"Thank StarClan you're here! Hawkpaw was... humming a moment ago, but now he just... stopped. Then he tried to talk, but couldn't. I don't know if I'm being over paranoid, but can you check him?" she asked anxiously. The grey speckled she-cat glanced back down at Hawkpaw. She knew this was bad. Her tail twitched with nervousness.

Rosesong's heart thumped, she arched her back as a rumble in the air from the aftermath of the storm scared her, she leapt up and ran outside camp and hid under a charred tree, it fell and she stared at it then finally leapt out of the way, her tail got stuck under and she yowled for help, she yanked on it, but it just hurt more, at least it was a thin tree. She used her legs to push the tree, it wouldn't work, she needed help.

After managing to wake up Spottedpaw, Rainpaw had gone to collect some feathers and moss to help make Hawkpaw and Spottedpaw more comfortable. She trotted back into the clearing with magpie, crow, and woodpecker feathers clamped in her jaws. She decided to make a second trip to gather some moss for the two apprentices. As she approached she noticed a group of cats gathered around Hawkpaw and Spottedpaw. She padded up to Snowecho and spat out the feathers, "Snowecho, I brought these to help make them more comfortable so they don't get stiff. I was going to go gather more moss afterwords." She added, splitting the pile of feathers into two bunches. She looked over at Pebblesplash, who seemed nervous, and silently rested her tail on her shoulder for comfort, giving her a small smile. She hated seeing anxious cats, she just wanted to see them happy or at least hopeful, however she knew that'd be hard to do at this moment.

Pebblesplash felt Rainpaw's tail rest on her shoulder, and she smiled back to her. The act of comfort relaxed her. She figured she should explain what was happening.
"Hawkpaw stopped humming... and then tried to talk but couldn't. It's getting worse again," she said to Rainpaw. Pebblesplash kneaded the earth, her habit taking over again.
"Do you want help gathering some moss?" she asked.

Willowstar - 33 Moons - Leader - 40/40 HP - Clan Territory/River - Mentions: Wolfpaw, Open

After checking over Wolfpaw to make sure he was away from the fire when it happened, she let out a sigh before erupting into a coughing fit. She had used the long fur of her tail to try and block what smoke that she could, but it seemed like she managed to still breathe some in. After a few heartbeats, the fit seems to end and the young apprentice beside her looked up with a worried expression. “Are you okay?” “I’m fine. Just breathed in a little bit of smoke on the way out. Here, come with me.” Willowstar pushed herself up to her paws and walked the few fox lengths over to the river, dipping her head down and lapping up enough to cool her throat.

Everyone seemed to still be recovering from the fire and she figured she would give everyone some time before meeting up with the medicine cats to check on how the injured were doing and then Sunstar and the co-deputies to discuss their plan of action. The calico could see Sunstar, Stormberry, and Snowecho huddled up not too far away and both leader and medicine cat looked like they had seen better days. Feeling a nudge, Willowstar blinked when she saw Wolfpaw lay down and lean against her and gave in, settling down beside him and starting to groom her younger brother. She was unsure of the condition on the injured, but with Snowecho and Icepaw both now tending to the injured, she figured it would be difficult to get the answer until everyone was finally patched up or stable.

Mumblepaw | 10 Moons | Apprentice | 14/18 | Territory --> River | Mentions: Horsetail / Spottedpaw

Mumblepaw would make out a small sprint. He had a weird feeling that he went the wrong way more then once, he couldn't hear the river or cat conversing with eachother. I don't have time for this! he growled through his bundle, shoving his way through the forest. Mumblepaw's ears would perk and flick, desperate to find the sound of water. He wanted to get back to everyone already. Where in Starclan's name.. He hissed, then the tom froze. He could hear it, faintly, the sound of water flowing. Mumblepaw broke into a full run he could hear the sound of water more clearly, he could even see a few familiar pelts in the distance. As Mumblepaw was halfway near the river he felt his paw bump into something, and before he knew it he was tumbling to the ground. "H-Oof" Was the sound the apprentice made as he blinked, his pelt was ruffled and had a few leaves stuck in it. He looked around for Horsetail, seeing the familiar sandy pelt the apprentice stood, walking towards him. Mumblepaw got face to face with the cat, giving an annoyed snort into his face, and then dropped the bundle of sorrel to Horsetail's paws. "You're welcome." He grumbled, narrowing his eyes. Mumblepaw then got to his paws and walked over to where Spottedpaw was. He would lay next to the she, resting his head on hers, giving a small sigh. He was silent after that.

Rainpaw frowned, disappointed to hear that Hawkpaw had gotten worse. She lashed her tail, even more determined to help. She looked to Pebblesplash, "Yes, please. I would love the help!" Rainpaw looked over at Snowecho and gave a respectful nod, leaving him with the feathers. She smiled to Pebblesplash before turning to head out of the camp again in search of the moss tree.

Pebblesplash padded after Rainpaw, content to have something to take her mind off of Hawkpaw. She looked back to Hawkpaw and Snowecho. A twinge of guilt sparked in her gut. Should she have stayed to make sure he was okay? Probably not. Pebblesplash was happy to help Rainpaw, seeing as so many cats had been wounded. She had been one of the lucky ones. She shook her head, clearing it from negative thoughts.

Swallowpaw coughed again as she considered finding a medicine cat. She slowly picked her way down to the river but felt too weary to manage much more. Her skin itched from the flames and smoke and her paw pads and throat stung. She looked about and spotted Willowstar and Wolfpaw curled up together. Swallowpaw shook out her fluffy, albeit smokey, pelt and ambled over to the pair. She dropped to the ground on Willowstar’s other side and closed her eyes tiredly. “I hope you two don’t mind me joining.” She rasped, settling against Willowstar’s soft side.

Willowstar - 33 Moons - Leader - 40/40 HP - Clan Territory/River - Mentions: Wolfpaw, Swallowpaw

Her thoughts wandered as she groomed the young tom, wondering why everything was happening the way it was, when she felt another body rest against hers. The female leader paused from grooming Wolfpaw and turned her head to see that’s Swallowpaw had come over to join them. Her eyes narrowed slightly as gently smiled, a purr rumbling in her throat, and shook her head. “We don’t mind at all!” Before she could speak, she could hear Wolfpaw pipe up beside her, peaking his head over the calico female’s side. “He’s right, neither of us mind. Besides, it’ll help reassure me that you’re getting some rest and not trying to overwork yourself. That, and though I haven’t seen Horsetail, I’m sure both he and Snowecho have their paws full over there.” Her head then motioned to the cats that were laying down, both warriors and apprentices fretting over them. “If you start feeling bad enough, let me know and I’ll get one of them to check you over.” She told Swallowpaw before lightly nudging her head and giving her a reassuring lick on the top of the soon-to-be warrior’s head.

The silvery tom looked at the burned camp. He had tried to stop the fire, but when the fire became too much for him and the others to deal with, he'd been scattered away by the flames. He was only now able to rejoin the others.

Looking at the burned, broken camp, as well as all the cats there, Foxflame sighed wistfully. He then looked around him.

"'Tis imperative I check on Shrewflight. Such a she-cat might miss me if she's still alive."

He began padding along, scanning the masses of cats for Shrewflight.

Sunstar - 24 Moons - Leader - 22/40 HP - Outside Camp - Mentions: Stormberry, Foxflame, Willowstar

Sunstar awoke upon a clearing of bright green grass. The air was clean and fresh, nothing like he'd ever smelled since the terrible fire at camp. He looked around, not sure what to do first: roll in the grass, or look for some prey to stalk?
His gaze moved to look in front of him, and he saw a small river, a beautiful tortoiseshell cat staring into the wobbling blue mirror. His heart race quickened, and he walked up to her. "Daisyheart? What are you doing here?"
His first love turned her face to him, and there was sadness and longing. She spoke softly, "Sunstar. I've come to give you an urgent message."
He narrowed his eyes. "Why aren't we in Starclan?"
Her face went dark, "I'm not even supposed to be here. You've blocked out Starclan, and therefore cannot visit. We have more pressing matters at hand though. A darker evil is coming."
Sunstar was up in an instant. "No. No! Do you not see what we are going through? The clans don't deserve any more pain from Starclan!"
"You think Starclan cause this? Than you're more ignorant than I thought." She hissed.
The she-cat came up to him, whispering, "I'm glad you found someone to make you happy. I really am."
Sunstar choked, "You will always be my first love, Daisy. I'll fight for both of you. And.. I only turned from Starclan because you abandoned us. You left us when we needed you.."
Daisyheart swiped him with her tail. "You turned on Starclan because you didn't have faith. You know that. But you need to listen, Sunstar... You and Stormberry will be joining me soon."
Then she was gone, just like that. He yowled. No! I have to be there for my clan! I have to live my life!
The grass suddenly turned dark, becoming a gooey icky darkness. He shrieked, trying to get if off of him. With a yowl of pain, he slipped into the instant current of goo, falling beneath the surface.

Sunstar woke up in a panic. He looked around, trying to feel for Stormberry next to him. The tom was nearby, huddled next to Snowecho. A rage built inside of his throat, but he quickly swallowed it down.
"Stormberry!" He called. "I need to talk to you, now."
He also looked around for Willowstar, and saw her near the river. He howled, hoping to get her attention. Foxflame was near him, but he didn't care if the tom ended up overhearing. There wasn't enough time.

Willowstar - 33 Moons - Leader - 40/40 HP - Clan Territory/River - Mentions: Wolfpaw, Swallowpaw, Sunstar

As she relaxed next to the two apprentices, a howl caught her attention and her head perked up, her sharp gaze scanning over the cats before it focused on Sunstar, who seemed like he had something to say. While she hated to disturb either apprentice, she lightly nuzzled the two of them before slowly pushing herself up. “I’ll be back shortly, you two. Swallowpaw, make sure you rest. Wolfpaw, keep an eye on her and if she gets worse or needs anything, be sure to help her out.” The tom gave her an acknowledging nod as he remained laying down and she cast one last glance at the soon-to-be warrior before quickly making her way over to where Sunstar was. When she had last looked at him, he didn’t seem to be in the best state, but now he looked panicked, which put the female leader on edge as it typically meant that something wasn’t right. The fluffy calico finally reached him, tilting her head slightly when she got close enough. “Is everything okay, Sunstar? What’s going on?”

Horsetail nodded his head to Mumblepaw, as the apprentice dropped the sorrel at the medicine cats paws. "Thank you", Horsetail said, looking after the apprentice. The young tom seemed to be in a bad mood, though Horsetail was glad that the apprentice had not gotten lost. Picking up the some of the sorrel leaves and a piece of the honeycomb, Horsetail took them over to where Icepaw was chewing up the comfrey. After placing the bundle on the ground, Horsetail nuzzled the she-cats shoulder. "Glad to see that you are doing better", the mud covered tom said. Looking over to where Snowecho stood, Horsetail gave the medicine cat a nod. Time to get to work.
Moving over to where Hawkpaw and Spottedpaw lay, Horsetail looked down at them. They were not doing well, Horsetail felt a tug of sympathy in his chest. They were both still so young, Horsetail picked up a sorrel leaf and smeared some honey on the leaf. Giving Hawkpaw the leaf covered in honey, Horsetail pushed it towards him. "Here, eat this it will help you", the medicine cat said.

The tom opened his eyes again. He was back in reality and Horsetail was in front of him. He looked at the leaf. He tried to lift himself up but had trouble. Stripepaw came over and helped the brown tom. He let out a groan then looked up to Horsetail. He looked back to the bundle and ate it. He swallowed it then laid back down. The honey felt good running down his sore throat. "T-thanks." He managed to say.
