Mumblepaw would mutter something to Snowecho quietly. "Sore..." He managed to mew something to Snowecho a bit louder. "Everything... feels sore.." He'd force himself to say. He could feel his head spinning as he felt tired. His eyes would close and open only to close again. The pain he felt was almost unbearable.

Shrewflight - 25 moons - Warrior -30/30- Camp, clan territory - Mentions: Snowpaw, Foxflame

Shrewflight waits directly under the branch after inching forward for what felt like forever, but had only been a few minutes. Her muscles tensed, she finally locks eyes with the sparrow, and the second its song stops, she strikes; she leaps up and sinks her claws into the tree, propelling herself up, up, up to the branch, and clamps her jaws on one of the sparrows wings as it extends them to take flight. She falls back to the earth with a thud, a few feathers falling free of her jaws before she crunches down, killing the thing, and promptly burying it next to the tree for later. She licks her chops.

Softpaw perked up. Finally a chance to stretch his legs! He crouched low as he sniffed the ground to pick up the rabbit scent trail. He sped up a little as the scent got stronger. He did not pick up that Shrewflight had stopped to hunt a sparrow, instead speeding up some more. He looked up from the ground and paused. The rabbit had frozen, looking up in alarm. Bunching his muscles up, Softpaw got ready to tear through the forest after his prey. The shriek from Shrewflight set the rabbit off, Softpaw sprinting after it.

Shrewflight - 25 moons - Warrior -30/30- Camp, clan territory - Mentions: Snowpaw, Softpaw, Foxflame

Shrewflight whipped around, her eyes as round as puddles as the sight of Softpaw chasing the rabbit. She wasn't aware of how she'd caused it to run, but seeing a running rabbit with an obvious Windclan cat in pursuit awoke an old memory in her, and she smiled; she ran after him and flanked the rabbit as best as she could, meaning to let Softpaw make the kill but wanting to help.

Reaching the camp, the tom headed inside. As he passed by several cats, HorseTail's blue-green eyes scanned the cats. It had become a habit of his, this was just to make sure no one was in need of him. Not seeing any major injuries on anyone, the tom headed for the medicine cat den. Maybe, he should go make his rounds and see how the elders were doing. He should probably also get IcePaw, where was his apprentice? Maybe in the medicine cat den? Herb store? Well, he'd just have to check.
Reaching the medicine cat den the tom stepped inside, his ears immediately pricked as he heard SnowEcho call for someone to fetch moss with water. Dropping his bundle beside the entrance to the herb store, the tom rushed into the store. Grabbing a bundle of dry moss, HorseTail quickly dipped it into the small pool carved into the back of the the herb store. Coming out again, with the dripping bundle of green tightly held in his jaws, HorseTail rushed to SnowEcho's side.
"What happened?", the dark sand colored tom asked the other medicine cat, through the moss bundle. Looking down at MumblePaw, HorseTail's eyes narrowed. The apprentice looked week, what had happened?

Snowpaw sees Shrewflight run off after Softpaw. She runs to the sparrow. It lifts into the air but Snowpw jumps and mangaes to swat it down then kill it. She carries it in her mouth. She walks over to where she was before. She looks at where Shrewflight and Softpaw had disappeared. She turned around "Foxflame are you still here." She asks wondering if her went after as well

Icepaw looks at Snowecho as Mumblepaw lays there. She doesn't know what to do. She lets out a sigh of relief as her mentor Horstail enters the den. "Horsetail is there anything I should get for him?" She looked at Mumblepaw worried. She didn't like seeing cats in pain. "Is there an herb I need to get?" She looked at Mumblepaw again. He feels sore? Was there an herb for that? If course there is. Just because she hasn't learned it yet didn't mean it didn't exist . She looks up at Horsetail expectantly.

Hollowfall took a few more steps before he noticed the apprentice not following. He let out a large sigh before he turned and padded over to her. "I'm sorry. Seeing your father must be rough. But, I can't teach you anything if you don't want to train," He said, flicking his tail behind him. He knew what she must've been going through. Plenty of stirred emotions and moments of distraction, but he still had to do his job.

Spottedpaw realizes Hollowfall telling her fits time to train. She was in fact thinking about her father. She quickly starts to follow. When she catches up she says a quick apology to him. "What are we doing? Battle Training or hunting? Or both?" She looks at him excited that she would finally be training with her real mentor. Training with Mumblepaw had been fun but confusing. Now her mentor will teach her everything right from the beginning.

Snowecho looked over at Horsetail when he came in, glad to see him with the moss. "He's been having some issues with his throat." He replied, taking the moss and pushing it closer to Mumblepaw. "I have some honey that Icepaw, Featherheart, and Briarsong got a couple of days ago." He informed. "Mumblepaw, please drink some before eating the honey. The honey will soothe your throat." He murmured to the apprentice, trying to be a comforting presence to him.

Softpaw raced after the rabbit, stretching out his legs as far as they could go with each leap. He launched himself through the air at some point, managing to land on top of the rabbit and bit its neck. He said his thanks to StarClan and stood up panting. He looked around for Foxflame, Snowpaw, and Shrewflight. Realising he had probably ran off from them, he flattened his ears in embarrassment and picked up the dead animal. The smell of the rabbit's blood filled his nostrils, making his stomach growl in hunger. Maybe he should head back to camp with the rabbit and give it to the elders so he could eat.

He smiled when her regular enthusiasm picked back up again after a second. Hollowfall was pleased that the young she-cat was excited. He didn't want their first lesson to be boring, so he decided to start with a little bit of fun. "Battle training," He replied, a small gleam of amusement in his icy blue eyes. His smokey grey pelt shone like a dark silver in the patches of sun that shone through the trees above and dotted the ground. It was going to be a good day, it had been so far.

Foxflame smiled at Shrewflight’s comment. “Indeed. You might have even become fresh-kill by my paws.” He looked at the she-cat with soft eyes. “You’d not have your beautiful pelt as well, hmm?” After a moment, he could no longer hold in his laughter.

Foxflame had been following his clanmates quietly as they were hunting. He’d seen Shrewflight make her catch on the sparrow. “I commend you. Such a catch could surely not be matched by most cats,” he complimented, eyeing the sparrow with interest.

Shortly after, Softpaw and Shrewpaw had chased after the rabbit, and when they’d finally caught it, Foxflame sighed. “I wonder if you’ve spent as much energy catching that rabbit as it will provide.” He sniffed the air.

He caught the scent of a mouse in a nearby bush and subsequently began to crouch. I should let the apprentices kill it, he thought. ‘Twould rest their resolve.

Foxflame swiped a paw at the grass behind the mouse. The mouse, startled, ran towards Foxflame, immediately realizing its mistake. Foxflame backed up quickly and pinned the mouse into the ground by the tail.

He looked at the apprentices. “Now which one of you two would like to take the honor of this kill?”

The tom looked over as he noticed IcePaw, HorseTail nodded his head at her question, "Yes, get some Daisy leaf and Feverfew out of the store", the medicine cat said. Turning back to MumblePaw, he was about to ask the apprentice what had happened, maybe if he know he would be able to help better. HorseTail stopped though and turned back to IcePaw, just than remembering that the young she-cat might not know what Feverfew was. "Feverfew looks alot like daisy, it has a sharper smell to it though", the sand colored tom said. Nodding to the herb store, to send IcePaw off, the tom turned back to the apprentice lying on the nest.
Hearing SnowEcho's words, HorseTail nodded. Honey was a good idea, "MumblePaw, I know your throat is bothering you, so you just have to nod yes and no to my questions, alright?", HorseTail said, moving closer to the apprentice. "Did you eat or drink anything weird?", the tom asked.

Swiftstrike yawned. He just woke a from a long na in the sun. He stretched taking a nice breath of warm air. He looks around for his apprentice, Harepaw. Not seeing Harepaw he grabs a mouse from the fresh kill pile. He lays down and grooms himself with a mouse in front of him. After grooming he eats a mouse. The mouse was good and warm.
