I'd like to be done in time before the sun sets if you don't mind." He didn't mean to sound brief but he did want to start training, and that couldn't happen if he didn't have an apprentice who was both mentally and physically there while he tried to teach her.

"Well, Wolfpaw, would you rather learn to hunt or fight today? We're going to the river either way, so let's discuss as we walk." Duskflight turned toward the entrance to the camp that led to the river, beckoning with his tail for Wolfpaw to follow.

Stormberry perked his ears when he heard Snowecho call for him, looking over his shoulder and letting out a small sigh as he turned around. "What is it?" He asked, trying to hide the frustration in his voice. He was sure that Snowecho genuinely hadn't wanted to make him upset, but no matter his intention, he hadn't found the other tom's comment funny at all. Still, he appreciated that Snowecho was probably trying to apologise, and he couldn't stay grumpy at the medicine cat for long, for reasons only he and Snowecho knew. He looked down at the fish that was offered out to him, but he didn't feel much like eating it. "Thank you, but you know the rules. We should just bring this to the cats in the medicine den, or the elders." He meowed, leaning down to pick up the fish. "Come on, we can talk on the way back to camp, and maybe later tonight too."

Shrewflight twitched her tail nervously, her claws digging into the soft grass beneath her. She was a little overwhelmed at this place; the hustle and bustle of warriors, elders and apprentices was almost too much to process. She gulped and curled her tail around her right hind leg out of nervous habit. Blue would know what to do, she thought, then winced; it was such a reflex thought by now, but she needed to accept that he was gone. She was happy to be accepted to this Clan, of course, she was undeniably grateful and would protect them all if she could; she just didn't know where to start in the making friends department.
She looked around and saw the medicine cat den, and realized that may as well be as good of a place to start as any; she cocked her head and walked over, poking her head into it. She cleared her throat, and the smallest and softest voice floated out of her mouth.
"H-hello?"
But there wasn't a soul in there.
"Oh, shoot."
Shrewflight exited the den and huffed, thinking, her nose scrunching up. Her tummy grumbled, and she decided that in order to make some new friends, she should impress them with some kills; she set off into the nearby woods, intent on bringing back a fat squirrel or two.

The bulky tom sauntered into camp after going out for a walk to appease his boredom, a limp squirrel dangled from his jaws. The squirrel was an unexpected catch while he was out, but he figured he shouldn't come back empty handed. He dropped the squirrel on the fresh kill pile. He licked his lips, before eyeing his usual shady spot in camp. He rest his rump in the familiar earth, and coiled his tail tightly around his paws. His eyes lay half open, and he contemplated taking a nap.

The playful she-cat, batted the leaf off a weed around amusingly, as she seemed to be frantic about batting and catching it. Shrewflight was just reaching the edge of the treeline when she noticed the young cat working herself up; Shrew wasn't sure what to make of it. She tilted her head and watched for a few minutes before realizing that the little thing must have been bored out of her gourd, and was trying to just entertain herself the best she could. Admittedly, Shrewflight was *not* good with apprentices or kits, but her empathy and compassion for them still existed, so she did the only thing she could think of.
"Um, hey." She walked up to Harepaw and curled the tip of her tail in the air, a little nervous, even with a young kitty. "You seem bored, and I'm about to go on a hunt. Would you maybe like to come with me so you don't have to hunt a leaf?"

"Hi Harepaw!" Snowpaw says trotting tot he appretice. "Hi Shrewflight!" She smiles at the warror and appretice. She sat down. "Whats up?" She asks sweetly. Snowecho flattened his ears, he remembered the last time he had seen Stormberry in the river as clearly as if it had just happened. He understood why he was upset. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that." He apologised, turning to pick some goatweed. He ate some of the herb, and took some to bring back to the medicine cat den. "Maybe the elders will appreciate it." He mentioned, as he had already eaten and he had heard Sunstar say he would bring a vole to Icepaw. He carried the few stalks of goatweed he had picked, padding alongside Stormberry. "You seem close to Sunstar." He murmured quietly.

Snowpaw's heart lifts. She was happy to finally hunt. "Thanks!" She says cheerfully. You can finally hunt, she thinks happily, you can finally be productive! He grin widens. "Really thanks! I haven't seen my mentor recently so I haven't really hunted in forever." She admits. She wishes she could hunt more but she was really happy for the opportunity to hunt now.

Softpaw stretched himself out as he woke up. He had a feeling this would be a good day. He groomed his fur for a bit, then leapt out of the apprentice den. He looked towards the camp entrance, thinking he saw some movement there. He padded over to inspect. "Oh hello." He mewed when he saw Snowpaw, Shrewflight, and Harepaw. "You going out hunting? Can I come with?" He asked. He loved hunting, and he was sure that one of the elders would appreciate a plump mouse. Of course, if he was not allowed to come, he would just wait for Sunstar to come back from spending time with Stormberry.
