He raised his head slightly to turn and see who it was and he gave a slight dip of his head as a small greeting before. The tone in her voice had him notice that she must've been aware of the news with Hollowfall and Horsetail and he let out a small sigh. "It's a mess around here, so I would be surprised if anyone was actually okay. Though, if I had noticed Hollowfall sooner, maybe everyone could've had a better chance to grasp these deaths than find out both of them at the same time." He had already told himself that he couldn't have done anything to begin with, but he still felt guilty on not noticing the co-deputy's death sooner. "How about you though? Cat App | 18/18 | Temp Camp | Mentions: Rainpaw, Hollowfall (ID), Horsetail (ID), Everyone with the high ranking cats Lynxpaw was vaguely aware of Rainpaw speaking to her, but it felt... distant. Numbed. Everything felt numb except the guilt. The guilt was excruciating, like being clawed open over and over again. The whole time, her eyes stayed locked onto Horsetail and Hollowfall- and she hated it. She couldn't bear to look. Trembling and tearful, she backed away, bumping into Rainpaw, and at the same time Mumblepaw began to shout and hiss at everyone. He sounded too loud, it was all TOO LOUD. Were the others staring? Did they blame her? They probably did, her brain answered accusingly. Everything was blurring together, every sound blending into an awful, cacophonous crescendo, and over the top of it all were the words she hated most: All Your Fault. Lynxpaw let out a scream, the loudest she'd ever dared to be in her life, until her lungs burned, and then- And then, she ran away. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rainpaw | 12 Moons | Apprentice | 16/18 | Temporary Camp | Mentions: Lynxpaw Rainpaw felt her blood turn to ice as Lynxpaw let out a scream. She stared trembling, "Lynxpaw! Wait! No!" Dashing after the she cat, she streched her legs as far as her body would let her, bunching her muscles as she tried to keep up with the wiry medicine cat. "Lynxpaw, stop!" She gasped, trying to catch her breath. They were in thunderclan territory, winding through trees and leaping over branches. "Don't go!" She started crying as she ran, Rainpaw felt guilty. She played a part in the work overload that Lynxpaw had recieved and she wished she could have seen it sooner. She shook her head, flicking the tears from her face, and let out one last yell before her legs gave out, "It's NOT your fault!!!" 0 players like this post! Icepaw-med cat apprentice-11 moons-18/18-Temporary Camp Icepaw turned to see Mumblepaw yelling. What was it this time? She walked over and heard Lynxpaw scream and run away. What had happened to Lynxpaw? She walks faster hoping nothing has happened. In the middle of the clearing she sees Horsetail and Hollowfall. Were they dead? She sniffs Horsetails pelt and lets out a wail.He was dead. She buries her nose in his pelt. Why didn't she check on him sooner? Her mentor had died. She couldn't stand it. Two cats in one day? What was StarClan doing letting two cats die? Spottedpaw-9 moons- apprentice-12/18-Temporary Camp Spottedpaw looks as Mumblepaw runs off to group of cats and starts yelling. What had happened? She rushes over but stops as she sees him run off. Lynxpaw as well. What had happened? She runs into the crowd of cats and gasps. There in the clearing was Hollowfall. He was so still. She lets a huge wail. Her mentor that she was waiting for to become conscious again had died. Why would StarClan do this? She would sit vigil for him. She breathed in his scent missing him with a sharp pang. It wasn't fair letting her mentor or any other cat die like this! She buries her nose in his fur. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Clearsong | 15 Moons | Warrior | 30/30 | Temporary Camp | Mentions: Lioncloud Clearsong padded back into camp when he heard a scream that sounded like Lynxpaw and saw her bolting out of camp, followed by Rainpaw. He saw a commotion over near the leaders and he could only assume something else had happened to who seemed to be Horsetail. There was comsiderable less cats in camp and he saw Lioncloud off to the side. He growled, this clan was slowly losing sanity and something good needed to happen soon before cats started leaving. He padded over to Lioncloud and sighed, "I'll cut to the chase, with all that's been happening lately, we don't need any beating-around-the-bush." She sat down next to the tom and curled his tail around his paws, "I caught a slight scent of dogs out by our original camp. Their scent was mostly masked by the charred area, but their musk was definitely there. I'd be wary of the dogs following us to camp." 0 players like this post! Like? |

He slowly turned and padded around camp, hoping to find the two cats Lioncloud had talked to him about. Clearsong didn't see Earthquake, however he noticed Honeyfrost in camp. "Hey," he said, padding up to the she-cat. He told her about the dogs, "Lioncloud also said we should gather up some patrols to check if we can find the dogs. There's not many cats in camp at the moment, but I would say maybe three cats to look for the dogs, I'll have to tell Earthquake about this in a moment and tell him to speak to Lioncloud." WORLD NARRATIVEThe pack of dogs were closing in on the camp, smelling the scent of cats everywhere as they grew closer. One of the dogs noticed Lynxpaw and Rainpaw run out of camp, and it yowled, running after them. Shortly after, the second dog broke off from the last one, going after Earthquake and Pebblesplash. The third dog smelled an unusual scent, and started following it. A mysterious visitor placed a paw upon clan lands, smelling the sweet air of the forest. He smiled. This place is perfect. Here, I will build my kingdom. Now.. I just need cats to rule. Moving silently through the underbrush, the visitor scented the air for any signs of life. A faint smell of ash and cat reached his nose and the visitor turned toward it. His pace quickened, claws unsheathed gouging vicious marks into the earth as his strides ate up the ground beneath him. Coming upon a clearing he gazed around at the wreckage of a camp. Charred lumps of what were once cozy dens lay on the forest floor, long since abandoned. The visitor turned to leave but something caught his eye. Many sets of frantic pawprints led out of the camp and toward the scent of water...and cats. He grinned maliciously and stalked down the path of broken plants, growing closer and closer to the gathered clan. As he came closer to the camp, the cat known as Glade let out a light screech, getting the attention of the dog as well as the cats in the vicinity. He hissed, leaping at the dog. His long talons immediately slashed the throat of the dog, and it fell to the ground with a thud. He yelled to the cats, who were in close enough distance to hear. “My friends! Where are the others? Did you see them?" He padded close to the new comer, sniffing him, "You don't smell of the dog and you haven't recently groomed, so I don't believe you led them here. What are your inentions? Honeyfrost!" He stopped interrogating the cat and spun around to the temporary co-deputy, "We have to send out cats to find the other dogs and... and also see if they haven't found the four cats that left camp!" He finished, his eyes widening. Rainpaw | 12 Moons | Apprentice | 16/18 | Thunderclan Territory | Mentions: Lynxpaw Rainpaw finally caught up to the swift apprentice and lept on her, pinning her down. She was exhausted, needing a rest, "Lynxpaw..." She huffed, "You can't do this. You're going to send the clan into a panic, we need you." She got off of Lynxpaw and laid down, trying to steady her breath. Her ears pricked after a moment and her pelt prickled, she heard barking. It was close, too. We're they near the twoleg nest? She looked around. No, they were near the Riverclan border, she heard the rush of water and saw the stepping stones. She was suddenly glad she loved swimming, that would make for a quick escape route. In the distance, she saw a large black and white shape barreling through the undergrowth, "Lynxpaw!" She stood up quickly, picking up the shocked medicine cat as well by her scruff and put her in a standing position. They had to run, "Lynxpaw, follow me! Quick!!!" She got up and started racing to the stepping stones, leaping onto the first one and watching to see if Lynxpaw followed. 0 players like this post! Hollowfall... dead? That couldn't be! Hollowfall was supposed to wake up with the other high ranking cats, then they would rebuild camp and everything would go back to normal. She whipped around to Horsetail's body, shuddering and fear and sorrow as his lifeless eyes stared into space. Not him too... She numbly noted Lioncloud's words but she made no indication that she'd heard them. Slowly, she sat down on her haunches to reclaim her thoughts. She couldn't imagine a world without the high ranks. They didn't deserve to die without saying goodbye, they were noble cats who would do anything for the clan. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the newcomer make himself known to the clan. She set aside her grief for the moment and rose up to her full height, raising her tail and setting her amber eyes on their form. "Who are you and what business do you have here?" she questioned cooly. She flicked her ear at Clearsong's words and nodded in agreement. "Clearsong, will you go out to find Lynxpaw and Rainpaw? They're apprentices, they are the most valuable to the clan. I will go out to find Earthquake, he and I will talk to Lioncloud to organize patrols. Hurry, with those dogs still around who knows what's happening to out clan mates?" she ordered. She looked around camp, before yowling, "I need volunteers for two patrols! Come with me to search the the old camp for any scents or go with..." she searched for a certain pair of eyes, noddig when she found them. "Aldershade, to see if you can find any others. Report back to Lioncloud or me if you find anything worth noting." She turned back around, lifting her tail in the air and motioning for anyone to follow her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Earthquake|35 Moons|Health: 30/30|Temp. Co-Leader|Clan Border|Mentions: Pebblesplash Earthquake sat with Pebblesplash, still mourning the loss of Hollowfall and Horsetail. His mind drifted afar, he didn't even notice the scent of dog until he took one stuttering breath. The smell caught on his throat and he nearly choked, not believing it. "P-pebblesplash..." he muttered in a low voice, his green eyes usually so vibrant, was now pale and his pupils thin. The disgruntling smell of dog was getting closer by the second. "If I tell you to find the nearest tree, I want you to climb it as fast as you can. You're young and vibrant, the clan is going to need you if I'm ever gone." he managed to keep his voice low, time slowing down to meer increments. The dog burst through the brush, it's heavy panting billowing rancid breath. Earthquake stood his ground, meeting it's gaze as it excitingly looked from him to Pebblesplash. "Fight with all that you can, but if things look bleak, you know what to do." he gave her one last sincere look "We're family, and family battles together." 0 players like this post! She looked over to Earthquake. "I... I understand," she said, unsheathing her claws. Of course, any of her descisions would be made in the heat of battle. Pebblesplash couldn't let Earthquake suffer the same way as Hawkpaw... the guilt was already heavy enough. She poised herself, ready to launch herself in at the dog. A low growl rumbled in her throat, as she waited for the order to attack, or for the dog to make the first move. Either way, she would enjoy clawing it. Lynxpaw | 10 Moons | Med. Cat App | 18/18 | River | Mentions: Rainpaw Lynxpaw struggled blindly at first, her weak frame unable to resist against Rainpaw. She was no fighter, and after a few brief seconds she slumped, sobbing weakly. Rainpaw's words, as kind as they were, felt meaningless to her. Did they really need her? She didn't feel that important. Her thoughts were then shook from her as Rainpaw grabbed her scruff and dragged her to her paws. That was when Lynxpaw first heard the barking, and as her friend begged for her to follow she made a desperate run towards the stepping stones, fear overtaking all her other emotions. The dog wasn't far behind, and as Lynxpaw made the first leap across time seemed to almost slow down. It felt like at any second she was going to be plucked out of the air and torn to shreds. Lioncloud The old ton felt a bit better, after Clearsong comforted him. Letting out a sigh the old calico tom looked over the cats in camp. He could not find Earthquake. Where was his son? Lioncloud did not like the idea that his kin was out there, with dogs running around. As he looked around he also noticed that Pebblesplash was not around either, Lynxpae and Rainpaw also had not returned. Shaking his head, the old tom stood. His thick tail sweeping the ground, his long claws dug into the ground. Why and how did all of this happen? He wondered, not for the first time that day. The large tom shrank together, as a call reached his ear. It was an unfermilier voice, his face in a snarl, Lioncloud turned to see who had called out. His heart beat quickened, as he saw a stranger with a dead dog, standing in front of the deputy's. With long, purposeful strides, the large calico soon stood beside the deputy's. His blue eyes, now sharp and attentive, looked down at the slayen dog. A single cut across it's throte, very calulated. Narrowing his eyes, the leader looked back up into the strange cats face. He looked cocky, Lioncloud did not like it. Hearing the last of Clearsong orders, to Honeyfrost and seeing the she-cat run off to organise a patrol, Lioncloud turned to his kin. "Yes, you go and help bring anyone still out, back into the safety of camp", the large tom said. Turning his attention back to the newcomer, Lioncloud added, "I'll keep our visitor company." Co-Leader|Clan Border|Mentions: Pebblesplash Earthquake managed to make the first blow, leaping blindly as his unsheathed claws connected with the dog's left eye. "How do like that?!" he hissed triumphantly. The dog yelps, throwing back it's head in attempt to throw off the large cat. Earthquake held steadfast as the dog bucked and snapped at his tail. "Pebblesplash!" he breathed, exasperated "Aim for it's stomach!" The dog, distracted and now impaired, growled angrily, desperate to rip this cat to pieces.A satisfying crunch was heard and the cat's yowl split the air. Earthquake's tail was trapped within the maw of the dog, but he didn't budge, his clawed even more frantically, ripping the dog's already damaged eye. 0 players like this post! Like? |
