I prefer 10%.
5% is a bit extreme, 15% is a little high. 1/10 chance sounds decent to me.

At this rate I think DU’s will almost die out a bit since most people who spend money wisely would choose Pon I guess over a DU.

I am using my DU for something else, a few things actually but the fact I probably won't be getting another bums me out that I payed 80 GB when they first came out because I was under the impression I could get more myself with a 25% chance using lion scrot. If this was the odds before I probably wouldn't even had bothered- and breed more naturally you say? CRB? Those odds were dropped too for DUs. And given it was already rare naturally I can only imagine what they dropped it to.

I spent a fortune on my DUs. 40+ CRBs (between two accounts) to get the first girl, then Buffy Balls + Lion Balls + Great Tit for each successive litter. It was already getting to the point where I debated selling some of them, because it costs around 50 GB to breed a litter, and the DU cubs were only selling for about 45 GB. But it was still profitable until this update, because I usually got 2-3 DU cubs in a litter. I'd be fine with getting 1 DU cub in a litter. But 5% chance, WITH Lion Balls, means only 1 in 20 cubs will be DU. So I'd have to breed AT LEAST 3 litters of DUs to get just one...i.e. around 150 GB for one DU cub. I wouldn't have invested this kind of money if I had known they would be harder to breed than Leopons. Alternate solution, if 15% is too high (though I don't personally think it is) -- make it 10% with Lion Balls, and make DU naturally passable (5% chance) just like Leopon. That would keep them rare but not destroy our investments.

To be honest, I'd prefer to see Lion Balls be nerfed to 10 or 15% across the board, rather than have DU be an exception. But like CALA said, we haven't yet seen the results of this nerf yet, and DU is very new. I'll be interested to see how things change, but have no solid opinion either way.

We have other muties that pass at 5% naturally, we can predict the outcome. Lion Scrotes are expensive and likely many DU breedings will go without trying for them at all, which means the 5% chance doesn't even matter in those situations.

I've all but stopped all my DU breedings. There is absolutely no reason breeding a DU should be 5%. Especially with how much breeding items like Lion Balls and Buffy Scrotes are in the market. Even with breeding DUs you'd have to breed more than 2 just to recoup your money for the litter. If the pass rate is 5% I don't understand why the mutation isn't just made to be naturally passing like OG Fur, Piebald, or Leopons. We shouldn't have to waste money on a lion scrote for a natural pass rate.

I'm all for the Lion Scrotums being nerfed across the board, or DUs having a 5% natural pass rate. But honestly, treating the staff like they're idiots probably isn't making them want to rush to fix it. Sometimes things slip peoples' minds - these scenarios only seem obvious to you because the scenario applies to you.

That’s very true boulder. I feel bad for the mods, artists, and admins because they are being treated so badly rn :( A lot of complaints about leaving the site, how horrible the news was, etc. It’s unfortunate how they are being treated.

If the moderators don't want to be spoken derisively about they need to stop pulling crap like this. They shit all over DU breeders with no warning, Kiman breeders (and likely future mandarin breeders), with no warning.

They deserve every complaint because they did something wrong. Stop coddling them.

yeah, can someone explain the kiman tank to me? what was the point in doing that? i thought it already had a super low pass rate if the kiman being bred wasn't a leopon, why lower it even more?

I've been monitoring DU trades and it's kinda funny the update kinda had the opposite effect... it seems they aren't getting bought out as much anymore and also the number on the mutation counter has only gone up by one (I think) since the update... the nerf was definitely overkill lol
