Sundari She gazed at the strange dragon for a while before turning to look at Mika. What had he asked? It took her another while to reply, having lost his question while observing the feathered dragon standing by the entrance of the dining hall. Of course, her staring wasn't known by only her. Ulalie growled lowly, not liking the thought of her rider paying attention to a dragon other than her. Sundari glanced up with a slight smirk, and then down again to look at Mika beside her. "Not very many, but a decent about I suppose. Most were either younger or older; there weren't many children my age at the village we lived in. Not many girls either. Most of them were sent away to school in the larger towns or cities, but I stayed because I had Ulalie," She said, reaching a hand up to set on the dragon's scaly neck. Instantly, the purple dragon shifted back, letting out a jealous snort. Sundry laughed and looked again at the feathered dragon at the entrance, where another elf had appeared beside it. She turned to Mika and then Thelduin, as if they would explain who she was, but decided to stay quiet; she would likely introduce herself anyway. Thelduin With Kyra's arrival, he gave a smile. It was about time, although he should just be glad she showed up at all. She had never been a people person, especially when it came to new riders at the glacier. As he recalled her saying, they were "the most inconsiderate, egotistical, little brats who think they know everything there is to know about being a dragon rider", or something along those lines. Maybe it was him who had said that actually, he thought. He and Kyra had such similar views sometimes, it was hard to differentiate between who said what at times. "It is nice to see you've arrived, Kyra," Thelduin said, rising from his seat to pull out the chair beside him so she could sit. Although she could probably try and make an excuse to leave, he'd find a way to make her stay and be social. Because they were the closest, and because they were the only ones she didn't know already, he turned to Mika and Sundari and decided to introduce them first. "This is Sundari, a human rider from the southern seas. And Ulalie, her dragon," He said, gesturing to the human and dragon pair. Then he turned to Mika and Zyla, "And this pair is Mika and his dragon Zyla. All four of them are new to join our ranks. Actually this is their first night here." 0 players like this post! Like? |

(hahaha Thelduin knows Kyra so well XD i think somewhere along the lines i forgot how to write .____. sorry it's so long ugh i tried to leave it open ended so your characters can say whatever omg this suckssss) Kyra She tried not to roll her eyes at Thelduin's chivalrous gesture: she'd expressed her distaste for his pointless politeness several times, but they were in front of more people than usual so she let it slide. Or he was just trying to trap her here with him, the old "if I'm going down I'm taking you with me" deal. There was nothing to be done, she supposed. Gracefully, she gathered her dress at the sides and sat. "Yes, the kitchens were getting a bit warm," she replied, spreading her lips in a practiced smile. Her companion pointed towards Sundari, the pretty blonde human with a dragon that reminded her of summer wildflowers in her clan's glade. She nodded politely towards both the girl and the dragon. When Mika was introduced, though... Oh, no... Her heart beat faster--she hadn't really thought this out too well. So much for not wanting a scene. Mika was sure to freak out once he realized it was her. The only thing that kept her from bolting was Aion's steady presence in her mind as he trotted over to her side. Mika "It's funny how dragons tend to replace the companionship of our kin..." he said lightly, throwing another lopsided smile in Sundari's direction when Zyla huffed. He once more reached for the custard, this time plopping some onto his plate. With his body faced toward the food, he failed to notice the elf that approached the table. His cheeks were plump with a huge bite of the dessert when he heard Thelduin mention his and Zyla's names; he turned reflexively...and almost spat out his mouthful. "Kyra?!" Mika exclaimed after he gulped down the custard, voice rising in pitch with surprise. Several people stopped what they were doing to look over at him, but he didn't care. In one fluid motion he stood, strode over to where she sat, and wrapped his arms around her in a famous bear hug. "How are you even here? This is so crazy!" Was this just the weirdest coincidence that had ever happened to anyone? He laughed and backed off, but crouched down next to her chair. "Are you a Rider? Where's your dragon? Do Mother and Father kn--" He stopped talking when he realized the expression on her face--somewhere between rage and betrayal. "Kyra..." he said softly. She clearly hadn't forgotten the fight they'd had the night before he left. Neither had he, but he'd hoped that when he saw her again she would at least be less cold. Instead, she was avoiding his gaze and glaring balefully towards the exit. Mika? Zyla's voice was gentle in his mind, equal parts curious and concerned. He shook his head and huffed a wry laugh. No sense in making the others feel awkward; he and Kyra could settle this later. "She knows me--she's my little sister!" he said with a grin as he rose back to full height. Although she would probably kill him later, he rumpled her hair. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(pfft it's better than half the things I've been posting lately xD Oooh some drama's about to go down) Sundari She smiled, observing the strangely beautiful elf just across from her as Thelduin introduced them. It was strange, she thought. If she didn't know any better, she'd say she looked like Mika. However, she didn't really know Mika well enough. Perhaps it was just coincidence that she thought they looked alike. After all, he was the first elf she'd ever met. Casting a small glance between him, Thelduin, and Kyra, she had to admit they all shared similar features. But, Thelduin didn't look as much alike as the two of them did. Perhaps it was because he was a different race of elf, she guessed, although she really had no clue about their kind's heritage. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Kyra," She said, nodding her head in hello to the elf. While she knew they had customs, neither Mika nor Thelduin seemed to have demonstrated them upon meeting her, so she hoped this new elf wouldn't mind the classic old Human "smile and nod" greeting. Thelduin It made sense that the two of them were siblings. He thought that Mika reminded him of someone, but it wasn't until he was able to see both of them standing next to each other that the true resemblance came out. They really did look alike, and he was surprised that he didn't catch it before, considering he'd known Kyra the longest out of anyone at the glacier. The two seemed to rejoice in each other's presence. Or, at least Mika did, but he had never known Kyra one to get overly excited. However, the expression on Kyra's face seemed to offset the excitement in the room for a small second. He'd seen her upset before, however not quite like this. He was half-tempted to reach his mind out and ask her if she was okay, however decided it was best to wait and see how the interaction took course. "So, you have a big brother?" He asked, giving a small grin. While he was genuinely concerned for his friend, he wouldn't pass up the chance to tease her, since she took every chance she had to do the same to him. "I've traveled with you this long Mika, I'm surprised I didn't see the resemblance between you two. How long have you two been apart from one another?" 0 players like this post! Like? |
