Horsetail looked out of the medecine cat den, as he saw Earthquake and Clearsong move Lioncloud. The dark sand colored toms sides rose and fell in a deep sigh, this will probably dampen the clans moral. His golden eyes, turned back to Pebblesplash, as the she-cat spoke. The toms ear flicked, as Pebblesplasha's voice started to trail off. Shaking his head, Horsetail moved the stick closer to Pebblesplash's broken leg. Before the she-cat had stopped to speak, Horsetail quickly grabbed her leg in his mouth. Before the female warrior probably knew what was happening, Horsetail had straightened her leg, smeared some comfrey pulp on it, and placed the stick firmly against it. Quickly wrapping the bindweed around it, the medicine cat secured the broken leg in place. "That should be better now", Horsetail said. "I'll bring both you and Harepaw some poppy seeds, once Icepaw has treated your injuries", the tom said, his bright golden eyes moving over first the she-cat and then the apprentice. They had many wounds, but even though somewhere deep, the two did not seem to be in life threatening danger. Moving forward the tom looked at the long gash at Harepaw's neck, that one could be worrisome. Wrapping some cobwebs around his paw, the tom started to dab away most of the blood. With his other paw, the tom quickly brought some goldenrod, marigold, and honey over. Mixing the yellow flowers and sticky gold into a thick paste, Horsetail smeared it over the apprentices wound. Instead of using cobweb, the golden eyed tom wrapped bindweed around it. Stepping back, Horsetail nooded, this would hold for a while.
Turning to Icepaw, he gave the young she-cat a nod, "I want to to continue treating them", Horsetail said, indicating Pebblesplash and Harepaw as well as Rainpaw, who he had not checked yet. "I'll go out and see if others need treatment as well. I will bring some poppy seeds out first though, remember 3 for Pebblesplash, 2 for Harepaw, and 1 for Rainpaw, but only if he complains too much", the last bit the tom said, with a grin, "if Pebblesplash asks for more, you can only give her up to 3 extra, but increase it slowly", Horsetail concluded. Knowing that all of this might be a bit daunting, Horsetail placed his tail on the she-cats shoulder. "I know you can do this", Horsetail said, "And if you need help, I'll be right outside."
First popping into the small makeshift herb store, Horsetail grabbed poppy seeds, raspberry leaves, thyme, more marigold, and comfrey. Making his way out again, the medicine cat placed some of the poppy seeds next to Icepaw. Then gathered up some of the goldenrod and honey, wich he added the bundle he was already carrying. As he passed by Rainpaw, he tapped Stripecloud on the shoulder. He probably had not heard Horsetail before, "Can you go out and bring any cats still outside, into the safety of the camp?" Not really waiting for the young warrior to answer, Horsetail turned to Clearsong. Answering the question he had stated before, Horsetail nodded, "Yes you could help, just not in here, I think Icepaw has it handled. Can you bring some fresh bedding and water in, also if you see it", the golden eyed tom pulled a large leaf closer. "Can you bring some dock too, lining their nests would help Pebblesplash and Harepaw to heal", the medicine cat said. Walking passed the young tom, he tapped his shoulder, "Thanks", the dark sand colored tom said. His long tail snaking back and forth, as he continued to walk -now with the bundle of herbs in his mouth- Horsetail reached the outside of the medicine cat den.
Looking around at the cats, Horsetail called out, "Anyone who's injured, come over here!!" Looking around he noticed that Lynxpaw was nowhere in sight, where was she? He wondered, clicking his tongue in a bit of annoyance. He'd have to speak with Snowecho, about his apprentices absence. Horsetail paused and looked to the white tom, if he ever returned. Shaking this though out of his head, Horsetail placed the bundle on the ground next to the entrance of the makeshift medicine cat den and started to lay them out.

Softsong padded back towards the temporary camp with Clearsong, sharing Lynxpaw's weight between them. He almost stopped walking when he spotted Aldershade. He remembered that they had to talk, but he could not just let Clearsong carry Lynxpaw all the way by himself. "I'll come back! Just stay here." He called to the other tom. He felt excitement bubble up in his chest. He assisted Clearsong in putting Lynxpaw down neatly, then as he was about to rush out of camp, he spotted a stranger. A skinny siamese tom with no Clan scent. His green eyes searched the camp for Lioncloud, the elder would surely know what to do with the stranger. Only after he registered the scent of blood and death did he realise that the elder he had looked up to since kithood was dead. He stared, speechless, until Clearsong's mournful noise broke it. His ears pressed flat against his head and he quickly jerked his body around and tore out of camp.

Tail streaming out behind him, he ran after Aldershade's scent until he bowled the other tom over. He quickly buried his face in his friend's fur. He took a few seconds to catch his breath before he pulled away and looked up at him. "Y-You came from camp... Was Lioncloud..." He trailed off, unable to finish his question. It was too fresh, too raw to admit that they had lost the big tom. He took a shaky breath, not even bothering to get off his fellow warrior. Being close to Alderhsade like this always helped calm him down.
