited for her response.

I won't be replying for the next three days, but I felt I needed to get this up before I got way behind.

Hawkpaw ignored the urge to jump up and down like a kit. He was so excited to go hunting. He also had to fight to run ahead. He looked to his mentor not really wanting to mess anything up. He would hate to muss up and disappoint Featherheart. He walked outside of camp feeling a nice cool breeze. He felt some light rain splash onto his pelt but didn't roll off like it usually did but made his fur colder and heavier. He started noticing that it wasn't as sleek as it was before.

She gave a modded and padded back into her den and sat before Newtpaw, wrapping her tail around her paws as she listened to what he had to say. Her ears twitched slightly when she heard that he no longer wanted to be a medicine cat apprentice anymore due to his change of heart, and she closed her eyes for a moment to ponder each of his words. After a few moments, she opened her eyes and noticed him looking down at his paws. With a soft smile, she got back up on her paws and lightly used one of her paws to nudge his chin for him to look up.

“There’s nothing wrong with having a change of heart, Newtpaw.” She purred. “It’s better to have the courage to speak up about it instead of keeping it to yourself and feeling miserable with your role. Whether you’re a medicine cat or warrior apprentice, that doesn’t change that whichever way you go, you’re still a valuable part to the clan. If you’ve come to me, then I’m sure that you’ve already talked it over with Snowecho. If this is truly how you feel, then i’ll talk it over with Sunstar and then we can find you a new mentor.”

Wolfpaw - 9 Moons - Apprentice - 18/18 HP - River - Mentions: Duskflight

Wolfpaw purred when the older tom told him that he would teach him what he knew and gave a firm nod to show that he looked forward to it. Once they reached a more shallow part of the river, the fluffy tom gave the area a look over to remember how it looked once Duskflight told him that he would want him to train here even if it was with another warrior. He blinked when he was told to catch a leaf that the amber warrior had tossed into the water rather than the fish in there, but he figured he’d rather not disappoint his new mentor by not listening.

With the clouds gathering in the sky for the upcoming storm, there wasn’t too much sunlight out so he didn’t worry too much about casting a shadow over the water and quickly gathered to his feet, trying to be light on his paws before he struck. He didn’t have much time to prepare from when the leaf was tossed in, so his footing was a bit awkward and he quickly stuck out his paw tried to hook his claws into the leaf before it was carried off in the current. For a moment, he thought that he had caught nothing, but as he pulled his paw back, the leaf was barely hooked by its edge. Had he been a moment later, he would’ve missed the leaf. Though he was glad to have caught the leaf, he wasn’t too keen on the fact that he had almost failed to catch it in the first place. Wolfpaw then turned his attention to Duskflight, tilting his head slightly. “I know that was a messy catch. Is there a way that I could do it better?”
