He watched her go upstairs, and when she was out of sight he placed his hand under the water. It was cold, but that wasn't what was bothering him. He wasn't used to this water, this water wasn't like the water down in hell. This water didn't tingle or burn, it ran smoothly across his hand. He cupped it with his palms and washed his face off. He then soaked his arms and dried off. There was still a little ash on his clothes, but he was mostly immune †o it. He caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and was mostly shocked. He hadn't gotten a good look at his human form before. He dusted the soot out of his hair and was surprised at how clean he looked. He heard the shower turn off upstairs, and assumed heather was almost done. He pulled off his shirt and placed it on the counter, using a cloth of some sort to wipe the dirt off.

Heather dried off her hair again, putting it up so it was out of her face before going back downstairs, pausing at the bottom when she remembered Rhys was here. She sighed softly and went into the kitchen, freezing a little when she saw Rhys without a shirt... She made sure she was not blushing before she went to the fridge, looking over at him, "Are you hungry?"

He had been so absorbed in what he was doing that he didn't hear her come down, he only noticed her when she spoke. he jumped a little and rushed to put his shirt back on before walking over to the fridge. "A bit, what do you have to eat?" He asked awkwardly.

She found it funny that he seemed in a hurry to get his shirt back on when e noticed her, and a small smile graced her features as she turned back to the fridge, peering inside, trying to forget about how short her shorts were, "We.... don't have any leftovers, but I could make something. Do you..." She paused, biting her lip as she looked back up at him, "Do you know what you would like to eat?"

He thought for a moment, Rhys hadn't eaten in a while, then again he didn't need to eat as much as humans. Fruit did grow down in the Underworld, though it was nothing like the fruit up here. He was rather fond of Ambrosia, a food that was rare where he came from. He peeked around the side of the fridge. "Do you have any pomegranate?" He asked.

She looked over at him as he thought, waiting patiently for his decision. She honestly had no idea if someone like him would even eat normal food, so she was a bit apprehensive when he peeked around the side of the fridge,, and pursed her lips a little, "There's pomegranate juice, but no actual fruit... I was just going to make a grilled cheese for myself if you want one... If you want the juice it's right there." She pointed, and started to get out the stuff she would need to make her own food.

He had never tried the juice before, but he was sure it would be as nice as the actual fruit. He thought for a moment about her offer; he wasn't too sure what a "grilled cheese" was. "They both sound good," he said, taking a step back from the fridge. He walked around to the back of the counter and sat down on a stool. "What exactly is a grilled cheese?" He asked, hoping she wouldn't think he was stupid for asking.

She nodded, and got a glass down from the cupboard, pouring the juice in it and handing it over to him when he sat down, "It's pretty strong, to me anyway, so if it's not good like that I can dilute it with water." She turned the stove on and put a pan on it, taking out bread and whatever else she needed, starting to make their sandwiches. His question made her smile, and she brushed a lock of hair out of her face before looking back up at him, "It's a sandwich but with only cheese in the middle, and it gets grilled so the cheese melts and sticks to the bread. Grilled cheese."

He grinned, and adjusted his seating, "right, hence the name grilled cheese" he said. He grasped the glass and pulled it towards himself, studying it for a moment. The dark colour reminded him of home, in a sort of sickly-sweet way. Although it was fun down there sometimes, it was usually unbearable; that's why he had been so fascinated by humans.

She smiled and nodded, starting to grill the sandwiches. She found it super adorable that he didn't know what a grilled cheese was, even more so that he wasn't embarrassed to ask. Her thoughts, though, were distracting her so much that she burned her fingers on the pan, and she growled to herself before taking the sandwiches off and putting them on plates, going to run her hand under lukewarm water, cursing herself for being so stupid.

He stood quickly and watched her walk over to the sink; he followed. "Are you okay?" He asked, watching her run the water over her fingers. "Here," he said, holding his hand out and taking her burnt one. He enclosed it in his, concentrating hard, yet when he took it away the burn looked no different. He cursed, his powers were limited up here, and it looked like his healing abilities were fading. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a thin, silver bottle. His hands trembled a little at the memories that surfaced with this bottle. He opened the lid, revealing a thin golden power. He placed the tip of his finger in the dust, and tapped it on her burnt fingers; hoping that would work.

She grimaced a bit as the water ran over her fingers, but she tried to hide it when he came over, not wanting him to worry about it; it was just a stupid burn, "Yeah, I'm fine...." She trailed off as he took her hand in his, frowning a bit as he let go and started cursing. She cradled her hand gently as he pulled the bottle out of his pocket, and finally couldn't contain her curiosity anymore and blurted out, "What is that? What are you doing?"

He drew his attention back to her "it won't hurt, it's Ambrosia, its... From an old friend and It'll heal you" he encouraged, handing her the bottle. "Try it, just dab a little on, it should help the burn, I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I usually... Can do these things myself."

She looked up at him as he talked, taking the bottle and looking down at it, biting her lip before opening the bottle and putting the stuff on her hand, looking down at it, "You can heal?"

Rhys ran a hand through his hair "well, sort of I suppose... Guess I never really thought about it, now that I think about it, it does seem a little strange. That a demon can heal, that. How's your hand?" He asked, leaning forwards to get a better look at where the burn was.
