Softpaw nuzzled Swallowpaw affectionately, glad to be able to calm her down somewhat. He positioned himself more under Stormberry's body, doing his best to carry what he could of the deputy. His legs shook with effort, the deputy was much bigger than himself, making it difficult to carry him. Luckily, with Swallowpaw's help, it worked. He glanced at the she-cat as they half-dragged, half-carried Stormberry over to where the other unconscious cats had been brought. Her fur seemed ruffled and wet, he guessed his own was not much better, and she seemed exhausted. Perhaps it would do them both good to just rest, groom themselves and get something to eat after sleeping.

The white and black tom's mind wandered a little. He found Swallowpaw to be a really beautiful cat, and she was really pleasant to be around to boot. He felt his heart skip a little beat. Her eyes were stunningly beautiful. He shook his head a little, this was not the time to think about which cats were attractive and which were not. Though, with all the destruction, injuries and the highly ranked cats being unconscious, perhaps this was the time? He shook his head again. Any time was the time to think of things like these. At least for him. Admiring the beauty in a world so heavily destroyed gave him a little more courage to keep fighting, to stay with the clan.

He chanced another look at Swallowpaw. He did not know where his sudden crush on the she-cat had come from, but he guessed it must be from all the traumatic events that had happened. They had been good friends for a long time, probably as long as he had known Alderpaw. Perhaps, if he was lucky, Swallowpaw felt the same way about him. He of course would not know that unless he talked to her, which was exactly what he was planning once they had made sure Stormberry was safe.

Swallowpaw shook out her long silvery fur, now a bit damp and cold, once she and Softpaw had placed Stormberry into a soft nest right next to Sunstar. Her fluffy tail brushed over the ground as she turned to Softpaw. The black and white apprentice looked a little bedraggled but her fur probably looked worse. "Hey Softpaw," she meowed, "what do you say we go find somewhere where we can rest and catch up? I haven't really gotten to speak to you since the fire and I miss talking to you. Besides, I need a rest and to get my pelt all in order." Swallowpaw turned her head to find that her fur was sticking all over the place. She laughed half-heartedly, and looked back as Softpaw, icy blue eyes questioning. She really did miss sharing tongues with Softpaw as she considered him to be a very close friend. In the silence she moved towards him and nuzzled along his jaw, seeking warmth and comfort from her friend.

"If you are done, I don't want to make more work for you. It's been a long day- you should get some rest. I can find something else to do!" she mewed to the apprentice. Waving her tail in goodbye, she padded off to find someone else to help. Eventually, her paws lead her to the river. Pebblesplash settled down, and stared up and the rainy sky. She bowed her head, praying to StarClan that everything would turn out alright.

Horsetail peared through the trees, he could not see anything at first. Then the medicine cats breath caught in his throat, there, just beyond the treeline, there where many cats. They were fighting! The sand colored tom was shocked and his eyes were wide, what was going on? This was Starclan, there should be no fighting, nothing here. The tom staggered back and fell over a log, landing on his back, the tom scrambled to his paws again. Before he could be noticed, Horsetail raced back to the other cats.
Panting hard, the medicine cat staggered to a halt in front of the gathered cats. "F...figh...ting", Horsetail panted, "Back.... back there", the tom finished. Horsetail was looking back and nodding in the direction, he had come from. His legs were shaking, but Horsetails breathing was starting to calm at least.

The elder listened patiently to Mumblepaws words, once in a while giving him a kind nod, to let him know that he was still listening. A warm smile came to the old tom's face, as he heard Mumblepaw practically confess his love for Spottedpaw. Hearing the apprentice finish, Lioncloud wrapped his long tail around his paws. "I understand, a lot has happened this days", letting out a heavy sigh, the elder continued, "But you are not the only one", nodding his head towards Spottedpaw, a small smile came to the old toms face. "I'm certain Spottedpaw is also overwhelmed with everything, I know that you might want to be alone right now, but sometimes it is better to share your fears and concerns with your loved ones", letting a chuckle escape him, the old cat continued, "For that, you will have to tell her that you like her, of course."
Lioncloud knew that it might be embarrassing for the young tom to hear this, but the elder had learned that sometimes there was no better time than the present. A purr came to the old tom, as he saw the way Mumblepaw call to Spottedpaw. The apprentice might still be young, but he would definitely make a good mate to the she-cat, when they were both warriors of course. "Don't worry, my lips are sealed", the elder promised. Turning, the elder left Mumblepaw and Spottedpaw alone, he would only be a useless body in their talks.
'Oh, young love', Lioncloud thought, this time his smile was replaced by sadness. As the old tom walked, towards the small group of gathered warriors, Lioncloud remembered his own mate. Duskstorm had been so beautiful, when Lioncloud had met her. They were both just young warriors, the clans had just been united. Lioncloud let out a sigh, 'soon..... very soon Duskstom, I will join you and the rest of my kin', the old tom thought. Neering the rest of the warriors.
As he reached the group of warriors, the elder dipped his head to them. Stagthorn, Honeyfrost, and Clearsong were gathered together, the elder could not have thought of a better group of cats. Letting out a sigh, the old tom sat down. "What is the plan?", Lioncloud asked into the group. The elder eyed a nearby tree, its branches looked pretty sturdy, someone could call a meeting from there. The elders tail twitched, he could probably still make that It was all he could do, not to jump over there right now, to give it a try. The elder scolded himself inwardly, what was he, a kit? they were in a terrible situation right now, it was not time to acke like this.

Hawkpaw gave a yawn revealing his green eyes. He looked around. He must have fallen asleep. He heard murmuring throughout the Clan. "W-what's g-going on?" He stuttered lifting his head up. He perked his ears but just laid his head back back on his paws. He gave a shuddering breath wrapping his tail around his paws. The brown apprentice shivered as wind ruffled his short fur.

"All the high ranked cats passed out," she explained, "We don't know why." Pebblesplash sighed, then shook her head.
"How are you feeling?" Turning her attention to Hawkpaw, she wrapped her tail around her paws, feeling the raindrops hit her fur.

"Maybe we should hunt, the fire probably scared all the prey away so food will be scarce." Swiftstrike says, though he never really like hunting as much, but . he was ready to help his clan. He stands, all ready to go hunt. "The sooner we get food, well the sooner we get food." Swiftstrike says as he starts to walk he looks back to see if Harepaw is following him.

Icepaw sits up yawning. Where was she? This wasn't the medicine den. She looks around and sees the forest in front of her. With a jolt she remembers that the camp had been burned down. She sits up. She quickly grooms herself and rushes over to where the station is. Where was Snowecho or Horsetail? Surly they would be here for the injured? She sees Pebblesplash. Maybe she will know where they are. "Pebblesplash? Do you know where Snowecho or Horsetail is? I fell asleep and now I can't find them." She sees Hawkpaw. "Oh. Hi Hawkpaw." She smiles hoping that he felt better.

Rainpaw - 11 Moons - Apprentice - 17/18 Health - River - Mentions: Pebblesplash (ID), The High Ranks (ID)

Rainpaw nodded, "Alright then, see ya!" Picking up the nests she had finished, she padded back into camp and placed them near where the high-ranks lay under a rocky overhang. She started to nudge Snowecho onto the nest and have him in the curled position, placing his tail on his paws before backing away again. She stood back and saw Sunstar, Willowstar, and Stormberry already were on nests, so she padded over to the next closest cat, Horsetail and started to nudge him onto a nest. After she had done the same with hollowfall, she padded back out of camp to fetch the bird and fish she and Pebblesplash had caught a few hours prior and padded back into camp. She placed the fish in the small pile, then took the bluejay over to the high ranks and sat once more. Carefully, she plucked the feathers from the bird, laying the beautiful blue feathers next to the white one she had found earlier. Soon she had a pile of downy, wing, and tail feathers that she brought to the nests the cats were in and started to weave them in. After she had completed her task, she felt like she had earned her meal. She bent down, and took a hungry bite from the bird and watched the clan move around, some rebuilding, some hunting. Others healing, or chatting. She took another bite and drifted into thoughts of what the future may bring.

Softpaw let out a soft purr at Swallowpaw's suggestion. It would be great having some peace and quiet. His purring got louder as she nuzzled along his jaw. The affection and physical contact grounded him, he was much less worried and afraid than he had been mere heartbeats ago. "That sounds like it'd be great. I'll help you reach the difficult knots." He mewed with a smile. He knew this was as close to normal they could get in this situation, and he would enjoy every moment of it. "I think there's a fallen tree that's a little hollow not far from here. We could stay there until we're rested." He suggested. He had unconsciously observed the tree when he was about to go hunting with Sunstar. The tree was far enough away to give them some privacy, but close enough to hear if a cat called a meeting.

He turned his attention to Stripepaw when he heard his voice. "Rainpaw already did that." He informed, having noticed her walking around and making sure the high ranked cats were comfortable. He glanced towards the nest Snowecho was in. He wished he would wake up soon, they needed him. That, and Softpaw felt like he had to shake some sense into the medicine cat. He turned his attention back to Stripepaw. "Swallowpaw and I are going to rest, we've barely had any sleep since the fire." He said, laying in a tone that said they were not open to accept company. The black and white apprentice really wanted some alone time with Swallowpaw.

Rainpaw finished her bird and started to clean herself when she heard Stripepaw pad over. "Hiya." She said in response, "I dunno. I can't think of anything at the moment." She looked around, and spotted Clearsong, Honeyfrost, Stagthorn, and Lioncloud chatting in a group, "If I remember correctly, I think I heard them discussing who might take lead while the leaders were down." Her tail started to twitch, "I mean, I get what they're trying to do and all, but it kind of looks like they're not giving the leaders a chance to recover." She huffed, looking at her paws, "I just wish this wasn't all happening. It's one event after another." She said, half to herself.

He looked to each of his fellow clanmates, "I think the first thing we should do is have the Medicine Cat apprentices go around and teach a few cats some basic herbs," He proposed, trying not to sound impeding, but still wanting his idea to go out, "This way they can keep their minds sharp and have a few cats know how to help out." He flicked his ears so that the others could put in their ideas.
