Rhys woke up with the dawn, like he did most mornings back home. He looked out of the window and gasped a little at the colours of the sunrise. The lighting didn't really change that much in hell. It got lighter abd darker with night and day, and crimson would occasionally light up the skyline, but he had never seen anything like this. He watched for what seemed like hours, until the sun was climbing steadily into the sky. The colours had all but faded now, and he turned around to see Heather stirring on the couch.

Heather kind of just flopped over on the couch, not having the will to get up and make herself something to eat like she really wanted to. She also wasn't totally sure where Rhys was, and let out a soft groan before she made herself sit up, yawning hugely before she stretched, popping her neck and easing out the kinks in her shoulders before she looked around, rubbing her eyes before she spotted him over by the window, just standing there. She grunted softly as a way of greeting, and shook her head a little. Too early.....

Rhys, who had spent the last hour wandering around the kitchen, somewhat bored, was glad to see that Heather was awake now. "Good Morning," he said, pausing and looking around the room for a clock before correcting himself "or should say afternoon? How did you manage to do that?" He asked, resting his elbows on the table and leaning forward on them, generally curious.

Heather finally pulled herself up off the couch, yawning again as she stretched, going into the kitchen to splash some cold water on her face to wake herself up a bit more, "It's called being a teenager...... we need our sleep." She smiled softly, and rubbed her stomach before looking in the fridge for something to eat, "Did you even sleep at all?"

(aha it kinda sucked because both of the races were canceled, we're having terrible storms and flooding here rip, how's life with you? XD)

He laughed and walked back over to the windowsill, leaning against it. "Of course I sleep" he scoffed, watching her rummage in the fridge. "My needs just aren't as basic as human ones are, what time is it anyway? Don't we have a road trip to be doing?" He asked, remembering their plan about halfway through his sentance.

When she couldn't find anything in the fridge she angrily shut the door, then looked back at Rhys, "If your needs aren't as basic, just what exactly are your needs?" When he mentioned a road trip she just stared at him blankly for a moment, then she remembered, "Oh, right..... we still have time, it's okay."

Rhys raised an eyebrow when she shut the door angrily, but could honestly understand her frustration. He thought about her question and honestly didn't know how to answer it. "Well, I suppose they're basic for me because it's all I've ever known. But our physical needs are different, or at least we require different levels of them, I still need to eat, sleep and drink, just not as often. I guess I've never thought of myself being different, I always saw humans as being needier than me." He trailed off and turned briefly to look out of the window again, "sounds good" he said with a smile.

"We're going to have to stop somewhere for breakfast......" She mumbled it mostly to herself before she turned back to Rhys, listening as he explained himself, then laughed softly at the last part of his statement, "Us humans are pretty needy, I'll give you that much. But we usually want things other than food, sleep, and drink, so you're a bit wrong there." She shrugged, and went to get a glass of water, raising her eyebrows at him questioningly to see if he wanted some.

He heard her talk about stopping for breakfast but seeing as it was more of a mumble he just nodded instead of replying. He stood up straight and moved away from the window sill, picking up his jumper from where he had left it yesterday. He didn't have any other luggage because his stay here wasn't exactly planned, but he wondered if Heather wanted to take anything. "Ah, like attention, love, and acceptance? It's nice to feel those things, but down in Hell its more hate and be hated back... If that makes any sense?" He explained, smiling but shaking his head to water.

Her eyebrows twitched up at his words, and she nodded a little, "For some. Others....really materialistic. But enough of that." She shrugged a little, and downed the rest of the water before setting the glass down, "It does make sense......well, kind of. Down there......do you guys want that?"
