N A M E Rhys Malum A G E Appears to be around the age of 18-20 S P E C I E S Demon/Devil A P P E A R A N C E Due to what demons call "the veil" to any humans Rhys appears to be one of them. To Humans, he looks like a reasonably tall and relatively tanned person with very dark brown hair and electric blue eyes. (Sorry this took forever, something came up) 0 players like this post! (sure) For the first time in a while, fear coursed through Rhys's veins, he slammed his body against the wooden door yet it still wouldn't budge. He sighed and stepped back, running a hand through his hair, his arms spread wide "what do you want from me?!" He said, glaring at the door, it didn't respond "obviously" he murmured furiously "you're a door!" He turned on his heel and leaned back against the door, exhaling sharply. Rhys had been attempting to open this door for half an hour even though he realized ages ago it wasn't going to budge. He was stupid to come up here, stupid to spend so much time here, stupid to even take an interest in mortals. His electric blue eyes scanned the land below him, mortals were scattered all across the bustling city. This was his only option, and he knew it, so taking one last lingering look at the door he began to make his way down the hill. 0 players like this post! Like? (Thanks) "You know, maybe you should worry less about college. It's totally stressing you out, Heather, and just because you graduated Valedictorian doesn't mean you have to go right away." Heather exhaled a slightly frustrated sigh at her friend's words. She knew that; she wasn't stupid. But it wasn't as if she had any reason to stay, either. She looked down at her coffee for a moment, then glanced up at Christina, "I know, but I can't stay here. I'll go crazy if I do." And with that she grabbed her bag and stood, saying shortly, "I'm going for a walk. I'll see you later." She then walked out of the small cafe, shouldering her bag and choosing a random direction to walk in, successfully ending up away from people after a few moments. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(no problem, and sorry for my delayed reply, I was camping :P) Rhys eventually gave up trying to walk through the long grass and switched to the footpath, it was crowded with humans and that bothered him a little. He made it to the bottom of the hill relatively quickly and sat down on a bench outside a Café. He watched as floods of people walked into the store and used their money to pay for their little necessities, Rhys liked how that whole system worked. Where he came from it was basically everyone for themselves, you want something, you just take it. Although his system was easier he couldn't help but think that the mortal's system would be a little more humane; then again they are Humans. After a while of just sitting and watching Rhys decided that all the noise and commotion was too much, he needed to get away from everybody else and just think. He stood up and looked around, his electric gaze falling on a girl who was walking briskly away from the crowds. He stood up and began walking in the same general direction, relaxing a little once the noise began to die down. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 18/01/17 @ 23:37:36 by Sprinkles (#86006) |

(it's okay, besides, camping is fun (sometimes)) Heather kept her eyes on the cracked sidewalk for a while, until there were less people around, and then finally looked up. It wasn't that she didn't like crowds, she was used to them after living in this city for so long, it was just the sheer amount of people made her slightly nervous. There was always a chance that there was someone with bad intentions, and when those bad intentions came to light she would rather not be near that person. After a few more minutes, she stopped and leaned against a building, relaxing for a moment with her eyes on the ground once more. She rubbed her forehead, thinking about how she should have bought another coffee before she left. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(thanks, and it was fun when it wasn't raining XD) Rhys continued walking for a while, he was admittedly lost in his own thoughts. It was only until some shifty looking people came into his line of sight that he started paying attention. After spending most of his life in a place where basically everyone wanted to hurt, rob and occasionally kill you he was experienced with these things. However, these were mortals, and Rhys didn't want to be quick to judge, so he shrugged it off. He stopped for a moment and leaned against a sign post, giving himself a brief moment to catch his breath. He didn't know what it was about this place, but he felt weaker than usual. He looked around, needing somewhere to go where he was out of sight. Although the veil would probably hide anything from the humans he didn't want to risk it. He had to contact his friends, it could be his only chance of getting home without traveling for ages. He spotted a building that looked deserted enough and walked over. He walked around the back and leaned against the wall, abruptly jumping back when something besides him moved. He let out a short, sharp yell, feeling kind of stupid when he realized it was only a person. He met her light grey eyes and sighed in relief "jeez, you scared me, I didn't think there would be anyone else back here." 0 players like this post! Like? |

(Yeah, rain most definitely ruins it...) Heather continued to rub her forehead, scrunching up her features as the sharp pain right in the middle of her forehead failed to disappear. It was like a headache, just... weird and only in the one spot. She cringed and grumbled to herself, and tugged her ponytail over her shoulder as she leaned her head back to rest against the cool brick of the building. She really just wanted to go home, to be alone. Her parents were both gone on business trips, and they would be gone for a long while, so she could just go home whenever she wanted to avoid people. She was just about to move to start the long-ish walk back when she nearly ran straight into a man, and she mimicked his yell and stumbled backwards, nearly falling onto her backside as she tried to catch her balance. She ogled him for a moment, completely confused as to why he would be here, of all places, when he spoke. She swallowed and rested a hand on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart, "That... was why I came back here. Because nobody comes back here..." 0 players like this post! Like? |

He reached a hand forward, almost as if to catch her if she were to topple foreward. "Sorry," he said, seeing her terrified expression and wondering for a fleeting moment if she could see him see him. He took a step back, frowning at her pained expression "I should go, are... Are you okay?" He asked, moving backwards slowly as he spoke. Rhys uttered a yelp as he crashed into something, at first he thought it was a wall; but his blood turned to ice upon feeling the surface rise and fall. He whipped around, completely forgetting about the human, his eyes locked with dark grey ones and Rhys was forced to stumble backwards as the demon walked forwards. "Ga, uh Kade! You know I was just on my way to your place, but I had complications with the door." He stammered, hand slowly fumbling for the small dagger he had in his back pocket. Kade narrowed his eyes, his deep, croaky voice making his neck hairs stand on end "Where is it?! It's been weeks Malum!" He roared, Rhys was about to mumble some pathetic excuse when Kade swung at him with a bony fist. Rhys dodged to the side and lunged at Kade with the dagger, the demon yelled in pain and disappeared in tendrils of black smoke. Rhys dropped the dagger and turned wide-eyed to the human "Uh... I can explain." 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 20/01/17 @ 21:57:11 by Sprinkles (#86006) |

She pressed her other hand against the wall of the building, still trying to breathe normally. He had scared her, that was for sure, but this man seemed rather harmless. Well, harmless as of now; he could always try something later. But she dismissed those thoughts as he started backing away, and she nodded in response to his question, "I am, thanks for asking." She was about to ask him the same question when he yelped, and she couldn't help but lean to the side to see what had caused the sound. Heather frowned as the two men exchanged words--apparently she was already forgotten--when the newcomer--Kade, was it?--swung a punch at the not-so-newcomer, and then he just...disappeared. Gone. There was just...smoke. Heather stared open-mouthed at the spot where Kade had been, not entirely sure what had happened. Her science driven mind was trying its hardest to figure out where he could have gone, how he could have disappeared, and it was failing miserably. She looked at the dagger on the ground, then up at the man in front of her, and started slowly backing away. 0 players like this post! Like? |

One look at her terrified and confused expression told Rhys that he had really messed up. He held his hands open in front of his chest, his brow twisting into a slightly panicked expression. He pointed at the dagger on the ground, shaking his head vigorously. "No, no I didn't kill him! He just... Went back..." He realized how stupid the words sounded just after they tumbled out of his mouth. He gestured at the dagger again, and without warning, it shot up into his hand. He let out a surprised gasp and then attempted to hold the dagger in the least menacing way possible. "I'm not going to hurt you, I swear, I didn't even hurt him, I just need to explain!" He stammered, dropping the small weapon at his feet to add influence to his point. 0 players like this post! Like? |

She continued to back up, not wanting to be near this maniac any longer. As she was walking, she was trying to dig through her bag through her phone, to call... who, the cops? They wouldn't do anything, not without a body, or blood, or any physical evidence. Heather was trying to ignore this man, but she dropped her phone and gaped at him when the dagger suddenly flew off the ground, back into his hand. By this point, her brain couldn't really handle much else, so she sat down and pressed her hand to her forehead, "This... none of this is possible..." 0 players like this post! Like? |

When she sat down Rhys felt just a little bit more relieved, at least she wasn't going to sprint off and tell the world about him; well not yet anyway. After she spoke he wondered how to explain to her, he would have to now... Wouldn't he? "Well, not possible in your World..." he said, his words slow and uncertain. He didn't quite know what to do, he had never been taught how to deal with a Human. This was due to the fact that they weren't really allowed in the Human's world. Rhys pondered whether to run off and leave her to hear or make a vague attempt to explain everything. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 23/01/17 @ 13:46:41 by Sprinkles (#86006) |

Heather groped for her phone, really just wanting to put it back in her bag. It was probably broken, as dropping electronics on asphalt tended to break them. She lifted her head to look up at him when she heard his words, and let out a sharp, high-pitched laugh, "Not in my world? What the hell are you talking about?" She then saw the dagger at his feet, and despite her wish to just get away from him, she couldn't help but scoot forward onto her knees to reach for it. 0 players like this post! Like? |
