He was a little shocked when she moved his elbows, but it was comfy so he didn't complain. He saw her smiling at him and wondered what that was about, did he owe her something? He smiled back, sarcastic and fake at first, but then it felt kind of right. "A continent huh? And why have they travelled to this Poland?" He asked, tensing up as a car (which he had learned must be avoided) whooshed past outside. He was silent for a moment when she asked for his name, names can be dangerous. "In simpler terms, I'm Rhys Malum, what's yours?" He asked, all traces of spite from his voice gone.

Heather tiled her head at his question, and laughed a little before sitting back on the couch, folding her hands on her stomach and looking up at him, "It's their anniversary or something... Or it could be a business trip, I don't really know." She noticed him tense up, but she didn't say anything, and sat up again and pulled her hair over her shoulder, sliding off her hair tie, "Rhys? I'm Heather, Heather Aclyam."

He nodded, still a little confused by the concept of Poland, but he didn't ask any more questions. "Hmm, this must be a custom that you people have, my parents were married for 600 years and never went to Poland. And I don't see why the people over there are any more businesslike than the people here." He murmured, watching her as she sat up and let her hair loose. He nodded, repeating her name once before glancing back out the window.

Heather laughed at him, and ran a hand through her hair to pull it out of her face, "A lot of people don't go to Poland for their anniversaries. And Poland probably didn't exist at the time when your parents were married, or there just wasn't a reason to go." She shrugged, and bit her lip, "And it's just a thing to travel internationally; makes people seem like they can afford anything so therefore people should think that' it's good to pay them for stuff because they can provide and... Oh, nevermind. This is what I get for living with economics professionals..." She grumbled this last part to herself, even though Rhys could probably hear. She looked at him again, and drummed her fingers on the couch before asking, hesitantly, "What are you?"

He listened to her talk about Poland, he understood what she was saying, but didn't get the point of Poland. He nodded, and before he could speak she did, and that time he really didn't understand it. He smirked, "you humans and all your rules, where I come from there are no rules..." He said, biting the inside of his cheek and thinking about the difference between Hell and Earth. He scoffed a little when she asked him what he was, he took the time to cross his legs and prop his chin on his hand. "That's a brave question, what are you?" He asked, looking at her for a while before answering her question. "You won't believe me if I tell you..."

Heather leaned back against the arm of the couch at his smirk, and narrowed her eyes at him before snorting, "At least when there are rules, people don't die like where you come from. Or get chased by things that could kill them." She folded her arms and glared at him for a moment, then relaxed and leaned her head against the side of the couch, watching him as he adjusted his position. Another frown crossed her face at his first response to her question, and she had to bite her tongue to keep from snapping at him. Her exhaustion was just catching up with her, so she was tired, and probably more than a little bit cranky, but she managed to stay awake enough to hear what he said next, and without thinking she kicked him in the shin, "That's not an answer. Tell me what you are."

He opened his mouth to argue, but she had made a fair point; so he sat there gawking for a moment. "Well, we barely know any better, at least we're not all tame like you." He muttered, getting caught slightly off guard at the sight of her glare. He looked towards the window again, and withing seconds there was a sharp pain in his shin. "shit!" He yelped, pushing himself to his feet and glaring down at her. That was uncalled for, he was only trying to drag things out; just to see how she would react. "If I tell you, you won't believe me. You have to promise not to call me crazy, or call the police or whatever!"

Heather grunted slightly when he didn't bother to argue, his expression was rather amusing for the time he was wearing it. She tilted her head at his yelp, then shook her her head, her voice sarcastic, "Sorry, my leg had a spasm. Do you need an ice pack?" She stretched her legs out over the couch when he stood, still looking up at him, "By this point, I think I'm about ready to believe anything... And as far as I can tell you don't actually exist, so the police couldn't even arrest you."

He glared down at her when she moved her legs, "no, I don't believe I do" he growled. Sweeping his hand across the couch he shoved her legs out of the way and sat briskly.He smirked at her, "Of course I'm real, and on that matter, a demon." He looked at her, somewhat nervously awaiting her reaction. He just hoped he wasn't going to get kicked again.

Her eyes widened when he growled at her, and she pulled her legs to her chest after he shoved them out of the way, feeling slightly nervous now. Despite her misgivings, she did raise an eyebrow at his proclamation, "A demon? Yeah right..."

He saw her tuck up her legs, and his gaze softened, he sighed when she spoke at last. He stood up, smirk returning "I told you wouldn't believe me, would you like to to prove it?" He asked, smiling a little at the thought of using his powers again.

She rested her chin on her knees, staring up at him with wide eyes when he stood. For once, she wasn't so willing to dismiss his claim as bull, not after what she had seen today. So she hesitantly nodded, and snorted to herself, "Something tells me you don't really need my permission, by that look on your face."

He shrugged and grinned a little. No, he didn't need her permission for anything, but he thought he might as well ask. He stretched out one hand and stepped closer to her. He held out his enclosed palm in front of her, eventually opening it slowly. In his palm, black flames flickered like shadows. It emitted a strange sort of heat, warm and welcoming, but at the same time cold and terrifying. He snapped his palm shut and let the flames die out, and then let his hand flop to his side.

Even though she was still mad at him for some reason, she did smile back, leaning more into the couch as he took a step closer to her. Heather didn't really know what she was expectintg, but the fact that he created fire in his hand, and didn't burn, didn't shock her as much as she thought it would. It was still fairly shocking, though, and she bit her lip as she stared at him for a minute. Then she got up and grabbed a blanket from the closet since she was now very, very cold, sitting on the couch and pulling it over her body, up to her shoulders, "But aren't demons supposed to be evil or whatever? You don't seem evil..."

He sat down quietly on the armrest, making room for her feet is she wanted to put them back. He watched as she grabbed a blanket and walked back to the couch. He didn't know whether to feel bad or impressed that it didn't compel her. He grinned "I'm impressed, most mortals probably would have tried to snatch it by now..." He said, looking down at her with a lopsided smile. However, that soon faded once she asked him if he was supposed to be evil. "I...Uh, I suppose so... Yeah."
