Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.
2000px-Decorative_text_divider.svg.png

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES
Two-legs have taken a Duskclan cat.
Two-leg traps have been found in both clans.
A Dawnclan cat was killed by an unknown source.
A strange new scent has been found all over the territory, its source leading apparently south.
Ravenblaze has seen a Starclan sign in the clouds.
~~
During a storm, Duskclan cats found three bodies, all deceased. Two Dawnclan, one Duskclan.
Dawnclan on the same patrol found a few pawprints, hard to identify but heading what looks like south.
Mothpaw, Ravenblaze, and Hornetpaw have seen signs in the clouds, cats fighting against an unknown darkness.
~~
Two strangers have been found in the territory, one taken by the two-legs another who seems to be nesting near the Cavern on Dawnclan territory.

The traps are discovered to not be for the cats.

Cloudburst || 26 moons || Female || Dawnclan Warrior/Queen (4 weeks) || Long white fur with dilute tabby calico marks || polydactyl || Location{Dawnclan camp} || Mentions {directly-Hornetpaw, Gingerstar, Ravenblaze, Mousefur} {indirectly-}

Cloudburst was scared out of her pelt by the sudden yowl from another cat, her fur puffed up as mush as it could against the rain in fright, claws outstretched ready to fight, though being with kit she was also making plans on where to run. It wasn't until she realized it was Gingerstar that she sheathed her claws once more. The cream she-cat took a moment to breath before following through- somewhat begrudgingly- with the leaders command. She wasn't too happy with the leader recently due to her seemingly uncaring manor about Mousefur's demise, really she was a bit selfish to expect all cats to respond to such a tragedy the same way she did. She personally felt that- at the moment- Hornetpaw and Ravenblaze were the only cats that had a 'good enough' reaction to her mate's death. Of course all of these grudges would dissipate, but in her hormonal and grief stricken state she would hold onto them.
Cloudburst began to think back to the pawprints, what were they from? She looked back in the direction they were coming from one last time before entering the camp once more, Her blue eyes swiveled to to rest on Hornetpaw, then Ravenblaze, "Maybe it was just a badger?" she said, she knew it wasn't from a badger, but it was much too big for a Duskclan cat- at least she wasn't quite ready to believe it was a Duskclan cat. A shiver ran down her spine as she imagined cats that massive in the clan of rogues. She gulped down the fear that she could feel rising in her throat at the thought.
She started off to the nursery, but stopped herself- knowing the pull of the nursery's warmth in her mental state wouldn't let her go for another couple days. She wouldn't go back just yet. She had to do something and Gingerstar's sudden appearance in their patrol was keeping her from that. "M-maybe I can help you two... organize something?" she asked, not really knowing what the two do when they aren't out collecting herbs or checking up on cats. She felt kind of bad that she didn't pay attention to the two unless they directly interacted with her.

Scorchwing | Warrior of DawnClan | Long-Limbed White & Charcoal Female | Location: Camp | Mentions: Flamepaw, Larkclaw, Umbraclaw, Foxpaw, Weaselflight [Direct]

Scorchwing peered around with her eyes half-lidded, simply enjoying the growing storm. She hadn’t minded Foxpaw’s words as much as she usually would have. She hated swimming, that remained a certain. But enjoying the rain took no effort, not for her. She remembered her father, Nighteye, taking her out into the opened skies when she was a kit and simply splashing about with her. So, perhaps it wasn’t the rain and more so the memories attached.

The long-limbed warrior allowed a pensive smile to touch her lips, only to fall away at the brush of her apprentice’s voice. She peered down at Flamepaw with a contemplative look, eyes now narrowed. She doubted having the two apprentices alone, in the forest, during a growing storm, was logical. Just as she was opening her mouth to reply, she noticed Larkclaw split from the group slightly before returning back to Umbraclaw. “It appears as though we’ve found something interesting. How ‘bout you stick around for a bit, hm?”

Her words would go unnoticed, however, as Foxpaw’s hiss met her own ears. Scorchwing bounded forward, dripping tail elevated from her body. She narrowed her eyes and a harrowing snarl left her maw, just as she recognized the body of her apprentice’s mother. What had happened? She peered into the sheets of rain, her teeth glintening threateningly, uncertainty seeded deeply within her gut. “What have you done?” Her voice crackled with intensity and rose above the clatter of rain, the she-cat determined to remain civil while desires to defend and avenge her clanmate. Her body seemed to shake with growing fury. Without much conscious recognition from the driven female, she launched in the direction of the yowling cat, slipping easily down the rocks to get closer.

Harepaw | Apprentice of DuskClan | Small, Hickory & Cream Female | Location: DuskClan Territory | Mentions: Dustpelt [Direct]

Harepaw grinned, listening to him. She hadn’t met any DawnClan cats, but from the wounds she’s seen and the stories that accompanied them she could only deduce that they were savages that simply wanted to see the end of DuskClan. For whatever reason that may be. “I mean, from what I’ve seen, they really don’t like to talk like normal catfolk.” With a shrug she continued to listen to him, her nose twitching as rain splattered down upon it. She wiggled her dark ruddy colored nose and fought off a sneeze.

She shrugged, considering his words. “Maybe he’s dead, maybe he’s living a kittypet life… who knows. He was always a softie.” Her words, although slightly cruel, held no criticism. “It doesn’t look that bad,” she mewed, regarding the cluster of nests. Just as her words ended, a rustle from the trees made her flinch and glare. She nodded wordlessly and pressed herself closer to the male as they began to trek in a vague patrol-like fashion. She wondered what the rustle was. If it was something they could hunt, or if it was a Two-leg or their mutts. Neither of which she wanted, but it was still good to know what was nearby.

Harepaw released a soft, anxious breath, continuing to glance towards in the general direction of where the noise resonated from, hoping to catch a glimpse of whatever had startled them both. “Maybe it was just the wind?” She murmured lowly, her words barely audible over the clash of rain on dirt. She hoped it was the wind. She wasn’t confident in her ability to fight, only in her ability to run. She knew how to confuse, but not how to injure. She lowered her body into a stalking motion, her water-slicked tail held out directly behind her. Hopefully the rain would discourage whatever it was.

Weaselflight | DuskClan Warrior | 21 Moons | Tom | River Rocks | Owlfeather, Cherrysong; Unknown Bodies; Foxpaw; Umbraclaw; Flamepaw; Scorchwing

Weaselflight heard the anger behind the warrior's words when she burst out of the forest to stand alongside the small ginger cat. She bounded forwards onto the rocks crossing the river, and he arched his back, baring his teeth in some semblance of defense. He was glad that Owlfeather was here with him... maybe she would know what to do.

"D-don't come any closer!" he said with as much authority as he could muster, claws slipping out and his body shaking slightly from cold and exhaustion. He was trying to figure out why DawnClan would be so concerned about the body, when suddenly it hit him.

"Is this one of yours?" he called down, suddenly sagging with relief. They wouldn't attack him when they knew he hadn't done anything, right? "We found her here with..." he glanced sideways at Owlfeather, "t-two other bodies. We lost one of our own, this wasn't us." His heart was pounding, and he felt rather faint. Dizzy, almost. His legs were shaky, and so he plopped down hard onto his hindquarters, suddenly wishing that Dustpelt was here beside him rather than Owlfeather. She was his deputy, he trusted her diplomatically and to a point to keep him safe but Dustpelt was the one who actually knew him and how to help him work over these damned anxiety fits. He sat there shivering, dropping his head in exhaustion, eyes scrunched shut as he waited for the DawnClan cats to respond or Owlfeather to take control.
Better safe than sorry

Scorchwing | Warrior of DawnClan | Long-Limbed White & Charcoal Female | Location: Camp | Mentions: DawnClan Patrol ; Weaselflight & Owlfeather [Direct]

Scorchwing was still shaking; fury was one hell of a drug, and one she was greatly affected by, always had been. Her blood pounded in her ears, echoing the rain that splattered upon the slick rocks. Despite the storm that raged around them, she still managed to hear the soaked tom. Don’t come closer? She bared her teeth in a challenge. It was Sunspots, of course she would come closer! A low growl rumbled in her chest, but his next words stopped her from any planned attack.

“Of course it is, mousebrain!” She snapped, her words harsh. Her claws scraped across the grit beneath her. “If it wasn’t you, then who?” She snarled, keeping herself planted on her rock, tail lashing. Civility was never her strong suit. She took long strides to the body, eyes locked onto it. “Umbraclaw! We need to get Sunspots out of here! Keep the apprentices back!” She knew what losing kin felt like, but they didn’t need to see Sunspots like this.

She peered down at the waterlogged cat, her heart sinking. She hadn’t known them personally, but it was sad to see such a lovely warrior meet StarClan so soon. “You said one of yours was also killed?” She asked, voice taut with now hidden anger. “What could have killed them, then?” Regardless of her personal feelings towards the impurities of DuskClan, she would always do everything in her power to keep her Clan save. She looked over Sunspots for any probable cause of death while she waited for an answer. She doubted they’d be mousebrained enough to try and attack with a patrol to back her up.

>⇺ [ Hornetpaw ] ⇻
18 Moons • Male • DawnClan • Medicine Cat Apprentice
Location: Camp • Mentions: Cloudburst, Ravenblaze, Gingerstar

Hornetpaw met Cloudburst’s gaze as she suggested the pawprint might have come from a badger, the look in her eyes implying she didn’t quite believe her own words. “Maybe,” he replied quietly, knowing just as well as her those prints were not the mark of any predator the Clan had encountered before. All the same, sharing his doubts with the queen would do nothing to soothe her own doubts and turmoil. Cloudburst didn’t need more concerns to worry about so close to kitting.

As she inquired whether or not Ravenblaze might have anything else she could help them with he found himself uncertain. Most warriors and apprentices found the tasks assigned to medicine cats rather dull, but he supposed anything would be better than wallowing away alone in the nursery. “I suspect Gingerstar may want to speak with all of us once we’re back in camp, but I’m sure there will still be plenty to do after,” he confirmed.

⇺ [ Falconstrike] ⇻
30 Moons • Male • DawnClan • Warrior
Location: Camp • Mentions: Sparrowclaw (Directly) / Gingerstar. Cloudburst (Indirect)

“Not in the least,” he replied lightly, chin resting on his paws as his tail flicked idly behind him. Sparrowclaw appeared just as bored as himself, but there wasn’t much to be done without Gingerstar in the camp. Stretching out his front legs to chase the stiffness from his muscles, he rose to his feet, mildly annoyed by the rain sinking through his sleek coat, chilling his skin. He shook his head, raindrops splattering from his tattered ears before he padded closer to sit beside her. “Perhaps once Gingerstar returns you and I-”

He paused as their leader re-entered the camp, the tenseness in her gait troubling him. She was more than annoyed from what he could gather, something had happened out there. Hornetpaw, and Cloudburst’s anxious expressions only seemed to confirm this. Every cat seemed to be in one piece, he couldn’t detect any signs of injury, but he couldn’t help feeling it was more than the deteriorating weather setting the mood.

⇺ [ Redeye ] ⇻
36 Moons • Male • DuskClan • Warrior
Location: River Rocks • Mentions: Blackstar, Weaselflight, Owlfeather, DawnClan Patrol

As they reached the river rocks Redeye pulled ahead of Blackstar, senses straining to pick up traces of Owlfeather and Wesealflight. Relief washed over him once he caught sight of both through the mist, blurry orange shapes on the opposite side of the river causing his pawsteps to hasten. He reached them just as Scorchwing arrived on the scene, and it took great restraint to keep his lips from curling.

He bristled at the sight of another body, this one unfamiliar, but clearly a DawnClan cat considering Scorchwing’s reaction. Limbs tensing, his ears flattened against his narrow skull and he backed up a pace or two. “This is bad,” he muttered under his breath. “Real bad.” He glanced over his shoulder, urging Blackstar to hurry. How would they explain a DawnClan warrior's body on their side of the border?

Foxpaw|Apprentice of Dawnclan|Small Ginger Tabby She-cat|Location: Clan Borders|Mentions: Weaselflight, Dawnclan patrol, Owlfeather

The air was tense as more of the Dawn clan cats emerged. But as Scorchwing talked to the warrior, she gave a hiss. She couldn't believe her ears. The very fact that Scorchwing was even considering listening to the tomato across the shore. Her eyes glanced to the side. She could see another pelt just beyond where they stood, with another body. Had there been a border skermish? She wouldnt doubt it.
"You really believe this flea bitten cat? I bet they killed Sunspots over the rocks!" Her claws scraped into the earth and her muscles bunched. She wasnt going to allow these cats to get away with murder. With a flash she bounded forward, claws flashing. She didnt care about the repercussions, she didn't care that she was defying a warrior, in front of her mentor. All she saw was red as she launched herself onto the rocks, launchong herself downward at the warriors who stood near her mother.
News/Event for Anyone
The storm rages on.

⇺ [ Redeye ] ⇻
36 Moons • Male • DuskClan • Warrior
Location: River Rocks • Mentions: Foxpaw

As Foxpaw hurtled toward them Redeye sprang forward before any of his Clanmates could react, claws remaining sheathed as he rushed to meet the young she-cat. He could see the fury in her eyes, the rage motivating her rash actions. Whoever this cat was, they had been close. Avenging a loved one was something Redeye could understand and the hostility melted from his own body as he collided with the ginger apprentice.

He struggled to restrain her, finding the smaller cat was stronger than expected. Wrath had the tendency to offer strength to those it possessed, after all. He resisted the urge to release his claws and keep a better hold on her, instead using his superior weight to try and pin her down until her Clanmates could cross and retrieve her. He hoped they could sense his intentions or else a battle would soon erupt over the rocks. Still, he couldn't allow the grieving cat to harm Owlfeather or Weaselflight, perhaps his response could be considered just as reckless and impulsive.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: |Mention(s) Directly: Foxpaw, Scorchwing, Redeye|Mention(s) Indirectly: Weasleflight, Owlfeather, Sunspot, Stoneclaw

Flamepaw stood rooted to the spot, as he mentor came up next to them and started to address the Duskclan cats across the border. Any words that were spoken fell on Flamepaws death ears, Sunspot, her mother, was gone. Even from here, she could tell that the normally beautiful she-cat was dead. Her body was limp and she would never allow herself to be caught in such a miserable state, had they killed her? no, why would they be carrying her, if they had. As the ginger tabby she-cat watched, another cat joined the first. This newcomer also placed a lifeless cat next to her mother, Flamepaw could not recognise who it was. The apprentices heart froze, as a thought came to her. Where was her father? Could that be Stoneclaw? The young she-cat dug her claws into the wet earth under her paws, could Starclan truly be that cruel, as to take both of her parents?
Flamepaw head snapped back, as she heard Foxpaws cry. Before she could say anything, Foxpaw suddenly ran past her in a flash. "Foxpaw!!!", the ginger tabby apprentice called after her sister. What was she doing? A snarl came to Flamepaws lips, she was not going to lose her sister today as well.
Leaping forward, the ginger apprentice bolted across the river after her sister. Foxpaw was going to get herself killed, facing two full grown warriors, Flamepaw thought. As she reached the other side of the river, Flamepaws breath caught in her throat. Foxpaw was pinned, her littermate was going to be killed. Flamepaw sprang forward, "Let her go, fleabag", Flamepaw growled at the white tom standing over her littermate. The apprentice was lashing her tail back and forth, her claws where extended. The young she-cat was prepared to pounce on the Duskclan warrior, if he did not get off her sister.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: |Mention(s) Directly: Redeye, Foxpaw, Flamepaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Weasleflight, Scorchwing

The deputy let her claws slide out, as another cat joined the two young ginger cats. The she-cat watched, as Weasleflight and the Dawnclan warrior called back and forth over the rushing river. So it was a Dawnclan cat, Owlfeather thought. Looking down at the cats body next to Weasleflight. Owlfeather let out and internal sigh, this was going to be a lot of trouble. Owlfeather looked over to the tom next to her, as he sat down. The deputy placed her tail on his shoulder, Weasleflight had done well. Stepping a bit closer to the edge of the river, Owlfeather was about to call over it, when an orange blur, shortly followed by another on, came spreading across the river.
Owlfeather stumbled back a bit, as Redeye suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stopped the young ginger cats attack. The deputy was lost for a few moments, watching the warrior and apprentice fight. Seeing the other orange apprentice appear next to Redeye and threatening the warrior, a snarl came from the deputy. "Enough!", the deputy declared, placing herself between Redeye and the second ginger tabby she-cat, before she could attack. "Redeye, let the apprentice up", Owlfeather ordered the warrior. "And both of you cool your heads", the Duskclan deputy said, looking first to the apprentice pinned under Redeye and then to the other standing before her. They looked quite the same, maybe littermates. A thought struck her, where they.....? Owlfeather looked to the body Weasleflight had found, 'that was probably their mother', the siamese she-cat concluded.

Scorchwing | Warrior of DawnClan | Long-Limbed White & Charcoal Female | Location: River Rocks | Mentions: DawnClan Patrol ; DuskClan Patrol ; Deceased at River Rocks [Direct]

Scorchwing followed quickly after the two ginger mollies, her growl directed towards the two apprentices. “That is enough! We will keep the peace, there is too much we don’t know here!” She snapped, grabbing ahold of her apprentice and tugging her back before darting towards Foxpaw to wrangle her away from the white warrior, placing her near her sister.

Once she had gotten the two at a distance, she stepped in front of them, her olive eyes intense despite their half-lidded position. The storm was still going, making electricity crackle along her spine, accompanying the anger that just seemed to boil beneath the surface. “Go to Sunspots,” she called to the two she-cats, “this will be the last you see of her. We will bury her, but do not wrongfully attack someone in her name. Both of our sides have lost someone. Maintain the peace, in honor for the deceased.”

She held their eyes for a moment, making sure there would be no other outbreak before she turned to the DuskClan patrol, chest lifting with a heavy breath. “What do you know?” They were on equal ground at this point. Perhaps not in territory, but in sorrow. It was never easy to lose Clan cat, and perhaps they could all benefit from understanding what had caused this.

She doesn't like dead cats being found no matter what the clan is. She is worried about everyone from both clans because of what happened. she is also afraid war may happen. She is a newly turned warrior she is ready to fight if need be but she doesn't want to fight.

Sootpaw's eyes flew open at the sudden voice. Looking up from where he was resting just within the entrance of the apprentice den, he saw that the cat who had spoken to him was Amberflash. The tortoiseshell cat seemed surprisingly upbeat despite the wind and the rain, and Sootpaw couldn't help but feel a flicker of anger. However, he reminded himself that the she-cat had no knowledge of what had happened and it just wasn't fair to be upset with her. The tom wasn't sure how to answer the warrior. He didn't really want to talk about it, he just wanted everyone to come back soon. They had been out for quite a while, and he wondered if they were having difficulties moving the body because of the rain. "Cherrysong is dead", he said bluntly. "Blackstar, Owlfeather, Weaselflight, and Redeye are bringing her back from River Stones." he continued, quickly adding, "And no, I don't know how it happened." Sootpaw wanted to say that right off, hoping there wouldn't be any questions for him about the subject.
He then looked quizzically at Amberflash. "What are you doing out in the rain, anyhow?" Normally, he wouldn't talk to many warriors this way, but Amberflash had only just received her warrior name recently and it was a bit hard to get used to.

Bluepaw|DawnClan Apprentice| 8 moons old| Blue-grey she-cat| Camp| Mentions:OPEN
____________
Bluepaw padded back into camp. She lifted her tail in greeting to the other cats in camp. Her fur fluffed up as another gust of wind caused her to shiver. Her paws skimmed the ground as she padded towards the main group of cats. Bluepaw settled down near the cats.

(can you add my mentor please? no rush ^^)

Umbraclaw|Dawnclaw Deputy|Mollie|Location: River Rocks|Mentions: Foxpaw, Larkclaw, Scorchwing, Flamepaw Red Eye, Weaselflight

As the rest of the patrol group moved ahead to follow the tracks, Umbraclaw would choose to climb up a tree to get a good vantage point of the surrounding area. While the mist would make it impossible to notice small things, she should still be able to notice larger things like potential Duskclan cats that could be in the area. In fact she would indeed spot the silhouettes of three unknown cats. The deputy would call out a warning, but it would likely go unnoticed thanks to the discovery of Sunspot's body.

At this, she could curse under her breath and quickly began to climb down as fast as she could safely manage. Yet no matter what the circumstances, climbing down always took longer then climbing up and the last thing Dawnclan needed was an injured deputy because she acted recklessly. As an result she wouldn't be back on the ground until after Scorchwing had safely recovered her apprentice.

However the moment her feet touched the ground, she would race forward like a black blur to get between the two groups. Once there, she would first direction her attention to the two apprentices and Larkclaw. "Larkclaw, help Foxpaw and Flamepaw get Sunspot back to camp. Help them to perform this final act of love for their mother and then report to Gingerstar. As for you two, I also lost my mother when I was little older then you both are now so I know what you are feeling. When I I get back to camp, please come talk to me if you so desire." Her tone was sympathetic, but firm as this was no place for two emotional apprentices. Foxpaw had already attacked the Duskclan cats with her sister also coming close to doing so as well. Their actions would easily provoke a battle which was the last thing they needed. While her order was technically breaking Gingerstar's, the apprentices would ultimately be much safer with one warrior, then they would be here. She also knew that Foxpaw was likely going to be enraged with her over this to the point that she may no longer be able to effectively mentor the little mollie anymore.

After issuing her order for the apprentices, she would turn her attention to the Duskclan cats, Owlfeather in particular. "Permission to approach? You said that you also lost one of your own here and I would like to smell where their body was for confirmation since their body has already been moved. It would be good to get the facts straight after all." The Deputies tone was calm and polite as she knew that accusing the other clan of lying wasn't going to get them anywhere. If they had truly lost one of their own as they claimed, then she should be able to smell it and thus prove their story.

Though she also had an ulterior motive for wanting to approach the Duskclan. Foxpaw had attacked them and could have been seriously injured or worse by them. Yet they had ultimately been rather gentle with her and left her rather unscathed. So she wished to thank them, but also do so without the two apprentices hearing. Thus if she was permitted to approach, she would take advantage of it to quietly whisper to them. "Thank you for your restraint to our apprentices as the fallen cat was their mother." The black mollie would do this without breaking her stride and while keeping a completely passive face as she didn't want this action to be noticed by the rest of her clan. After all the other clan was still under serious suspicious for the death of Mousefur so they likely wouldn't appreciate what she did. However now was the time to be diplomatic and sometimes meant making unpopular decisions.
