Softpaw - 13 Moons - Apprentice - 18/18 - River - Mentions: Alderpaw, Swallowpaw, Stripepaw(All ID), Lionecloud, Open! Softpaw tensed a little as Lioncloud said they were holding a warrior ceremony. His heart sped up and he did as told, stepping forth from the crowd after a few licks to make sure his pelt looked nice. He puffed his chest up, finally, after a long time of delays, he was getting his warrior name. He chanced a glance over his shoulder towards the nest Sunstar was resting in. He hoped he was proud of him. Shaking his head to clear the sudden sentimental thoughts clouding his mood, he turned his attention back to Lioncloud. His heart ached slightly, doubt flaring in his mind and making him doubt his very being. No. He had proved to his Clan that he was worthy of a warrior. If they had as much faith in him as he had in his looks, that meant he was doubting his warrior skills for no reason. With newfound confidence, he raised his voice. "I do." He vowed, his tone proud and confident. He let his gaze wander to Alderpaw. He wondered what the other tom felt. He knew that he had been itching to become a warrior since they were both kits. Now it was finally happening. A warm feeling spread in his chest as he looked at him. As long as they got their warrior names together, he did not care that their mentors were absent. They had each other, and that was enough. He was happy that he had Alderpaw as a friend. His curious gaze wandered next to Swallowpaw. He could tell the she-cat was excited, her excitement almost spilling over to him. He wondered briefly if she also wished that her mentor was there, but quickly forced the thought away. This was the time for excitement, not tragedy. He looked forwards to talking to the she-cat once they had their warrior names, it would be a very special moment for them both. Finally, he looked at Stripepaw. He had trained with Stripepaw since the beginning of their apprenticeship. He worried about the other tom's shoulder. Would he be able to reach his full potential with how badly he had injured it during the thunder storm? He looked towards the elder in the tree. He let the kit-like happiness of being made a warrior consume him. He kneaded the ground lightly where he stood. He knew Ivytuft was probably watching over him, proud that he was finally being made the warrior she had always said he was. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Alderpaw - 13 moons - Apprentice - 18/18 health - Clan territory - Mentions: Softpaw, Swallowpaw (ID), Willowstar (ID), Lioncloud Alderpaw tensed when he noticed Softpaw and eventually Swallowpaw join them, and though he didn't move away, he didn't respond to the other apprentice's greeting, either. His pelt bristled as he listened to Softpaw fawning over Swallowpaw. The young was determined not to listen to it, so he turned to anger to quieten Softpaw and save his heart from any more pain than it had already been caused. "Maybe keep things like that to yourself, Softpaw." He hissed, moving away as they went before Lioncloud for the Clan meeting. He then focused his attention on listening to what the elder had to say, immediately appreciating the comfort of something so familiar as a Clan meeting in these unfamiliar circumstances. His jaw almost dropped in surprise, however, when it was revealed that he and a few of his fellow apprentices were to be made warriors. He remained stunned for a few moments, considering what this meant for him and his future. Willowstar wasn't here to see it happen, to reassure him. Becoming a warrior of the Clan was also the ultimate dedication to it - there would be no going back. That thought might have been intimidating, but the support and comfort he felt from his Clanmates as they surrounded him helped put his mind at rest. Though it may be hard, it may be painful, this was his home, and these cats were like family. Surely, that was something worth protecting. Honeyfrost | 36 Moons | Warrior | 30/30 Health | Temp Camp | Mentions: Lioncloud (ID), Aldershade (ID), Stripecloud (ID), Swallowfall (ID), Softsong (ID), Open Honeyfrost trotted over to a space a little ways from the low hanging branch, her whiskers twitching as she watched Lioncloud make the jump. She sat on her haunches and gave encouraging smiles to the apprentices as they passed her. It made her remember her own warrior ceremony moons ago. She was brought back from her reminiscing when Lioncloud called out their new names, her chest swelling with pride as she joined in. "Stripecloud! Aldershade! Swallowfall! Softsong!" she yowled into the sky. She cheered for them for a little while longer before settling back down. She listened to Lioncloud intently, her eyes widening in interest. She sat in contemplation before she got to her paws and trotted over to the left of the tree. She knew she wasn't very good at speaking before a large crowd but she was willing to put that fear aside to help her clan. Rainpaw - 11 Moons - Apprentice - 18/18 Health - Temporary Camp - Mentions: Stripecloud, Aldershade (ID), Swallowfall (ID), Softsong (ID), Lioncloud (ID) When Rainpaw realized this was a Warrior's ceremony, her eyes went wide. The excitement of her fellow apprentices feeding into her. "You're all gonna be a warriors!" She whispered excitedly to the four other apprentices, then turning back to Lionheart to hear the rest of the ceremony, tail flicking excitedly. After the apprentices had been renamed as warriors, she stood and cheering the names of the new warriors, "Stripecloud, Aldershade, Swallowfall, Softsong!" She lifted her tail vertically and went straight to Stripecloud, bumping her head against his, "Congrats Stripecloud!" She said, her eyes glittering with excitement. It wasn't her ceremony, but she was just as excited as if it had been. When the cheering died down she heard Lioncloud make his announcement about placeholder leaders and deputies and saw Honeyfrost pad over to the deputy side. She then turned her head as she heard a cat murmur something and saw that Clearsong hesitantly stood up from the same direction of the sound. Clearsong - 15 Moons - Warrior - 30/30 Health - Temporary Camp - Mentions: Pebblesplash, Lionheart, Honeyfrost, New warriors (ID) "Stripecloud, Aldershade, Swallowfall, Softsong!" Clearsong chanted with the clan, his whiskers twitched in amusement at the pride he saw in their gazes. He quieted down with the rest of the clan as Lioncloud started talking again. Clearsong watched as Honeyfrost padded forward to the deputy side of the tree. With a glance to Pebblesplash, he whispered "Wish me luck." He looked up at Lioncloud, and saw the calm acceptance in his eyes and his nerves relaxed a bit. Hesitantly, he stood, twitched his ear and made his way to the right side of the tree. He bent to lick his backfur flat and gazed out at the gathered cats., he was doing this. He was really doing this. He swished his tail to the crowd, inviting anyone else who wanted to come up to join him. He knew he was young and he was afraid that, in the way back of his mind, cats wouldn't accept him due to how recently he was made a warrior. He closed his eyes and forced his fur flat again, he hoped someone would offer to be co leader with him. Looking up to Lioncloud, he realized that the big tom might offer to be leader. He looked so natural up there, he finally relaxed at the thought of Lioncloud helping him. That was, if he was accepted. He thought as he heard his new name being called by his Clan mates. He felt Rainpaw bump his head and he gave a purr.He looked to Lioncloud as he gave another important message to the Clan 'A temporary deputy and leader. I almost forgot.' He thought sadly still listening to Lioncloud. He saw Honeyfrost walk left, wanting to be a deputy. He flicked his ear. The tom looked back to Rainpaw. "I know, I still can't believe it. I'm a warrior now, not an apprentice anymore." He looked up to the sky. 'I did it Tanglepaw, for both of us." A flicker of sadness passed through his yellow eye as he looked back to Rainpaw. "Let's just hope my shoulder doesn't get in the way." 'And my blind eye.' He added in his head. Softsong!” Pebblesplash yowled to the sky. She purred, happy for the apprentices. She heard Lioncloud say something about the temporary leaders and deputies being elected or something like that. Pebblesplash heard Clearsong whisper in to her, asking for luck. “Good luck!” She purred cheerfully. Pebblesplash had never been an ambitious cat. She didn’t want to be leader or deputy. All her motives were driven to serve the clan, not lead it. Personally, she wanted to have kits someday and see them grow up in the United Clans, and maybe become leader. Earthquake|32 Moons|27/30|Warrior|Mentions:Lioncloud Earthquake slowly opened his heavy eyelids as if he slept for several moons. His surroundings were blurred and he could barely tell where he was, but steadily on his paws, he lifted himself up. He could faintly hear cheering ahead, realizing what it was he rushed towards the sound. "No it can't..." but it was, he had missed the ceremony. If had known he wouldn't have missed it for all of Starclan, a lump of guilt formed in his stomach. Proud nonetheless, he watched his father announce it all, the elder's voice ringing out among the many voices that celebrated. Still blurry eyed, his tried his best to move along the front so he had a front seat to all the action. Stepping on somecat's tail, to which he promptly apologized, he made to the front break in the crowd. Having listened to Lioncloud auction to appoint leaders he didn't hesitate "I would like to." he said rather loudly, which made him shrink slightly "If that's fine with everyone else..." he added softly. 0 players like this post! Spottedpaw-7 moons-apprentice-14/18-River Spottedpaw could barley stop herself from jumping with happiness as Lioncloud said her brother's name. "Striprcloud! Aldershade! Swallowfall! Softsong!" She limps toward Stripecloud and licks the top of his head. "Congrats! I'm so glad for you!" She smiles at him. She was so happy for her brother. "Do you still have to sit vigil?" she wasn't sure if he still had to sit vigil or not. She stops talking as Lioncloud keeps talking. Icepaw-7 moons-med apprentice-18/18-River Icepaw looked around the clearing they had new warriors! It had been long overdue for them to become warriors. "Striprcloud! Aldershade! Swallowfall! Softsong!" She chanted until the chanting died down. This was so exciting would her naming ceremony be the same or would it be different because she was a medicine cat? She knew she would be Horsetail's apprentice even after she was named. If he ever woke up. She shook herself she shouldn't be thinking that way. In his many moons as a warrior he had seen many ups and downs but it was a beautiful sight when the clan pulled together in times of tragedy to bring something uplifting to the cats. A warm but fleeting smile flashed across his muzzle as he chanted the names of the new warriors. "Swallowfall! Softsong! Aldershade! Stripecloud!" As the yowls died down and Lioncloud finished speaking about temporary leaders and deputies, Stagthorn stood and made his way to the right by the fallen branch. "I volunteer." He said, his deep rich voice ringing out. He wanted nothing more than to see his clan through this trying time and felt that the best way to do that was to help light their path even if his own was murky. As he settled Stagthorn nodded warmly to Clearsong and Earthquake. The younger warrior seemed bit nervous but Stagthorn hoped that a small bit of reassurance could calm Clearsong's nerves. Swallowfall | 13 Moons | Warrior | 30/30 | Temp Camp | Mentions: Softsong, Aldershade, Stripecloud, Lioncloud, Stormberry, Stagthorn Swallowfall's heart beat wildly against her chest, threatening to burst out at any second as Lioncloud called her name. She felt as if she could fly as the clan chanted around her. As the cats began to quiet down sadness blossomed in her chest as she remembered Stormberry's unconscious body. Swallowfall wished that her mentor could see her in this moment. Perhaps they could go hunting together when he woke up... Swallowfall turned her attention back to Lioncloud and when he finished she turned her attention to the cats walking up to volunteer. She admired Stagthorn's strength as the three legged cat walked by her to stand by the fallen branch. She believed he would make a good temporary leader if he was chosen. 0 players like this post! Softsong!" He then let out a tired huff after the chanting started to quiet down. Hmm, Stripecloud... Mumblepaw murmured the name once more to himself. The apprentice looked over to Spottedpaw as she expressed how proud she was of Stripecloud. Mumblepaw took a glance over to the new warrior before letting out a sigh and walking over towards him. "Mmm, I'm proud of you as well, Stripecloud..." He mumbled softly. "Just don't forget about Spottedpaw, Hawkpaw and I." He chuckled sadly before turning away. This is a happy moment, I should be happy.. He grumbled with a frown, why did he feel like he was killing the good mood? "...I'll be back here, I can't breathe.." He pushed himself up onto his paws and cast a quick glance at his sister before padding on over to where the new warriors stood. He squeezed past a few cats until the fluffy apprentice finally reached them and offered them a faint smile. “Congratulations on getting your warrior names, you guys.” Wolfpaw then noted that three of that cats had high ranks as their mentors and that they hadn’t been around to see or give their apprentices their names. “I’m sure that Willowstar is going to be happy to find out that you’re a warrior when she gets back, Aldershade.” He then turned to Softsong and Swallowfall. “I’m sure that also goes for Sunstar and Stormberry as well. Clearsong - 15 Moons - Warrior - 30/30 Health - Temporary Camp - Mentions: Stagthorn Clearsong felt his blurry vision start to focus as a dark brown Siamese cat limped over to him. He watched in a slight daze, but soon he began to realize the cat approaching was Stagthorn. Stagthorn! Clearsong felt his tail swish as the noble warrior approached him and he sat up straighter. His presence reassured Clearsong that his actions had to be accepted, he was doing this for his clan, to help and be the thinker, and for no other reason. He wasn't going to put his clanmates in peril while he held this role in wait for Sunstar and Willowstar to return to consciousness if he could help it. Clearsong felt his fur relax, he let out a sigh, but his eyes still glimmered as he looked at Stagthorn, resembling the excitement of the new warriors. 0 players like this post! Softsong felt dizzy and a little lightheaded when he heard his new name being announced, and quickly licked Lioncloud's shoulder. He looked around the clearing as cats called his new name, curling his tail in delight. He looked over to Aldershade. The name fit him well. Aldershade, he repeated in his head with a soft purr. It took a few moments before he realised that cats had already started splitting into who wanted to lead and who wanted to assist leading. He knew he was just made a warrior, but he wanted to help out in any way he could. Being made a warrior had given Softsong the confidence boost he needed. He decided to talk to his fellow new warriors before making his decision, he was dying to address Aldershade by his new name. He had almost forgot how cold the apprentice had been to him just before the ceremony. He was only thinking of the future. He bumped his head affectionately against Aldershade's shoulder. "Well done on getting a really pretty warrior name." He purred, his eyes betraying more affection than he was displaying. He looked to Wolfpaw when he heard the tom's voice, giving him a broad smile. Nodding his head in agreement at what the apprentice said, he took a glance at the cats gathered around Stripecloud. Everyone seemed much happier than previously.
