We are aware of some issues that the community has been voicing with the raffle lioness system, with some complaints including it being difficult to pass on raffle-exclusive traits, raffle lionesses going to inactive accounts, and so on. We have had our own discussion among the developers and would now like to present a discussion where the community can provide feedback on the ideas we have outlined below regarding how the system can be modified, and possibly even give their own ideas if they aren't already covered.

We will be closely monitoring this topic to record feedback, which we will then use for an upcoming site poll.


New Features Being Implemented

We have some features that will be added regardless of feedback within a future update:

New Features We May Implement


* Adjusting the raffle lioness system so that only players who have been active in the last two days (so Wednesdays onward) will have a chance to win when the raffle lioness is pulled
* Sending an email notification to the player who won the weekly raffle lioness


New Features We're Considering/Discussing

These are features we have had ideas for, or have found in the Game Development forums, and would like to see which of the following would be most preferred.

** 1. Storing raffle lioness designs and releasing them slowly through explore.
Essentially, this would mean creating multiple copies of the same raffle lioness to be slow-dripped into the game through the claiming system. They would work as chased lionesses, so only kings with Average impression or higher could find them. This would likely come with a failsafe so that if the lioness fails to be claimed, she goes back into the chased pool so another player has a chance to claim her. All raffle lionesses are made with the Nurturing (Good) personality, so raffle lionesses released through the claiming system would display the Good pose.

The first week, Raffle Lioness 1 is pulled and sent to the winner, and Raffle Lioness 2 is put up to be impressed. The second week, Raffle Lioness 2 is pulled and sent to the winner, Raffle Lioness 3 is put up to be impressed, and a clone of Raffle Lioness 1 is put into the chased lioness pool in explore. The third week, Raffle Lioness 3 is pulled and sent to the winner, Raffle Lioness 4 is put up to be impressed, and clones of Raffle Lionesses 1 and 2 are put into the chased pool in explore. This repeats up to a maximum of 9 clones, making for 10 total lionesses with the same design.

** 2. Releasing an identical replica raffle stud alongside a raffle lioness.
The stud would have the exact same traits as the raffle lioness, but rather than being delivered to a winner's territory, a select amount of players (between 20-50) would win the ability to breed with him. This would work similarly to August's event studs in that items could not be used on the stud for breeding. We also considered, if implementing replica studs, to allow all players to enter for a chance to win a stud breeding, but lock weekly raffle lionesses so that only accounts that have 365 or more total rollovers (not consecutive) would be eligible to try and impress her.


** 3. Implementing raffle studs in general.
An alternative to releasing an identical replica raffle stud would be releasing a raffle stud alongside a raffle lioness who may share similar traits, e.g. if a raffle lioness is releasing a brand new eye colour, the raffle stud that week would have that eye colour as well, or if she is releasing a brand new raffle marking, the raffle stud that week would have that marking as well (either in the same slot, or a different slot). Breedings to this stud would also be limited to 20-50 players weekly, and items would not be allowed. This would also come with all players being able to enter for a chance to win a stud breeding, but locking weekly raffle lionesses so that only accounts that have 365 or more total rollovers (not consecutive) would be eligible to try and impress her.


** 4. Releasing more than one raffle lioness per week.
This would either be multiple identical copies of the same raffle lioness, or up to 3 different raffle lionesses at once who would share some of the same traits, but not be identical.


** 5. Releasing recreated copies of previous raffle lionesses who are on banned/closed accounts.
This would be making a replica of the raffle lioness to raffle off through the official raffle system. The original raffle lioness would stay on the same account. This is specifically only for permanently suspended accounts, and accounts that have been closed—not inactive accounts that are not suspended/closed.


** 6. Allow the weekly raffle lioness to be impressed daily instead of once weekly for higher chances of winning, therefore rewarding more active players.
The weekly raffle lioness would still be available for a full week as usual, but daily impression attempts will add up and give a greater chance at winning her as compared to only one attempt per week (how it currently works).


** 7. Add a second raffle lioness for players who have rolled over at least 365 times in total (not consecutively), with potentially more unique traits than a standard Dreamboat raffle lioness.
Players who have rolled over 365 or more times would have the ability to impress both the standard Dreamboat raffle lioness, as well as a second raffle lioness that is only available to accounts with 365+ total rollovers.





We may mix-and-match some of the options, but we will be polling the community on these options regardless.

I honestly don't really participate in all this RL stuff, and its partially because it is very hard to work with them since they are so valued and rare. this would make it more accesible for me and other players that have not been playing for a long time yet, but also, it takes away their value. And reading the comments, this is really just neutral for me in the end. Maybe someone will agree with me?

I like #2 and or #3 Raffle Studs but with a delay in release to give the Raffle Lioness Winner time to decide what they want to do, make a little profit off their new lioness and her traits.

Week 1: New Raffle Lioness + Clone Stud of Earlier Raffle Lioness.
Week 2: New Raffle Lioness + Clone Stud of Earlier Raffle Lioness.
Week 3: New Raffle Lioness + Clone Stud of Earlier Raffle Lioness.
Week 4: New Raffle Lioness + Clone Stud of Week 1 Raffle Lioness.
Week 5: New Raffle Lioness + Clone Stud of Week 2 Raffle Lioness.
And so on.

The 2 day rolling, sounds like a scam, if peoppe wont make it on time they lise thier chanse and sb, hard no for me.


1. This would be a pure pay to win feature.
People with tons of gb and lot of time would be able to buy energy boosts like crazy and explore all day.
While the people who work and dont have much gb will get punished hard by this explore feature.

As alternative, i would say release for Dreamboat kings some ncl with 3-5 of the rl traits.
This way the winner keeps the unique lioness they won but her traits will be spread.

3. Unique raffle studs sound like a nice idea for breeding projects.

4.this maby is an cool option maby 2 a week.

5. And 6. I would say onky accounts who are banned or inactive for iver 2 years.

But overal. Please dont make lioden a pay to win game, because some options are very much this.
Also dont punish your players who have bussen lives.

For example februari event people get warned actions will be made if lioden sees people risk thier health of playing to much, while the forced RO and release ncl rl will get the same effect.

I'm surprised that many are against the first idea because many think that only rich players will get such RLs. Perhaps no one remembers how people spent 200 GB to meet at least one encounter in explore from the Jaglions quest, and didn't find it, of course, this is a completely different matter, but the chances are random, so history is more likely to repeat itself.

Here again, everything depends on luck, because you never know whether you will get an RL or not, it's like with chased NCLs, someone will be luckier, and others will be unlucky. We don't even know the probable chances of this. Those who have the opportunity to spend money and time - go ahead, but this doesn't mean that they will get what they want. But this is their decision, because they have such an opportunity. And complaining that many people have this opportunity, but not you, is somehow strange... (I can at least understand other reasons against this idea, but not this one)

The second complaint from many, where free time/busy life/etc is mentioned, now there is a system of 1 RL for 8000+ accounts, where it is unrealistic to get anything at all, and here an alternative option for obtaining RL is offered, if you can’t find it in the explore - there will be an opportunity to buy it at a reasonable price (which is also good), so that this will even benefit those who don't devote all their time to the game, but will be able to acquire a certain trait of RL, either through raffle stud or through NCL.

I do really think the explore option is terrible because it just has too many of the same RLs. They are bound to not be worth the cost of cloning if there's already 10 RLs of any given design.

Moreover you are going to have rich players getting them far more often then newbies, so it is a system that really just screws the market with little foresight to what that might mean for the future playability of Lioden itself.

Theres a lot in this post so I kinda wanna break it down one by one goin down the list on how I feel about each feature bein talking about and how I think it'll effect the game. Despite playin for awhile, I'm not as well education on some of the game mechanics, so I apologize in advance for any miscommunication or incorrect assumptions of how things work. That bein said, lets begin.

#... .5 i guess? I like the idea of sendin an email to the winner, but i dislike the idea of ONLY the winner pool bein people active from wednesday onward. I think this defeats the purpose of (later mentioned) feature 6. Why bother to log in everyday for an extra boost in your chances if you miss wednesday and thursday- you'd be out of the runnin all because your REAL life things you had to do effected the game. This is, quite frankly put, incredibly pointless and stupid.

#1. Firstly, I wanna start this with the biggest and arguably the most controversial thing in this post. I personally don't thing there should be duplicates of the same raffle lioness- ESPECIALLY 9 of them- as this defeats the purpose behind the raffle. RLs are highly sought after since they're not only gorgeous, but they also often carry the newest markins, bases, eyes, etc. Sendin a bunch of clones of a single RL defeat the individuality and creativity that makes up Lioden. Its always a joy to see the incredible or interesting designs of the lionesses, and them bein so uniquely themselves is the best part about it. There will NEVER be another GEN1 lioness that looks exactly like them. It makes so many chased lionesses amazin too!

Additionally, I wanna bring up the fact that if these lionesses got introduced like this into the claim pool, it would make it EXPONENTIALLY less of a thrill to win. Winning a RL is such an insanely slim chance, that even gettin a HYBRID is more common than it. If you claimed a RL in explore, it would flip the switch and make Hybrids a rarer thing to obtain which is kind of insane considerin the massive amount of them on this website. I truly think this feature would not only damage the lioden market, but also cause a lack of interest and desire to continue to play in some players due to the fact some things that once seemed so rare and special now seem common and lackluster.

On top of all of this, there could always be that lucky person who claims multiple RLs somehow! We don't know what random lioness it'll give us from the pool when we click "claim". Theres been times I've personally gotten 3 gorgeous chased lionesses back to back. This could happen with people especially considerin the fact that 10 RL copies will be in the claim pool at a time!!

#2/3. Releasing an identical replica stud who shares traits of the RL would be a fun way to try to breed for some of the traits the RL may have that are new or sought after. I think giving this chance to 20-50 people who enter is an amazin way to spread these traits around lioden quicker in a way that wont entirely DESTROY the RL system that is in place now as it isn't always guaranteed a feature may pass. I don't agree with the fact that IF this were implemented, there would be a chance RLs would be locked behind a 365 rollover rule- while I think this IS a way to encourage people to play more consistently, I also think its horribly unfair to the many people joinin the game brand new who want a chance at a pretty lioness too. You already have to work your way up to dreamboat status- there shouldn't be another requirement

#4. This is an amazin idea honestly, maybe doing it every two days! My long message about rule #1 already shows how much I dislike the idea of carbon copies of a RL bein released, but if they were lionesses that looked different but shared the same traits, it'd be a nice way to keep everyone unique in their own right. Releasin multiple RLs like this a week would kind of be like they're sisters!

#5. This, again, is a wonderful idea! Lots of lovely RLs are stuck in limbo because of banned or closed accounts. It sucks that if you really happen to like a RL but they're in a pride like this, you cant ever breed to them- EVER!! I do like the fact that this would NOT apply to inactive accounts as I think inactivity doesnt justify takin someones win away from them. We have no clue what is goin on behind the screens and whoever won the RL shouldn't be punished for not playin the game like they have before.

#6/7. While this may sound contradictory to some of my statements, I think 6 and 7 are an AMAZINGGGG idea!! These two features would encourage not only more players to play consistently, but also reward the players who are dedicated to the game without punishin newer players! New players can still participate in the normal RL and have the boosted advantage if they log in each rollover, and older players (whilst havin this same advantage) would have a special area to themselves like a reward for workin so hard. I know I personally would try to log in every day as a new player if these were implemented into the game. They just make the RLs that much more special, and if i saw one with more unique traits, I'd strive to log in every day- mmmaaybe with a little jealousy.

To sum up my thoughts, features 6 and 7 have a lot of potential to do good and benefit the game a lot in terms of consistency in activity and fairness to older and newer parties to the game. While I do like the things features 4 and 5 spoke about, I think there needs to be some ironin out to do to make everythin smoother and more fair. I do hate to see the drama behind the RLs come to this but there is a change that needs to be made.

I have never felt the need to post on a news topic before but want to put my view in regardless if it is seen or not.

1. I do not agree with this, the whole magic with the raffle lioness is that it unique to the person who won it, there is no other lioness like it until it is cloned and even then it is the only G1 version out there. Yes it is a game but in my viewpoint you just won a piece of art, because that is what they are, artwork by a talented creator. There is very little that holds value in this game anymore so why take away the value of Raffle Lionesses? Besides, in the grand scheme of things most people don't hoard their raffle lionesses, they may be released slowly and it may take awhile to afford a specific one but it is something to work towards in the game! What is the fun if everyone is on equal footing right from the get go? Why the heck would you stay and continue playing if the is no goal to aim towards? This is coming from someone who has been on since early 2013.

2. This option I could get on board with BUT the stud would need to be slightly different than the RL. Say the RL has a brand new marking, the stud could have that marking but on a different slot. Also the stud could have a few different regular BO traits than the lioness, still BO traits though. I don't particularly agree with the 365 day term though, I would rather see #7 combined with this so everyone has a chance at one of the RL's and only 365 day players have a chance at a second RL.

3. I guess this is exactly what I was talking about in the previous paragraph, so I could totally support this being implemented. If it helps players get those certain marks they desire without devaluing the Raffle Lioness herself, then it sounds like a good middle ground to me.

4. This one I am not so keen on, once again it takes away the sense of 'winning' especially if combined with the studs and #7. That is just my personal feelings though and I know many feel very differently.

5. Yes, yes and more yes. If the account is 100% never coming back online then those Raffle Lionesses deserve to be released again, perhaps they could be the chased NCL's or even the Raffle Lionesses for the seasoned player's raffles. As long as it is made sure the Raffle lionesses aren't just temporarily in frozen accounts so that the owner can breed them when they have the funds and/or items to.

6. This one I am pretty neutral on, I could go either way but I do understand it would be harder for newer players to come up with the funds to impress everyday.

7. I love this idea! Once again it gives players a reason to keep playing for years to come without excluding new players as they would still have access to a RL raffle. What about for this Raffle Lioness you could have the option of impressing everyday?

I like the first option to try and prevent people gatekeeping new stuff released on RLs, but I feel like it'd promote people spending endless amounts of gb on exploring to find it over others that can't afford it

others say there shouldn't be more than one, but they almost always end up getting cloned anyways.

I appreciate the attempts to make these things more accessible

This news seems to be focused more on the raffle lionesses, fair enough. I certainly like the idea of a raffle stud and getting a notification if you win the raffle but releasing replicas i'm not so sure on, isn't the point of the RL supposed to be that she's unique?
Also, releasing them through explore ties into this point that the RL would no longer be unique, and why participate in the raffle if you can just, find her in explore a while later?

im genuinely the biggest hater of everything ever so i wasn’t surprised when i read the first few sentences and decided i was going to be a hater of this to.

I feel like this is going to ruin the market of rl’s and rlc’s.
i don’t see it not in any way.

i like the idea of one person winning that lioness and deciding what to do with it, my biggest bug bearer would be if someone else can just get an exact copy of the clone you won fair and square, worked hard to breed and take care of and then distribute that clone everywhere across site making your rl go down in value.
i feel like this would also only start arguments over players who receive a copy of a rl from a private line and then start selling out the line without respecting the original line owners wishes to keep it private.

the two day rollover is so frustrating for players that have lives outside of lioden (family, jobs, ect) who can’t manage rolling over on an account every day. it seems completely unfair.
on the topic of unfair, being able to enter the raffle more than once per account seems so unnecessary? people may not be able to afford the sb price of entering everyday as opposed to the 50sb and then you’re in and guaranteed a chance. if you enter every day but forget to ro on the final 2 then that’s just a waste of gb. do you get that sb you spent refunded or is it wasted?

how would the ncl system even work? how would you end up knowing what the rl is going to look like in the end or if the markings on the ncl belong to the rl and not just some chased lioness from a kings pride? i feel like there’s so many it’s and but’s about this and it seems like such an effort that would once again only destroy the marking and make bo traits lose their value. i would prefer this effort gone into giving ncl more special based or ncl exclusive skins than mixing in rl traits.

the price of maintains a rl line is thousands of gb and the price to get a clone is justified by the work put in to get one.

the studding seems interesting but would it be an exact copy of the rl that’s or would it be like the august studs? eg, a select couple of studs that cycle throughout the month over an exact replica of the female stud of the week. i feel like if the stud were to have the exact traits as its female counterpart it would take away from the excitement of owning new traits when they’ve already been leaked from people stuffing to this replica stud.

i believe the rl system is fine the way it is, it didn’t need a rework and a lot of the new features are overkill on a system that’s worked fine for the past years.

come at me if you want, no one’s changing my mind.

I totally understand that, but when 6600 players are attempting to impress the raffle lionesses every week, the chance to get one is so low... Even if someone would decide to give one rl to every unique player each week, it would take an impossible amount of time for everyone to get one. That's why I think that ideas to increase amount of raffle lionesses or to increase chances to get one are needed

Ooh I like option 3! Option 7 feels like it would be a nice way to reward long-time players, as well. I also dig option 5 as a way to reintroduce potentially dead markings from closed accounts!

I do feel like a big drawing point of RCLs is their rarity so I'm not so sure about option 1- I think I'd be a little bit discouraged if I won a raffle lioness and then saw exact clones of it around a couple of weeks later since I (personally) see them as a "wee this new one of a kind thing is mine how exciting!" deal. Would it be worth considering releasing a set amount of NCLs with a handful of traits from a new RCL instead? I feel like that would help retain the rare vibe of a raffle lioness while also encouraging us to explore for any new traits we'd want in our prides!

Might as well add on here, I support ideas 7, 6, and 4. With 4, having raffle lionesses with some of the same markings but not multiple of the same lioness. I highly dislike the idea of having 10 that will be chased lionesses that are completely clones. Perhaps, if that idea comes, the chased raffle lionesses can have between 1-3 traits that the raffle lioness has to help spread the markings? Such as having 1 chased rl with the base and a marking. And then another with 2 markings, and then another with the eyes and another marking?
