------------------------------------------------------- The World -------------------------------------------------------
In a supernatural-dominated world, The United States had the most lax regulations on supernatural beings, causing most pure humans to have left for countries with stricter policies, such as Canada, which is human-only. In this world supernatural beings are known and have been a big part of history. Some countries (Most of eastern Europe) treat supernaturals as little better than animals, others have them as slaves (Africa), and others still regulate them like criminals, and lock them up for simply being born with certain powers (Western europe). Canada, of course, is a refuge for the puritans who believe humans are the superior species, and does not allow supernaturals within their borders.

My character Avery runs a supernatural medical centre in Central City, Colorado. He has been around for quite a while, and had money to spare, so he founded the centre with help of his friend's hoard. It's a open, spacious building with adaptations for all manner of creatures. Avery often goes on runs to other countries to save supernatural beings in deplorable situations, with input from Steven, an unknown being with a third eye and the ability to see anything, anywhere in the world. Steven was dropped off by an interdimensional rift in Miami, one of the most active areas for random supernatural activity. Avery often goes undercover as human on these runs, and risks his life and freedom. (Ideally I would like a team here) He brings back as many supernaturals as he can, and rehabilitates them in the centre. There is a team of healers and counselors at the centre as well, but he feels personally responsible for many of the people he brings back.

The friend mentioned earlier is a dragon.

------------------------------------------------------- The Centre -------------------------------------------------------
The Center is like a combination of Doctors Without Borders and the Mayo Clinic in this world, so any other place would have their own places- plus there are healers who can deal with most things in their town.

So, location wise, I was thinking Salida, but logistically it would have to be somewhere like Central City, which is what I am going with. That's an hour's drive from Denver International Airport. All observations are from the road. There are portals, which take people to the centre and back.

The centre is comprised of four buildings connected by tunnels- a skywalk and an underground tunnels- one filled with water so the creatures more comfortable in water can swim between the buildings should they choose. The buildings are connected because of the harsh winters.

The buildings are arranged in an arc around the parking lot, with a small airstrip to the left of the buildings. the building closest to the airstrip is for international patients- those brought by Avery seeking asylum. (There is a lot of paperwork Avery [read: Avery's friend Leo] does to allow that.) The first two floors of building closest to the road is for general patients- the clinic. The two buildings in between have different specialties- One building is for intense healing: Trauma, Oncology, Neuropathology, the like. The other is more mentally oriented, they deal with depression, anxiety, multiple personality disorder, and any number of other mental issues, and are open twenty four hours a day and see - at last count- over one hundred patients a day.

The building for international patients is somewhat of a mystery, no visitors aside from direct family are allowed and then they are usually not allowed past designated meeting rooms. There is another associated building in Denver itself that helps international patients get back on their feet in a completely different social structure. Any people who work there are carefully screened, and those who quit or retire are often bound under memory charms that are meant to protect patients and the supernaturals who work to help them.

The doctors are a mix of healers and those with no healing power, but they all are trained.

The buildings are all constructed with scent neutralizers, so as not to overwhelm the patients with enhanced senses- it can be a little disorienting, as the walls seem to absorb scents.

Those are the technical details- now for the visual description.

Driving up, there is very little to see on the highway, except the mountains trees, and snow, driving into the large parking lot there is a lot set aside for ambulances and trauma, just between the intense healing building and it's sister area in the clinic. A few doctors take shifts in the clinic trauma centre on a rotating basis. The other three buildings are respectively, five stories for international, four for intensive healing, and four for mental health. the buildings all look like a cross between grecian and modern architecture, supported by pillars. I can do descriptions for the second and third buildings if you need, but here's hoping we won't have much set in there.

In central Denver, Upper East Side New York, and Los Angeles, there is a white building with a green cross on the front, and a tiled entryway with one person manning a desk. Just inside the door a portal shows the main lobby, with flashes of light flickering around the edges of the image. passing through the portal would feel like putting your hand in jello, but your entire body.

Walking into (or being deposited by a portal into) the clinic building, you are greeted by a wide, open area five floors high, with balconies at each floor. There is a blue glass dome ceiling, letting the natural light in and refracting it. The building inside is white and grey, with Grecian style architecture. Pillars support each floor, each with a sconce that lights up as night falls. There are stairs to each floor, as well as elevators. To the right of the entrance is the waiting area, filled with comfortable chairs of various colors, and a small, set in pool that connects to the other buildings. Straight back is the general medicine, and to the left is injury and trauma. The clinic itself is about equal in capability to a hospital. The balcony above is lined with rooms- patients who made appointments are often seen there. Above that are the offices that keep the centre running, with scheduling and the like.

------------------------------------------------------- Species -------------------------------------------------------
Species in this world can be anything- even species with the same name can be different. For example, there could be werewolves that perpetually have wolf features and must turn on the full moon, or human-appearing werewolves that are only tempted to turn on the full moon, or anywhere in between.

I have a few species worked out, for which the rules will never change:

Changelings are the product of Fey Magic encountering a growing human soul. The more magic involved the more powerful the changeling will be. Modern genetic testing has proven that the changelings are genetically purely human, with any enhanced characteristics being the product of their magical influence.

Faeries (Seelie) are the only species no longer found anywhere on earth. originally they lived in a separate realm and travelled back and forth between their home, and this world. Political issues arose, and the seelie sealed themselves off somewhere around the 1700's

Dragons ; It is said they are as old as the earth and will die when it does. They used to be one, a hundred-headed dragon, each head with their own mind, named Ladon, but after failing to protect the tree of immortality, they were split in to a hundred different dragons. The main head, was cursed by the gods to be unable to interact with any of the other heads. Dragons cannot be killed. Ladon- the main head- knows this firsthand. The first few hundred years after he was separated he spent trying to die- until Avery got ahold of him. They meet up every few years for things now, and he was the one to help Avery found the Centre. So, dragons are always white, except Ladon, who has a red crest on his head. Ladon protests both their classification with the Eastern Ryuu and the Western Drako, preferring to be called a "Helenistic Drake"

Leo

Leo laughed brightly, smiling and resisting the urge to ruffle Ari's hair around his canid ears. He was loosening up, smiling as he gave in to enjoying the carving, and took ahold of Ari's hand, placing it in the center of the crescent moon. "Don't worry, I won't give you anything you can't handle." He traced a line around the edge of the crescent moon with human fingers, before flicking his claws out again. "See how my claws have the sharp curve and thin tips? That makes them good for detail work like the vines, but all the edges are horribly sharp. I was figuring for the moon we could use your wider, blunter claws to smooth the edges and make it appear softer, like this-" With that last bit he drew Ari's index claw around the outer edge in one smooth movement, a curl of soft pine wood dropping to the floor. The rounded edge suited the subject much better, and Leo looked back at Ari with a bright smile as he let go. "See?"

Avery

Avery kept a light touch on Andrea's mind as they watched, and made a note to teach him how to shield later- or at least give him a way to say Get Out Of My Head. The duet was lovely, and Avery wanted to hum along but refrained- he didn't like to sing unless he had a reason. It pained him a little to feel how unsure his apprentice was, but he wasn't exactly comfortable yet either. It would take time.

However, Avery could not supress a snort at the observation Red didn't seem clean. He shook his head in leiu of an answer though, privately thinking If he is, than so am I. I just hide it better.

Curiosity sparked as Avery entered the hallway to see Leo carving the door to the spare room with a shifter he had never met before. He tilted his head, before doing the telepathic version of a question mark. Leo, should I know this young man? He asked, and Leo barely reacted, opening up his memories of the past few hours.

Leo

Stray. Need to talk to Dad. Runner? Leo kept his projection short, before mercilessly kicking Avery out of his head. One of the things you learn rom having a telepath father: How to make excellent mental defenses.

Avery

Avery hummed, looking over the carving, smiling with pride as he saw how well they were doing. "Finding more inventive solutions than braille, I see?" He spoke neither loudly or softly, exactly what was needed to get their attention. He looked at Andrea, who was still hiding under his wing. "They are carving the door to your room so you will know which one is yours." He explained softly.

Steve

Steve broke down in matching laughter, knowing there was no way he could keep level. He was just a bad flirt. And apparently so was Nehema. He took a second to regain composure, interested by her flames but determined to answer her. It was nice to see her lose the wariness, and smile.

"Ladon was born in the mythic times of Ancient Greece, and Avery lived there for centuries. Avery is the telepath out of them, but I am sure they would both love to meet someone else who remembers." Steve honestly wouldn't be surprised if they had met somewhere along the way. "But I think they are both busy at this exact moment. We could always go bug them though."

(Sorry so short)

Andrea

"Oh." Andrea blinked, his eyebrows rounding up in steep-curved semi ovals before he cracked a smile and followed with a wholehearted "That's actually really cool!" He was expecting some simple, bland brandings in Braille, so this was beyond surprising; also relieving, seeing how he wasn't that great at reading the language of the sightless. He never needed it; too few of the recognized pieces of literature had translations for the blind.

The apprentice's set-back when breaking away from his mentor's embrace was almost strong enough to manifest physical form; but with all that, not enough to make the Caster's face to move even a muscle as to shift expressions. Lead by the wall, the blond scooted toward his roommate and companion to brush his fingers across the masterful carving, getting familiar with a part of the drawing before it was done, just in case its completion took longer than expected. From the seeds of a grin, his face blossomed with a bright encouraging smile as he sent numerous praises to the two artists, even going as far as to call them 'The perfect team'. And yes, he was well-aware that could cause fluster. Why do you even think he said it in the first place?

"Anywho," Andrea cut short his swarm of praise and support, feeling weary, "I bought some of the bare necessities for us, Ari. Um. I think I forgot them in the supply closet though- Er, don't ask about that, I don't have an explanation." The Caster grew brighter in color at the thought, still rather embarassed aboutt the terrible babbling from earlier. And, well, his own presence among other people in general. "I'm going to sleep. If any of you go retrieve them, do not under any circumstance lay your paws on my stash of ichor. It's my lifeline. Okay?"

(i hate this)
(this is terrible)

~ARI~

Letting Leo control the movement of his hand, he tore his gaze away from the other shifter's face rather forcefully. The look of pure happiness that had been placed upon Leo's features had filled him with contented warmth, a smile of his own spreading over his lips. The masterful, controlled way in which Leo exposed his feline claws impressed little Ari, tail wagging slowly. The fluffy thing curled slightly with his excitement, though it stiffened as he heard footsteps and voices. Nodding distractedly at Leo's words, he glanced up at the young man's expression to check his reaction to the strangers behind them, before turning his attention to the door as his claw, assisted by Leo's hand, smoothed the once harsh edges of the crescent moon. Glowing with pride, he eagerly returned the bright grin.

Ears angling back towards the sounds, focusing on them once more, he noted one was Andrea, his scent growing familiar with the dhole-shifter. The other was foreign, though shared similarities with Leo's scent. He didn't yet have time to turn to face them, and Leo's apparent ease calmed him slightly. Cautiously glancing over his shoulder, he perked his ears and smiled at Andrea, then flicked his honey-coloured optics to the stranger. The winged man had a broad wingspan, feathers encasing the blind Caster. It seemed the two knew each other, but Ari couldn't help but be wary.

After a moment, Andrea moved away, feeling along the wall and inspecting the work-in-progress carving before raining the two with praise, only furthering Ari's pride. Tail once again swaying side to side happily, he beamed at Leo, a slight flush to his complexion at some of Andrea's chosen words. Listening intently to the next few things the Caster voiced, he giggled. "Leo did all of the carving." the boy stated modestly, lips quirked upwards. His ears swivelled as he let his lingering gaze sweep away, back to the stranger only Ari didn't seem to know about. Tilting his head, he regarded this winged man with round, curious eyes.

{GHhhhh this is super messy}

Aleister

The white haired young man groaned faintly as he began to awake. The first thing he felt was his sore legs and back. Groggily, he opened his eyes, whilst stretching, but then fluttered his eyelids and looked around. He jerked upright, suddenly alert. His chest tightened as he tried to make sense of where he was, panic coming over him. This wasn't the same room. Not at all. His face shifted to an expression of intense concern, as he roughly pushed himself out the bed. No window, not the same chair in the corner- the chair his dear friend had been worryingly keeping up with him the previous night, before he fell asleep. He began to mentally recall the preceding day.

Aleister had driven out to the lake with his friends for the weekend, it having been the first night. That cat came along, he decided to screw around and tease it.. oh, right. That's how he ended up being driven to a clinic by Lillian. But, this wasn't the clinic- he anxiously glanced at the door. An urge came over him to open it up and find out where the hell he was, but the other part of him insisted to stay. Inhaling deeply and trying to stay calm, he convinced himself he was just remembering the night all wrong. It was fine. He was fine. There was nothing to stress over. He quietly walked back over and tried to relax in the bed.

(*Bows and scrapes while profusely apologizing for the late reply*)

Leo

Seeing Andrea's admiration, Leo tried to stifle a purr. He mostly failed.

Leo tilted his head like a curious cat at the mention of leaving stuff in a supply closet, but he shook it off, still faintly preening from the praise. He knew when he did good work, and he knew he was going to be proud of this door when he was done with it. Making eye contact with Andrea, he crossed his heart. "I'll get your bags to your room safe enough." He promised sincerely before turning to look at Ari. "And Ari, you created this design, don't you dare be modest." He said, batting fondly at one of Ari's ears like a cub would. The shifter had a reason to be proud.

Avery

Letting Andrea duck out from under his wing, he retracted them, their soft, dove grey feathers shifting to rest behind his back, before disappearing. There weren't even holes in his shirt. His wings were literally magic manifested, one of the few things that truly marked him as a changeling. That was why their color was so significant. Darker was more dangerous, brighter was more emotion. Dove grey was calm and happy. White was impossible outside of outlandish myths including soulmates and alternate realities, and back was the color of impending death. For those who see it, of course.

Watching the Caster examine the door, he wished the Caster could see it, to appreciate it fully, but he new that projection would most likely not be well received. He tampered the urge and began withdrawing his empathic feelers. He was in safe company, he didn't need to be monitoring.

Avery smiled at his son's antics with the other shifter, examining the young man. He was careful to respect Ari's privacy, both empath and telepathically. Rolling his shoulders, he stepped forward and extended a hand. "Hello, I am Avery Waite, most-times head of the Centre and Leo's father." Avery still felt odd claiming that title, no matter how truthful it was or how long he had it. He still felt too young to be a father. Nevermind he was coming up on four thousand. It wasn't like age or raising Leo had settled him any, either.

(i iz late and ded and sorri)

Andrea

The Caster reached out and grasped on Ari and Leo's arms, sudden but in a gentle, careful move. All of a sudden, he was a blazing beam of smiles, brighter than ever; jingle bells of wholehearted laughter filled the area. "Thanks, thanks! This is wonderful, Ari... No need to be humble." Andrea agreed, giving a good deal of little nods of excitement to encourage his roommate. He regretted his choice of words, judging them as too paper-thin to fulfill their goal; but, oh well. Andrea was never too good with words outside his brain.

Andrea stepped back as Avery approached, listening with no particular reasoning; his mentor's claim of Leo's father figure made him cringe every single time. Just too weird. Just too unnatural. The two men felt just so close in age - at least judging by their movements and voices - that the Caster was constantly bewildered to just think about touching the subject.
Anywho, his role was over. Excusing himself quietly, Andrea retreated into his room in a soft hum locked inside his brain.

Once inside, the man breathed out in relief. Just moments ago he was having fun amongst his companions; What just happened? Why did he even retreat? He didn't know. Probably not to spoil anyone's fun.
Mentally stumbling in his confusion, Andrea sighed loudly before plopping on the floor, fluttering his eyes in questioning, nose crumpled up in a similar fashion to a cartoon-ish puzzled kitten. Well, what was done had been done.

For the moment, the Caster followed with his mental singing, swaying to the gentle rhythm, letting it softly carry him to sleep and to dreams, to a land so beautiful that he could accept regaining his sight.

Leo

When Andrea moved closer Leo was caught off guard by the sudden proximity. The newness allowed him to scent the Caster, who had previously been masked by the charred wood. It was subconscious, wanting to check where he had been and if he had been okay, based on lingering scents. He did it with most people. Frowning slightly at the now-stale scent of distress, he opened his mouth to comment before catching another scent. He froze as he recognized the familiar- more than familiar- scent on the Caster. Aridion. He stayed stock-still as the Caster excused himself, processing. Red was somewhere, maybe near here. He closed his eyes, centering himself. He would ask later.

Being ageless and raising a child was definitely a strange experience, especially when the child aged past the age you appear to be. Leo hadn't gotten there yet, but Avery did not anticipate that day with any amount of happiness. It was difficult, to say the least, watching your children grow old. It felt unnatural.

Nehema

It took Nehema a little while to recompose herself from laughing. She didn't miss Steve's interested glance at the fire she had allowed to briefly alight, but his next words drove any thought to explain out of her head. There were two others here who were from the same time as her, and one of them a telepath. The odds of that were... the phoenix froze a moment as a name registered.

"Wait, Ladon? As in the Ladon dragon?" The surprise in her voice was impossible to mask. She had met him once before, a very long time ago. She had been very young, relatively speaking, only 50 years or so into her life. He hadn't been a singular head for long, and so was rather disoriented. Their acquaintance had been brief, but Ladon had been a legend even before. How was he here, of all places? And now?

She suppossed she'd just have to ask him when they met again. Sorting through her memories, Nehema quickly decided the name Avery was not familiar, but that didn't change her eagerness to meet him. "I'd hate to interrupt anything important, but if you think it'd be fine... I'd love to go find them now." The redhead shook her head, the corners of her lips turning up in a bemused smile. "Forget my stories, you probably have better ones, based on how interesting your friends are."

{Heck, I've been a wee bit ded xD Sorreh!}

~ARI~

The playful way in which Leo batted his russet audit elicited a soft huff of mock irritation, his own hand coming up to lightly swat the other's arm, claws retracting. However, a relenting giggle ended the miniature attack, tail wagging in an appeased manner. He could feel an analytical gaze sweeping his physique, one ear angling backwards, before the rest of his body pivoted with it. Authority emanated from the winged man, whom introduced himself, adding the information that he was, in fact, Leo's father.

Unable to stop his honey eyes from widening with the knowledge, he briefly glanced between the two men skeptically. There wasn't much similarities shared, and they didn't even seem to be of the same species. That aside, they appeared strangely close in age. With a blink, he pushed aside his theories for the moment. Maybe he could ask Leo later. Gingerly taking Avery's hand, he gave it a small, yet firm shake, before releasing his hold. Dropping his hand back to his side, he allowed his ears and tail to disappear, reverting into a fully human state. Well, apart from his always slightly heightened senses and physicality

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, sir. I'm Ari. I was lucky enough to be brought in by your son and his friend Steve. They saved my life." deciding upon some form of limited formality that he possessed, he gave a polite smile, unsure of how to address Avery.

(*hug* It's okay. Just don't make us worry too much)

Steve

Steve grinned brightly. "Yes, like the dragon. Hundred headed beast, defeated by Heracles and separated out into each head as punishment. The Ladon who spent hundreds of years as a wanderer and warrior with a death wish before getting on the bad side of a certain Changeling, who some say tamed him, got him living instead of trying to find a way to die. Who has since become one of the most respected martial artists in the world along with fighting in both world wars.... yeah that Ladon. He lives here, and is in charge of the international team, the ones who don't do the healer stuff." Steve needed to breathe. He had forgot. "Avery heals the strays they bring back, and leads the medical center. Avery has been studying healing most of his life, although none of us can get him to talk about his first couple hundred years. We have suspicions. Anyways, Avery and him have been together a long time." He paused, his words catching up to him and making him reconsider. "Not together together, but close. You'll like Avery, but if you already know Ladon we will start with him."

Steve had stories, many of them. But it would take a bit to get him talking- he didn't necessarily think they were interesting or important, even though he had seen and been part of some amazing things.

Casting a quick eye, Steve found Ladon and stood off, heading for the dragon. "Come on." He called, making sure he would be followed.

Avery

Avery laughed, shaking his head. "It's Avery, please." He looked over briefly at Leo, who caught the look and gave a nod, before refocusing on Ari. "And I saw. I am a telepath, and Leo caught me up while I was walking down the hall. It is nice to meet you, Ari." Avery dipped his head briefly. "I am an empath as well. Before you become too concerned, I will tell you that I will not use my powers on you without permission or extenuating circumstances. I am told it is rude." He once again glanced at Leo, smirking this time. Leo chuckled in response.

Leo

"Being raised by a telepath you come to value your mental privacy greatly, what can I say?" Leo responded lightly, a teasing tone in his words. He looked over at Ari. "I mentioned earlier I was adopted? Ladon is somewhere around here, probably busy, but this is the other man who raised me." Leo said, doing his best to jog Ari's memory. Stepping closer to Avery, he motioned between them. "We look nothing alike, and Aithar here looks the same as he did nineteen years ago, so we have to explain that a lot." Leo was used to it.

Ladon

Ladon, realizing he wouldn't get a quick answer out of Quin, advised the familiar to think about it, and got him settled in a room in the fourth building- ground floor, with a door to a fenced in outside area. He usually used it for weres, if they hadn't mastered control in there shifted form. a were contained inside during their shift could get extremely distressed, and that was usually the opposite of the goal. Leaving the familiar there, and telling him to keep his head down, Ladon proceeded to one of the semi-aquatic treatment rooms in building two. He wasn't a doctor, his talent for such was extremely limited, but he could be made useful, and he was, being ordered around by countless nurses and healers, carrying this and moving that. He didn't mind, it was a nice break from the constant responsibility of building four.

(Why was this long?)

Aridion

Josie looked at Kennedy incredulously. โ€œSo, the long story short, we have a just-woken up werecat who had no idea what happened, and our two options for people are 'This is way over my pay gradeโ€™ i.e us or one of the big guns like a Runner or heaven forbid, Avery? Where on Earth is Olivia?โ€

Kennedy shook head. โ€œOlivia is out on labor watch, she is two weeks overdue and we can't have her going into a potentially dangerous situation when she could go into labor at any moment, and you know Lily had vacation this month. Adam and Astoria have what looks like a magic-resistant strain of virus, so they can't come in until they are cleared, and Dennis is at home with his twins, who are shedding and miserable. I will say it again: We have no one.โ€

Kennedy was right. All of their trained counselors who were meant to handle these things were out. Josie bit her lip. โ€œWe are not calling the boss.โ€ She said firmly. She was sure Avery had other business. She saw Kennedy nodding, when a thought hit her. โ€œDoesn't that Caligo who used to help us have the right training? Arydon or something like that? We still have his number, we could call him in?โ€ Josie bit her lip, unsure.

Kennedy's eyes widened. โ€œIf you want to wish bringing him here, be my guest. I do have to admit it's a good idea.โ€

-a half an hour later-

Aridion strode down the hall, looking at Josie and flipping through a file that was basically the information the wereโ€™s friend had given (aggression issues pre-bite, wonderful) and a few other notes about the were (Aleister- good awful name. He certainly hoped the kid wouldn't mind a nickname) his species and the typical behavior of Eurasian lynx weres, which Aridion already knew. โ€œSo you are telling me I get to go in there with a kid who thinks he is a human recovering from an animal attack, and tell him that he is now a werecat, and all the baggage that comes with that, as well as the fact he won't be allowed to leave the Centre until he has control? Why did I agree? Oh wait I haven't yet. There must be someone more qualified?โ€ He cast a beseeching gaze at Kennedy, who just shook his head.

โ€œYou are it. Grace's save us. Everyone else is busy, or we can't find them.โ€

Aridion nodded, and started pulling his predatory aura back around himself. He had simply been at home, reading and trying to guess whether or not he would see that Caster again after being ditched in the alley at Seconcruise, when his phone rang. He had almost forgotten he even had the thing. Anyways, he wasn't exactly in show form, but he opened the door anyways, stepping into the room and clearing his throat. โ€œHi. I guess you have questions.โ€

Nehema

Nehema nodded along, knowing most of the background info. That he had fought in the wars was unsurprising; she herself had too, if only as a nurse in either. Her true fighting had been done long before. Shame flared up in her at confirmation of Ladon's desire to die so very long ago, shame for only knowing him shortly and then leaving. But she had been young and impulsive, and it had not been in her nature then to stay still. It was no excuse, but it seemed to have turned out alright, thanks to this Avery.

That one was seeming more intriguing by the minute. "Yeah, I know Ladon. Or, I did..."The redhead stood, shifting on her feet and then adjusting the sligh on her arm. Inconvenient thing. The bandage on her cheek itched a little too. She waited a moment while Steve paused, presumably finding Ladon sith his thirst eye, before following closely behind him as he left. "Lead the way," Nehema said quickly. As they went, the phoenix had the unreasonable urge to take his arm again. It was odd how quiclly she felt comfortable with Steve, but stuck in a place of mostly strangers, she supposed it made sense for her to want to stay near the one she knew. Still, she didn't want to bother him, so contented herself with knowing he was near and kept her arm to herself.

Aleister

Aleister's eyes darted towards the door as he heard it unlock and open. Nervousness and worry rapidly turned to suspicion. His expression turned cold and hard as he stared at the man. Thoughts begin to flood his mind, but he shook his head for a second and quickly responded to him. "Yeah, I do. Where am I? Who the hell are you? Am I okay?" He spoke in a brisk manner. All other things clouding his mind previously were gone now, and he was solely focused on this new person.

Aridion

Aridion sighed, going to sit on the floor across the room, making himself look smaller, less dangerous in an attempt to not set off any aggressive reactions, before beginning to speak. "You are at the Centre for Supernatural healing and international relations in Central City, Colorado. I am Aridion, a part-time healer and counselor, when they can drag me in. You are less than okay. The reason you were brought here is that you were turned by a Werecat, and technically you are required to spend an adjustment period in a facility that is equipped to handle newly turned weres." He let that hang, and made sure not to make eye contact.

Steve

Steve grinned, offerring his arm once again before setting off, heading for ladon, who had since moved outside, leaning against one of the buildings.

Ladon

Eyes closed, Ladon heard footsteps approaching, one light and familiar, and another cautious, as if recovering from injury. "Hello Steve."He greeted tiredly, without opening his eyes. "And Steve's companion. What can this dragon do for you today? Please not another trip to Italy, last time they wanted to buy my shed scales." He was only partially joking. Pushing himself off from the wall and into a fully upright position, he opened his eyes, letting them flash dragon gold for a half a second as he extended his hand in greeting towards the... phoenix, if he was guessing right. "Ladon. Pleased to meet you....? He trailed off, letting her give her own name.
