CottonPaw's nose crinkles slightly with confusion as she finds herself alone.
She wanted to find out what was wrong, but she didn't know where to look.

Sighing with acceptance that she wasn't of much use, she headed for the fresh-kill pile, where she picked up a large rabbit - big enough to share with her sister. Fluff dangled from her mouth as she trotted back to the Apprentice's Den to bring breakfast to her Kin.

The healer glanced down his muzzle at Dapplepaw as the lynx tried to sidle in as if he had never gone off to who-knows-where to frolic amongst the butterflies in his brain. The scythe least, the usually patient tom was nearing the end of his tether with his wayward apprentice. ”We’ll talk later.” he promised, tone soft but firm, disappointment lacing his dawn gaze. The tom stood, tail curling as he moved after his king, flicking an ear at him in acknowledgement. Being a high rank, Shadepetal was not inclined to bow his head to his king, but still respected him with small gestures.

Bounding after the large lion when he started off down the stone tunnel, the healer took the lead, hoping Duskstar wouldn’t take offence from the move. He was more accustomed to the damp, dark path, whiskers twitching as they guided him down into the mountain. A pool glimmered into view, somehow illuminated despite the shadowy confines in inhabited. The surface was eerily still, encircled by rock and dark sand. Trotting down to the edge, he felt the cool liquid lap over his toes. Crouching, he paused to glance up at Duskstar before his tongue darted out and touched the water of the sacred StarPool. Almost immediately, darkness swirled in his vision and his head drew back to rest on his paws as sleep engulfed him.

Cranium drooping, the apprentice nodded to the lynx, wordlessly following him into the healer’s den. The vines that draped over the entrance an down his back, eliciting an involuntary shiver. Usually, such a feeling would bring thoughts of comfort, as if the mother he never had was running her… abnormally large tongue down his spine. However, this time, the sensation brought about a chill that followed wherever it touched, the soft vines felt like sharp claws dragging down his back eerily. Glowpaw, so caught up in his anxious mind, abruptly stopped when his forelegs collided with something somewhat solid. Blinking, he glanced down to see he had almost tripped over, or, fallen into, a nest. Clambering in, the small tom circled a bit, before curling himself up in the corner, tail falling over his muzzle as he faced the wall. HIs gaze was blank, brain preoccupied with musings and fear to think the it could be odd that he was being so silent and acting so unsociable, a stark contrast to his usual, happy, bubbly self.

The king watch, as Shadepetal leaned down and drank the cold dark water. Before leaning down himself, the liger king looked over the still water of the Starpool. Not for the first time, the king wondered how the pool had formed. The water was almost black and on its still surface danced stars. These stars were actually just the reflection of the glow worms hanging on the ceiling of the cave, but this fenomena was the reason for the pools name. Moving closer to the water's edge and leaning down, the king took a sip of the cool water. He immediately felt light headed, lying down on the sand, king let the darkness wash over him. A warm breeze woke Duskstar up and the king opened his eyes, to the beauty scenery of StarPrides hunting grounds.
