PlotlineMany generations ago, the four packs lived in peace in the comforts of their established territories, before disaster struck. Slowly, more and more humans crept in to study them and visit their home, but with them they brought filth and fire. After a horribly dry season, the land burst into flames, driving the four packs away from home and far away from each other, where they all lived in isolation. Now, almost 50 years later, the ancestors have spoken: it is time to return. The packs have returned to what their ancestors had originally inhabited for countless years, with the humans completely gone. The forest has regrown, but the relationships that the packs once had with each other...will tensions grow poor? Will they chase each other from their home? Or will all be as right as rain? Uda | Divum | Warrior | Location: Divum Territory | Mentions: Peter, Doratu, Sarge & Maiah (Indirectly) Uda's ears flatten against her head and she casts a scolding glance at Peter, "We've just arrived here, there's no need to get hasty and start quarrels with our neighbours." She states, quite flatly. "We can't judge the other packs on first impressions, they're just as new to this area as we are and tempers are high because of the move." She sighs, gaze flickering around the faces of her pack members. She was interested in their views on the matter, of course but what she wasn't interested in was starting a feud with strangers. If it came down to the life of her pack though, she wouldn't hesitate to fight. They would just have to wait for the outcome of the meeting to see who became friends or enemies. Eerin | Noctis | Beta | Location: Noctis Territory | Mentions: Primrose "I suppose so," Eerin replies, referring to the amount of moss. She pulls a clump together and reaches down to pick it up, pausing just as her mouth reaches the moisture-filled plant to ponder, "Don't underestimate us, even with a new leader we are strong." She gives Primrose a goodhearted smile and picks up the bundle of moss, bits of it falling back to the earth to grow once again. Rain splashes into her eyes and ears from above as a tree's leaves cave under the weight of the water, "We better get going." She says, voice muffled by the moss in her mouth as she begins trotting off hastily, shaking her head to rid it of the rain. She couldn't see or smell much on the sudden downpour but her feet seemed to be guiding her in the right direction as she headed for the safety of camp. Besart | Lumen | Warrior | Location: Lumen Territory | Mentions: Romulus, Remus Besart pulled himself off the ground, not stopping to shake the dirt from his coat in fear of making too much noise and alerting the rabbits. He gave Romulus a solitary nod of his head in agreement and followed suit, circling arround the hole in the ground. He waited for his leader to make the first move before swiftly covering the burrow entrance with his body. His eyes lifted, waiting for Remus' signal that he was ready for the two males to spook the hares out of hiding. It had been too long since he had hunted for rabbit and he had never provided for a pack before, the thought of him possibly contributing to the groups meal for the night made him quite happy. Though he was proud of the other two males as well. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 04/09/19 @ 08:25:31 by Sleep (#44085) |

Peter|Divum Commander|Divum Camp|Mentions Doratu, Open "The alpha attacked their own pack? The healer included?" This was very good information indeed. Their healer was currently down probably while the rest of the pack had damaged egos and a few scratches. The graying black wolf rolled into his stomach while ideas raced throigh his head. Kill them. Steal from them. Steal... yes, yes they could do that. "We should take their healer. We don't have one of our own and theirs is apparently mistreated. Why not bring them into our own pack? See if we can get them talking, get more information about their old alpha. I mean, they do have good land, lot of larger prey around there. We could use this to our advantage. More resources means we can get in more pack members, larger numbers means more fighters, and more fighters means more land, and blah blah blah I'm sure you get where I'm going with this." 0 players like this post! Maiah||Divum||Young Warrior||Location: Divum Territory, Camp||Mentions: Peter, Sarge, Uda, Doratu Maiah wasn't sure how she felt about this new information, but she kept her mouth shut for now and just listened. After awhile though, she decided to put her word in "No. Starting a problem isn't the right move, they out number us, and their high ranking wolves are large, powerful. If we take their healer it might be seen as a threat, we'd be taking something that puts them at risk." She felt... weird, debating like this with the others. She didn't really understand a lot of things, and didn't feel nearly as qualified to have her input, but she did have common sense. They didn't need to start problems so soon. 0 players like this post! Like? |

“True.... Maiah, are you up to it? They all already know me, so I can’t do it.” Frosty grinned. A healer. Perfect. “What do you think Sarge?” 0 players like this post! Like? |

Peter|Divum Commander|Divum Camp|Mentions The Pack, Open "See? It is a good idea. Our great Alpha agrees." Oh, how easy it was to get his way. Who needed to be the actual alpha when you can just help pull the strings from behind the scenes. Easy peasy. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sarge // Divum Beta // Location: Divum Camp // Mentions: Peter, Uda, Maiah, Doratu, Open The beta twitched his ear. It wasn't wise to go waltzing into the territory of another pack, especially one of an impressive size and a clear poor temper. Not to mention, it left their own pack vulnerable without their alpha around, although Sarge was perfectly capable of keeping things under control on his own. He had many, many years of experience. The fate of Divum wasn't his greatest concern, as Noctis was rightfully his and he didn't intend on sticking around for long. "It would be foolish to intentionally steal from a pack that greatly rivals our own in size, especially when they've already proved themselves aggressive." Sarge didn't hesitate to make the distaste and sense of scolding in his voice obvious. He had every right to speak his mind, not only as the pack's beta, but also as a former alpha. "If we failed to get their healer, or even make him cooperate, we'd be at a severe risk. Not only would we risk losing whomever we sent into their territory, but we'd be without a healer to heal them. And if their healer decided to rebel against our methods? He'd run home and give Lumen an earful about our secrets and territory layout." It would be a death sentence. Sarge was no fool, despite his brawny appearance and abilities. He was a strategist at heart, and had learned over his years that a diplomatic approach was always better than a violent one. Yes: Sarge did resort to physical means from time to time when he lead Noctis, they had the manpower to do so. Divum? Not a chance. "What would be wise would be to speak with their healer at the meeting, tempt him in without making it too obvious. Lumen could only hate their healer for willingly leaving, not hate us for taking in what we can get." ---------- Remus // Lumen Warrior // Location: Burrows // Mentions: Romulus, Besart, Ciaran (unknowingly) He was shocked to not receive a bitter comment on his brother's part, or at least some degree of a threat. However, he wouldn't take it for granted. If he failed, he knew that Romulus would make him pay. Seeing that the back of his neck was already throbbing from a near warning (or greeting, even), he really wasn't looking forward to another pulverizing. With the grace of a deer and stealth of a fox, the red wolf scaled around the burrow to rest just above the burrow he was to hunt out of, surprisingly well-balanced in his position, quite unlike himself. He paused as something wafted over him, an almost foreign, wolfy scent. Had that alpha from the other pack decided to follow them? His hackles threatened to raise, but Remus shook the thought off and instead focused on the task at hand, fearing that he'd screw up if he didn't keep his attention on the burrow. Muscles tensing and heart beginning to race as he prepared to murder some baby bunnies, he raised his tail to give the signal. 0 players like this post! Like? Dawn - Loner (Wants to belong with a pack, Lumis maybe) - Pup - Limp a Territory, (Rabbit Burrows) - Tags: Remus, Romulus and Besart Dawn jumped out of her hiding place and followed the scent of Pack Lumis she knew that Faith was doing the same before she stopped seeing a few of the pack gathered around rabbit burrows and spotted a rabbit that was headed towards the burrow, she pounced on it killing it quickly when it stopped in its tracks then walked around the tree, straight into the eyesight of the other wolves. 0 players like this post! Primrose | Noctis Healer | Location: Noctis camp | Mentions: Eerin, Ace The healer hummed, but said nothing towards the beta's commentary, eyes scrunching up into a sort of displeased expression. Of course she knew they were strong, but Rose had seen entire packs disbanded by a couple of wolves before. Grabbing a fair share of moss, the she-wolf followed behind Eerin with quick steps, wincing as the muddy ground made its way between her toes, and feeling the rain weighing down on her fur. Emerging into camp, it seemed as if most of the pack had dispersed, the only other wolf in sight being Ace, seemingly planted on the same spot as when they left. Rose raised an eyebrown towards the alpha as she passed by, making a bee-line towards the largest den, promptly dumping the moss on the ground, and spitting the moisture leftover. After moons of dealing with herbs, Rose still could not find herself accostumed to having plants touching her tongue, much less the bitter taste almost all of them had. Shakig her fur, the healer sat back on her haunches, awaiting the beta. -- Bellarose | Pagnia Adol | Location: Pagnia camp | Mentions: Iniovij, Nova The rabbit's bone cracked easily under the teen's teeth, making her cringe at the scraping sound it made. She had gulped down the meat in almost an instant, given how hungry Bella had been, and she was now trying to salvage every bit from the leftovers. Her mom would always nag her for eating the small bones, saying she could choke on them, but it had been moons since she'd eaten a full sized rabbit without having to share every scrap of it, so she better make it count. Hearing a noise from further inside the camp, Bella peeked over her shoulder, eyes wide and attentive. She spotted one of the alphas and a warrior chatting under the shade, and her eyes widdened. Right, she had stuff to do still, some duties or something. Springing up, the teen hastily kicked her food remains to the side, making a mental note to properly bury them later. Giving her fur a quick shake, Bella marched right up to the older wolves with a poised gait, tail wagging indiscriminately, "Nova, Iniovij..." formalities were still a bit weird to the pup, but there was something about manners and addressing her superiors or something; she hadn't been paying close attention to that lesson, "I know i woke up a bit... late, but I was hoping I could join a border patrol? Y'know, have a look around." She really just wanted an excuse to not be put in lookout duty again having to sit in silence with one of the warriors for hours. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Luka / Noctis Warrior / Location: Noctis territory The silver he-wolf paused after Scorch quickly finished her task and left, green eyes widening slightly. "W-wait! I'm almost done," he yipped, gathering his less refined, more-dirt-than-moss clumps, trotting quickly off after his packmate. The wolf felt excited, smells tingling his nose and loud forest sounds catching his attention as tried tirelessly to focus on following Scorch. Finally, they entered the Noctis camp, with Luka dramatically adding his moss to a previously collected pile, his white tip tail wagging proudly. ____________________________________________________ Soul / Lumen Warrior / Location: Lumen territory The white warrior smiled at the sincere thanks and wagged his tail softly. It stopped when Tarkik asked about the brothers. "They were, once, probably the closest and most powerful wolves in this forest," he sighed, his bat-like ears flattening. "Their rise to power was smooth, until they realized only one of them could rule this pack. It tore them apart and now they barely speak to one another, other than to fight. It's a sore spot they never healed, and now I'm honestly not quite certain where it will leave the pack," he rambled once more, turning to look at the healer with a somber gaze. Soul stood, shaking out his long white fur. "Regardless, we can do nothing but support our alpha. We are his pack, after all, and he rules us as fairly as he can at times. I promise you'll see past his temper tantrums," Soul hummed, sniffing the air. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Uda | Divum | Warrior | Location: Divum Territory | Mentions: Peter, Doratu, Sarge, Cadaa, Maiah (Indirectly) Uda snorts as her words are more or less ignored by their alpha and commander, lifting herself to her feet and pacing a few steps away angrily, "The healer isn't ours to recruit," She replies to Cadaa, casting a blazing gaze at her superiors. "The thought of having a healer peaks my interest as well but the consequences heavily outweigh the benefits, we've just moved in we're not prepared to start a war that isn't needed." Her last words were icy and she stomps away from the group until she's out of sight, shaking her coat out to relieve tension as if she were covered in biting flies. There was no point in talking if her words were only falling on deaf ears and she wasn't interested in being involved in such an idiotic plan that would only result in the deaths of innocent wolves. She had faith in her pack but they were mostly aging or youngsters, they weren't as strong as they used to be and couldn't afford to be taking such risks as this. Eerin | Noctis | Beta | Location: Noctis Territory | Mentions: Primrose, Luka, Scorch Eerin follows suit behind the tall, pale-coated she wolf and slips into the shelter of the den, water running off of her back and onto the floor in a pool. She places the moss down gingerly and blinks the water out of her eyes just in time to see Luka and Scorch traipse into camp with their own findings, it seems as though they all had the same idea this morning. She trots a respective distance away from Primrose before giving her coat a hearty shake to rid it of the rain. "Thank you for your help," She regards the pack's healer, her soaked fur jutting out in ridiculous patches, "I didn't know it was going to rain on us, I apologize." Her gaze shifts down to her muddy coat and a soft sigh escapes her mouth. As soon as the rain let up she would have to begin clearing a path, if they didn't have to traverse a briar patch on the way home it most certainly wouldn't have taken them as long as it did to get out of the weather. 0 players like this post! Iniovij- warrior- location- pagnia camp- mentions: nova, stark, bellarose. Nova smiled. “Of course,” the alpha said. “You can go with Iniovij. Hes been out this morning along a section of the territory, you two can go to another part and scout it. Stark should be back soon anyways, so if you see him let him know what's going on.” Iniovij nodded in agreement and stood, tossing a friendly look over his shoulder at Bellarose. “Come on!” he said, and trotted off. Nova- alpha female- location- pagnia camp- mentions- vice(indirectly) Iniovij, open Nova watched them go, thinking. Having someone to teach would help the young male, she realised. He wouldn't be so bored. Boredom wasn't good when all you had to do was remember. Then the wound would fester, grow like an infection under the skin. She had seen it happen- the packs in the north were vicious, and death was rampant. Some of those left had slipped into the dark as the sun settled, and they didn't wake again. Hopefully that wouldn't happen now. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Doratu sighed. “Uda’s right, we shouldn’t kidnap him. If he refuses, he refuses. We can’t do anything.” He got to his paws and loped to the stream flopping down by its banks and sticking his face into the water. 0 players like this post! Like? |
