"Alright, you take the one on the left, I'll take the right," Romulus agreed, "The middle burrow is lower down on the hill than the other two, so the rabbits should be inclined to move away from us and into Remus' path." Though the Alpha had originally intended to prove his hunting prowess, to shove Besart's morale and calm confidence into the dirt, it'd give Lumen pack a far better morale boost if they collectively brought home the results of a bountiful hunt, especially after the squabbles and arguments that had taken place over the course of the day.

Romulus quietly departed from where he was crouched, not heading straight for the burrow, but curving around alongside it. If there were rabbits in the burrow, he didn't want them to abandon ship before everyone had gotten in place. Hoping that Besart had somewhat mirrored his movements, he took a second to glance at Remus, giving him a warning look. Don't mess this up. Romulus had never really bothered to see what Remus was like in action, since they had scarcely hunted with each other after the bigger male had forcefully taken the top spot in the pack. All he knew was that he'd be very angry if the plan didn't yield good results. After lowering himself to the ground, Romulus sprung from his hiding space, closing over the burrow closest to him.

Cadaa made her way back into the Divum camp, just finishing her first patrol of their borders. It was a beautiful place, she loved the waters, and the long swaying vines of the willow trees, helping to conceal the pack from watchful eyes. She took her time mapping it all out, enjoying the way the breeze carried the water over her thick pelt. She had a smile on her face as she walked into camp, only to have it fall when she saw the gathered wolves, whispering to each other.

They'd found something out, was her first thought. Their alpha made no mention of leaving camp, but she had seen Doratu, leaving in the opposite direction of her. She wasn’t sure why, but it couldn’t have been to hunt, otherwise he wouldn’t have gone alone. She walked slowly by them, easing into the conversation.

A healer? Divum didn’t have one, not after they had passed on the journey home, along with her parents and many others. Her ears twitched at the memories, and to distract herself she walked closer to the group, until she stood beside them.

“Have we finally found a wolf recruitable for our healer?” She asked quietly, looking up at the other wolves.

Scorch listened with intent focus as Luka gave his opinions, finding his perspective acceptable. His words lacked deceit, and the young male shared similar personality traits with their alpha. It made sense he would be supportive and optimistic concerning Ace's leadership. As Luka asked after her thoughts on the matter she regarded him thoughtfully before concluding there was little harm in sharing. "Uncertain, it is too early to tell, but if he is anything like his parents I suspect he will be just fine. In the meantime, the rest of us must guide and help him along the way." Tucking some of the moss beneath her chin and gathering the rest in her mouth, she turned without another word and began trekking back to camp.

Soul's words were calming and Tarkik could feel his apprehension melting away, his amber gaze filled with gratitude as he turned to stare at the other male. "Thank you, Soul. I feel much better now. I suppose we should return to camp now." His thoughts drifted to the implication of Remus and Romulus' relationship having been strained for a long time. "So were they always like this? Was there ever a time they behaved like true brothers?" Maybe if he learned more about their origins he could understand why they shared such a tumultuous kinship.
